"Comfort and a warm fireplace"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had been having a lot of rain and really just wanted to go home! But upon checking into The Hotel, we were so comforted by the staff, especially Tasha and her tour of the lovely amenities. She served us drinks and made us comfortable in front of the warm fireplace and we said "Ahhh". The room was large with a lovely view, the bed very comfortable and the dinner superb. The staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful, thanks, we'll be back!
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.

Hotel was OK, but my heat went out and they brought in a space heater. I thought it was temporary and they would come in and fix the thermostat. Never came back! Should have packed my sleeping bag and an extra pair of wool socks!!

"Very Nice Hotel"
I enjoyed my time at the Burlington, and for the price, it was well worth it. It was a little farther from Stephen's Green than I had hoped, but the service was great, and I was able to check in early on the day that I arrived. The personnel were very friendly, and the room was modern, and clean. Overall, I think I would stay at the Burlington agai […] n. Read more
"Pleasant Dublin Hotel"
We stayed at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin for a week while attending a conference. Our room had been newly renovated and was quite nice with all the necessary attributes. I gave the hotel a '3' for condition because some of the rooms that others in our group were in had not been renovated. The hotel had very good meeting space for our group of almost […] 200 people and provided us with tasty lunches and a nice banquet dinner. The hotel is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the very center of Dublin in a lovely residential area. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby and many good shops and restaurants within an easy walk or short bus or taxi ride. We would stay here again. Read more
"The Burlington - Excellent location"
Very well located between downtown Dublin finance center and Ballsbridge, close to Grafton Street. Located in nice residential area. Would stay there again.
"Burlington, Dublin"

"The Burlington Hotel - close to everything"
The Burlington Hotel was close to all locations. The hotel staff was very accomidating and friendly. Only down side was the wi-fi service was very spotty and slow. I would definetely stay there again.

"Burlington hotel"
The hotel is handy for town but in good neighbourhood, near an excellent pub. Suitable for single travellers as bar food is excellent and you are made welcome when dining alone. Computers in business centre need upgrade for those without laptops or I macs. Parking is free. Overall very suitable for business use but not a place for children.
"Burlington Hotel Dublin Ireland"
The hotel is in a great location. The room was fine. Maybe a little "tired" but clean and comfortable. We were facing the front and the street but there was not much audible street noise. The hotel was quiet inside and we had no problems sleeping. The hotel staff was accomodating. We switched rooms from one equipped for a wheelchair to a regular room […] without any problem. The double bed was very small. The internet access was not great. It cost 2 euros for 15 minutes and the computer ran very slowly. Great location for going downtown. Read more
"Burlington Hotel Dublin -- eh!"
The staff (with the sole exception of one of the concierge staff) were at best indifferent. The in-house restaurant charged exhorbitant prices for less-than-acceptable food. Since there is no AC, when it gets hot you have to open the window which only opened a small way and did not provide much circulation.

"Good location, poor service"
Although the hotel is conveniently located to transportation to and from the airport and walking distance to the center city, it has far to go with regard to client services. There was no heat in the room. The hot water took minutes to arrive at the faucets, the bathroom commode was not properly cleaned after the previous user of the room and there […] were no connection wires for the internet. I will not be coming back to this property....not worth the hassle. Read more

"great room for the money"
The room was comfortable and included a FABULOUS breakfast buffet. I wasn't prepared for the distance of the location, relative to the main shopping area and park. It was safe enough to walk back to the hotel, however at night -- even after the 'Literary Pub Crawl" that ended @ midnight. No restaurants nearby, so be prepared to take a taxi everywhe […] re. "Less than promised"
Even though the hotel lobby was more than impressive, the room (besides being an extremely long walk from the elevator) was older than expected and the trash in the bathroom was filled with a previous patron's vodka bottle. Also, the staff was rather unfriendly and not very helpful.

"Average Hotel-Poor Service"
My wife and I requested a smoking room. When we arrived we were put in a nice non smoking room. When we explained that we had requested a smoking room they moved us to a lesser room for the same price. Had a visit 2nd night from hotel security saying we had been loud the night before, which we had not. After he left our phone was cur off and our keys […] were deactivated with no explaination. We left the next day, one day early fearing for our safety, and were not reimbursed for our last night. Strangest experience I ever had. Read more
"A very exceptional Hotel"
This hotel is suited for all type of customers; from the single busiess traveller to parties on tour in Ireland. The decor is very lavish and large but the service compliments this as it is personal. My only minor critisism was that when booking online they do not seem take credit card details on arriveal at the desk ,so when eating and drinking I […] did not havethe facility to place the charge on to my room. The consierge was very knowledgeable about Dublin and travelling in the city. I would recommend this hotel. Read more
"Great room for the money"
Service was great, staff very cordial and helpful. Will definetely stay there again if I find myself in Dublin again.

