Easystay Motel - St Kilda

Booked two rooms, one studio apt and one hotel. At check in hotel roomwas upgraded to two studios in order to keep us at the same location, 65 Acland. Pluses were location, close to all the benefits of Acland st. And next to a 24 hr McDonalds. Down side was location as there was some noise but easily solved by the AC unit. Staff were lovely - apart from the cleaners who just let themselves into our room when I was showering and then the next day when I was sleeping. My door was locked, but they just let themselves in with their key. The StKilda one is on a very loud and busy street, with a halfway house across the road which meant we had drug addicts and drunks out the […] front all day everyday and night. Lots of yelling and screaming coming from that lot. As I said, the front desk staff were very lovely though, I wouldn't reccommend it if you are planning to try and get some sleep, it is a good place to go on a budget if you want to go out on the town all night in Melbourne. Good shops and restaurants near by, and very close to the beach which was lovely. Tram is heaps noisy, so even if you did try and sleep during the day, you've got to be a heavy sleeper! Read more

Have used Easystay before but never this location, was very disappointed with this one apart from convenience of location it had nothing going for it. Room old and felt dirty, cups for tea were filthy! after one shower there was no hot water left. Also allowing other patrons use communal outside area til 3am is ridiculous. Although the location of the Easystay Motel, 63 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, was walking distance to most sights eg. Esplanade and Acland Street, the standard of the room and the staff was very disappointing. Information was not passed on from one shift to another even though computer notes were taken. This motel is in a great location and the rooms are fine and comfortable however we stayed on a Saturday night and it is right above a nightclub that plays lound music till 3am. If this doesnt bother you then this is the motel for you.

We are simple travellers. This motel was fine for us - very convenient location (walk out the door onto a tram - short walking distance to St Kilda's best bars and eateries), and it was clean and tidy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

There is washing machine for hotel quest use, but it was broken. Full of water. No extra towels or sheets. You have to pay extra if you want that service.

The room was old which would be ok but it had hair from someone else in the shower. The rest was ok-close to tram and the beach. However, the worst and biggest issue was the bars around the hotel. On saturday the bar music went till 4:50am exactly and was loud and the whole room VIBRATED. Absolutely impossible to sleep. Need I say more? The photos on line were not of the room we were given. The only reason we stayed there at all was because it was too late to stay another night. We booked for three nights and only stayed for one.

Location is really good - 2 minutes to the Esplanade/ beach. Downstairs are all the cafes/ restaurants on Fitzroy Street. However, and I've read this before on blogs, there must be a homeless shelter or soup ktchen across the road because from the Friday afternoon I arrived through until Sunday afteroon there were drunk or stoned people yelling at each […] other and passers-by constantly. If you have a room on the Fitzroy Street side you won't get any sleep. At least the room was cleanish (if you discount the thick layer of dust on everything). I mean no vermin. the hotel is near st kilda beach but far from everything else. the trams are excellent way to get around but have to travel a bit. the staff were helpful in booking an airport shuttle from there. The Motel is different, the rooms are located around St Kilda and are not in one location. Price was value for money. Family room we paid for was more like a serviced apartment. Staff were friendly. Zimmer war großzügig und da in Richtung Hof gelegen auch ruhig. Es gab leider keinen Internetzugang, weder im Zimmer noch in der Rezeption sondern nur die Empfehlung in der Nähe sei ein Cafe mit Wlan.

Vi (2 äldre damer) anlände till hotellet kl 0030 en lördagskväll. Området var allt annat än trevligt! Rummet visade sig vara av enklaste vandrarhems-standard. Tack vare portiern René, som snabbt såg att rummet inte motsvarade det rum vi beställt ordnade snabbt ett nytt hotell med samma ägare. Han körde oss själv till Hotel Charsfield. 只想去聖柯達玩的朋友,先去定別間吧!!若沒有才可以姑且考慮這間..住的房間門跟窗都是木造的,外面的冷風不停地灌進來,暖氣機也是壞的!重點是熱水洗到一半就會沒有了!有打電話跟櫃台說,他會說要等個15分鐘左右才會再有,那我吸到一半的豈不是冷死!!我住兩晚,第二日也沒有換給我新的浴巾.....哀
