Location was the best...2 blocks to Bourban Street. Hotel stay included a free continental breakfast which was just the right amount. Rooms clean and beds ok. Pillows were the worst ever. Little hard squares. Problem getting hot water fast...you had to run for awhile to get it. I would stay there again.

Microwave with huge dent - did not seem safe. No water pressure in shower. Sheets had holes. Bed not made but every other day. Towels threadbare and scratchy. Tiny CRT tevision. Furniture wobbly. By 'historic', I think they mean 'ancient and in poor repair'. Bellman and front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was not done the following day. Went down to say something and they said that it would be taken care of. Left for the afternoon, came back and still n ot cleaned. Went down again and they said that all the staff went home. Really disappointed

There was plenty of hot water when we stayed here. I had read several reviews from the past about not having enough hot water. We got to breakfast about 30 minutes before it was scheduled to end and there was no food left. The swimming pool was about the size of a large closet. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Pros: 1) bed comfy, 2 chairs & table made room. 2) Only a 2 block walk to the French Quarter. 3) Great breakfast: the usual muffins and pastries, fresh fruit, but also bacon or sausage, fruit, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs. PS. elevators worked fine. CONS: 1) In our 5th floor room there was no hot water 3 of our 5 days. It took over 10 minutes for […] water to get tepid. After 3 complaints to front desk the afternoon desk person sent a maintenance man up to the room and we had hot water for that night and the next morning. Loved this place...the staff is so attentive. The hotel has been renovated and it's so clean everywhere. You will be closed to the French Quater...just two blocks from Bourbon street

Location was very good, Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, when the food was actually available - run outs were frequent. However the mattresses should have been replaced in 1980 - both had ruts in the middle. You had to hang onto the edge to prevent rolling into the middle. Beware the Cable Cars if your room faces the street. […] They run from 6:15 AM to close to 12 MN and are very, very noisy. No business center to print airline tickets. Limited luggage storage space, but staff worked with us to accomodate 8 bags for our party of four. I won't be back. Read more

The Hotel was conveniently located, not that dirty. Breakfast was mediocre, but tolerable. I've had worse. Wi-Fi was adequate. Room was clean and comfortable. Obviously, the best thing about the hotel is location - near but not in the French Quarter, and convenient to street cars.

we arrived a little early..and couldnt check in. the lobby was constantly littered with people waiting to check in...a better staging area with fruit,snacks and drinks would help the room was clean and bright.. nicely decorated..(housekeeping throwing dirty line on the floor in hallways not only makes a beautiful hotel look horrible but also is hazardous […] for falls and fire, not to mention contamination of the area with soiled linen.. breakfast was ok..still a working progress the front desk was helpful and friendly..except one clerk who was rude to people..we stayed away from her.. missed the mark on us choosing the cotton exchange for our honeymoon..could have wowed with flowers or cheap champagne.. but I'd still your recommend it every time.... i think you guys are way better then the two stars this site gives.. No hot water. No ice bucket. No coffee pot. Paid and extra $11 for king size bed an that is what we got. But there was a bed and tv and the burrito place across the street is yum.