"Generally good but a little tired around the edges"
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Burlington (Only down point was that we had the conference room aircon fans by our window) The bathroom also needed a "sprucing up". The breakfast was very good and the hotel bar very comfortable. It is very easy to get too A taxi cost approx 7euro or it takes 15-20 minutes to walk from Grafton street/St Stephens […] Green. "Good value for money"
The Burlington has gone through a refurbisment that has meant it has a new night club and main bar. On the other hand the rooms seem not to have been touched. They are basic but clean. A good hotel for an extended weekend.
"Would not rocommand it to anyone"
when we first cheaked in we were given a room with to single beds when we went down to reception we were met with a very un helpful lady and alot of talk we were given a double bed different room and in the coner of the room there was alot of dampness i really dont know how this hotel is rated 4 star i have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels all over the […] would i would only rate this 1 or 2 star and that is been nice about it ...... "Great value for the price"
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and the staff are very friendly. There's not a whole lot of extra space in the rooms themselves, but they have every amenity that one might need. I'd certainly stay here again!
"Outstanding Hotel"
Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Burlington Hotel. It was a bit difficult to find. The address was Upper Leeson Street but it appeared the hotel was really on Sussex/Upper Leeson junction. It was very clean. We did not use any of the hotel services because we spent most of our time exploring Dublin.
"Great service but hotel needs a refurb"
Had a great stay in the Burlington. The staff were friendly and polite and the room was comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel is starting to show signs of wear and tear, it could do with refurbishment and a coat of paint.
"Will stay again"
I found the Burlington a very relaxing experience with friendly helpfull staff. The room was comfortable except for the heat from the weather which because of health and safety couldn't be sorted out by opening the windows too wide, so that's not the hotel's fault. The foyer was lively and the doorman/porter very helpfull with tour info and timetables […] etc. And the taxi rank at the gate was perfect. Will definitely stay again. Read more
"Lovely Hotel"
Everything Perfect
"No air conditioning"
ALways check ahead to see if your hotel has aircon. I didn't, I suffered.
"Excellent Hotel"
Check in and out were efficient, room was very comfortable, meals in hotel were a little high priced.
"Burlington Hotel Dublin"
Good hotel, although the food was expensive and of poor quality
"Would gladly stay again"
Sale price made the distance from city center worth the traveling. Bus system works well to and from the hotel, so learn how to use it and you will lvoe this hotel for sure. Food there is good, pricy but good, enjoy Ireland! MOSt understanding and helpful staff we have had in ages!
"All expectations exceeded"
We spent three days at the hotel and found it most relaxing, clean and friendly. Great value for money and very central to Grafton Street and the surrounding areas.
"Outstanding Hotel"
I was a little nervous because someone else said it looked like a hospital from the outside, well it is an older hotel but they are working hard at updating. The room was very clean, large and even had AC. We did end up getting upgraded the concierge level, which included a free breakfast on our floor of crossiants, juice, coffe, etc. Not the best breakfast […] but for days we were heading out and didn't have to sit down for breakfast it was a nice start to get us going. The lobby is great, two bars, a restaurant and couches everywhere. Our hotel was busy place downstairs always alot of people just hanging out. Like others said it was right on the AirCoach line from the airport. It was a little bit of walk to get to some things but there are always taxis waiting outside the hotel. But it was nice that it was a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend! Read more
"Comfortable but far from luxurious"
This hotel has a good name, but while staying there it became obvious to me that nothing had been spent on it in at least 5 years. I give it another 5 and it will be a poor hotel. Right now it still is clean and comfortable but their policy of competing on price means the hotel will suffer long term damage. If you want to experience the Burlington, […] go now or risk disappointment. Read more
"Good Location but Shabby Hotel"
The Burlington is definitely not the hotel it once was. The room, while clean was very shabby and in need of an update. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the bed linen was harsh - both had seen better days. I may have been unlucky with the room I was allocated but I would search for other hotels before I would stay here again. In my opinion not […] a 4 star hotel. Read more
Attended a conference at the Burlington. Excellent arrangements. Very helpful and friendly staff

"Very convenient and comfortable hotel."
We enjoyed our stay at the Burlington. It is within walking distance of St. Stephen's Green. Good public transport links. Bus stop outside hotel with No.145 connecting directly with Heuston Station.
