I liked my overnight here. It's quirky but not charmless. Called for a complimentary pickup from the roadway just outside MAD Term 2 using my mobile (Americans: make sure your phone is enabled for intl calling BEFORE you depart the U.S.). There's signage with a few dozen hotel numbers including Best Western Hotel Villa De Barajas. Remember you'll need to dial the country code "+34" in front of the rest of the number. A van was dispatched and arrived quickly. The check-in counter inside the tiny reception area feels rather like a car rental kiosk. Check-in was quick and my questions were answered efficiently. I found the room to be smallish but very clean and the bed firm, as I desire. The bathroom, also small, was nevertheless a standout: spotlessly clean, modern and with good shower water pressure. There were a few English-speaking tv channels, as I recall, but when I landed on CNBC Intl (financial news) my wish had come true. I had takeout from the Chinese restaurant across the road, pretty good. Overhead halogen lights above the bed in Rm 204 could possibly sear your retinas. I didn't have breakfast in the room adjacent to the lobby but complimentary freshly brewed coffee dispensed from the machine in the bar was excellent. I'd stay again.

The location, cost and accommodations were great. A few steps away from a major square, metro and tons of restaurants. We could not have asked for anything better. In addition, their was WiFi access in the room.

"Hotel Preciafos - centrally located"
We were very happy with the hotel. The only caveat is that if you want a room with 2 beds, those rooms do not have windows. They were willing to switch our room, as the other felt like a closet. The exterior rooms are lovely with nice large bathrooms, and one bed.

This hotel is ideally located. The staff was helpful and the room was very nice.
"Beautiful spacious rooms"
The hotel is within walking distance of many museums and other areas of interest. The front desk at the hotel could have been more helpful - not speaking Spanish is definately a big disadvantage. The room we had was very spacious and comfortable and clean. Having the water, soda and beer free in fridge was a very nice touch.
"Great location - but get a map!"
Hotel was great, however we were lost half the time since we don't speak Spanish. The map the hotel provided was too hard to read. My advise would be to arrive with a good map and know where you are going! Hotel was very nice and the staff was helpful.

"Great - but make sure you've mapped its location"
Streets in Madrid are confusing, so we walked around the area for 1hour before finding the hotel (which we'd been so close to the whole time)! Wished we'd mapped it earlier... Otherwise, it was great. PS. Yummy buffet breakfast

The hotel is in a good location with several good restaurants nearby. There is an internet cafe across the street, and a wonderful yogurt place two doors down. You can easily walk to Gran Via, Plaza Espana, Plaza Mayor and lots of other tourist areas.

voir commentaire plus haut , bonne situation ,propre et friendly , personnel efficace et à l'écoute , ma chambre aurait pu etre plus spacieuse , mais ok pour 1 court séjour mes amies avaient une meilleure chambre au meme tarif , je n'ai pas voulu réclamer pour avoir l'équivalente.

Tout d'abord l'hotel est vraiment tres bien placé. Nous avions une chambre au 5ieme avec une petite terrasse, elle était spacieuse, très confortable avec un design moderne simple et agréable. un excellente adresse.

TB mais contrairement à ce qui est noté sur le site au moment du paiement, l hotel charge la tva en plus de la note au checkout... ce qui ajoute près de 20% à la note des 3 nuits !...
