"What an awful stay"
Had to call twice for shuttle, it arrived 1 hr. later, shuttle unidentifiable small paper note in window. Staff very unprofessional, not helpful. Room located under office, staff very loud all night and day (talking and stomping), didn't hardly get any sleep after a 6 hr. flight. Room heater on max. when we arrived. Opened window to cool room down, […] but the hotel staff was smoking directly outside our window, had to close it. The TV quit working in all the rooms. Shady unsafe neighborhood, no restaurants close by. Other guests there had similar complaints. Worst hotel experience ever by far. Not worth the stay at any price. "Too far from things"
If you don't have a car, this is not the place to stay. No restaurants within walking distance. The airport shuttle only runs on the hour, so plan ahead. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the room was small, but clean. "Old Motel Near the Highway"
This is an old walkup motel which has no sound barrier. The people above can easily be heard at 4 AM even though they were not wearing their shoes. The highway immediately adjacent to the building added to the noise. One of the beds apparently wasn't slept in although people sat on it - the sheets had sand on them and showed the imprint of the mattress […] pad underneath from the weight of the user of the bed. I asked that the bed be changed since I was going to sleep in it but since there was only one employee in the building, the receptionist, she indicated I would have to make it myself. I asked for a partial rebate on the fee which was passed on to the management the next day. I was told by management that since my reservation was through Expedia, I would have to seek redress from them. Parking would have been a problem if the motel was full. The room I stayed in was 30 feet off of a major street (two lanes each direction) which had heavy traffic including semi trucks all night long. There was no protection against the street noise. As a result it was impossible to sleep. The Rodeway Inn Logan Airport advertises a shuttle to pick guests up at the airport and also to take them to various stops near the hotel (however, the shuttle will not go into downtown Boston). During my stay, the shuttle was occupied by cruise ship guests going to their ship. I was not picked up at the airport and had to take a taxi to the hotel. I requested two rooms. The first room with one bed and the second with three beds (three adult males). When we arrived, the second room had two beds - the gal at the desk stated that they don't have rooms for three. She charged me an extra $15.00 for a cot. The gal at the desk said the cot would be delivered once the driver came back from the airport […] - about 15 minutes. We waited over an hour for the cot. I finally had to go to the front desk to request it. Then, in the morning - we caught the 4AM shuttle to the airport and when I arrived at the desk at 3:45AM the gal was on the phone with the home office and I waited there for six or so minutes until she could assist me. I was happy with the fact that the hotel provided a free airport shuttle ride to and from the airport. I was able to get a pick up around 7:30pm (25 min. ride) and a drop off at Logan at 4 am so this was convenient. The airport was not as close as I had imagined (especially with traffic) and the area seemed very dodgy (even unsafe). I am not familiar […] with East Boston so not super central to things. The hotel outside did not look as nice as I had expected. The surrounding area appearance did not help either. The hotel did not have an elevator so I had to take 3 heavy suitcases up two flights of stairs. There was no available male staff to assist either. The female receptionist asked to help, which was nice but she looked thin and frail. The room was beautiful and very spacious but the inside of the bathroom shower had an opened bar of soap and wrapper still left from the previous hotel guest not to mention there was hair in the shower. The bed was super large and comfortable. The television LCD was large but when I looked for the remote I never found it. I called reception and she said she did not know where it is normally placed. I asked reception 2 questions that of who she was uninformed. Overall the room was nice but the outside not too great.
