"Pretty much perfect for a quick New Orleans vacay"
If you're in Nola to party but are on a budget, want to be downtown but not in the Quarter, have kids or will be meeting up with family, this is your place. Great quality for the price. It's in the CBD, in between uptown and downtown, right off Julia St., which during the day is a street full of art galleries. At night the area surrounding the hotel […] is loud, so if you're there for that, more power to you. We were two old friends there with our daughters ages 6 and 11 and we found it amusing, really. The hotel is right near the CAC and some decent restaurants and a PJ'S coffeehouse within walking distance, as is the St. Charles streetcar that you can pick up near Lee Circle. Be prepared to pay for parking, though. We didn't have to pay because we have a handicapped plate, and for anyone with that need, we always found street parking within 2 blocks of the hotel with little effort each time we needed to park. The overnight lot is $30 for 24 hours, though, and hotel valet parking is $25 overnight. The breakfast was pretty standard, but good enough. My daughter and I loved the little pool area. The staff was very, very nice and helpful. My immediate family lives in New Orleans and so I personally almost never need a hotel, but I will be recommending this place to anyone who asks me for a good hotel on a budget. "close to the World War ll Musieum, and gooddinning"
Hotel staff was very helpful. Room was nice and clean and had a kitchenette (Refri & Micro Wave). Harrah's casino was about a 16 minute walk and Burbon street was only 5 minutes more. Free Parking can be problem, there is little to be had. There are parking lots, but they are Not cheap... So has the Hotel. All in all it was a Grand stay...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed 2 nights to break up a long drive. Hotel close to everything, walked to French Quarter, Harrah, and WWII museum. Actually extended stay after seeing hotel and city. We do the museum, city tour, and ghost tour of French Quarter, would recommend all. Will be back for a longer stay and stay at this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to WWII Museum"
I picked this hotel because it looked like it was close the the WWII Museum which it is and because it had a pool. The pool was very small but everything else about the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. It wasn't close to much else but the Riverwalk. If you wanted to go to […] Canal Street it was quite a walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet location walking distance to all sights"
Really enjoyed the location of this hotel. Minutes walk to the fabulous WW2 museum and a comfortable 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. The warehouse district where this hotel is located is quiet. My only issue is that the streets all around the hotels were being repaired which meant for some closed sidewalks, dust and noise. Hotel is a great value […] for New Orleans and the staff were helpful, breakfast was good as well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved our stay!!"
I brought my granddaughter and her best friend to see the city for their high school graduation trip. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with big smiles from Bianca and Kierra! Kierra noticed us looking at flyers for tours and stepped in to book tours for us. They both recommended sites to see and restaurants to eat at. We were very […] pleased! We had a little issue-not hotel related and Emanuel stepped right in and got the issue completely resolved! Randolph was extremely friendly and made sure we were enjoying our stay. When we left we felt like we left behind 4 friends. I will also add that they have the best complimentary breakfast around! I visit New Orleans often and I was very impressed. I cannot remember the lady's name who served in there but she was a doll and took that area very serious....and if you like to talk basketball she knows all about it. She is a little spitfire....don't get her started about Lebron unless you are a fan.....LOL!! Overall had the most enjoyable time here and will most certainly be my choice again and again when I return. I usually try to stay in different hotels each visit but never again....we found our home away from home! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Its not in the French quarter but if you are a walker like me then its no big deal. Maybe a 20min walk. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast, to me, was the best free breakfast I have had at a hotel yet. Fridge microwave and sink in the room. Now this did not bother me, but if your room is on the x30's side .. I was is in 336... Friday and Saturday for […] sure you could hear music until the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't overwhelming or bothersome to me but if night noise brothers you, keep this in mind. "one of the best values close to downtown"
Loved it. Havre been travelling to New Orleans and this is as close to a perfect package as I've found. In the warehouse district, so really neat places within walking distance. Rooms are great-suites and very roomy. Shower pressure was awesome-a problem with most hotels near or in downtown. Overnight parking was reasonable. Free breakfast was phenomenal- […] one of the best I've had. I will stay there now every time I go there on business Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fourth time's a charm"
We didn't have a very good experience here. We arrived late the first night and the room was good (traveling with a family of four). The next day, we tried the TV and it didn't work. The hotel sent maintenance over but the man was from "the hotel down the street" and didn't know how to fix it. We were moved to another room which smelled strongly of […] smoke (it is a non-smoking hotel). We were moved to a third room that seemed fine, but starting at 10pm the bar across the street (appropriately called the "Red I") pounded bass that vibrated the walls/window of the room until late at night. The fourth room was handicap enabled (the only remaining room) but was comfortable and quiet. RECOMMENDATION: ask for an inward (courtyard-facing) room, especially if you're not a party animal. The location was fine and the breakfast buffet was busy but free/good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to everything--therefore a little noisy"
Great and easy place to stay for a quick visit to New Orleans. Our room had a lot of extra bedding (two pull out beds) in addition to the king bed. Great if going with a group or traveling as a family. New Orleans is a fun town--therefore things can be a bit noisy! Can hear some of the action from a few neighboring bars at night from the windows. Otherwise […] an easy, pleasant place to stay. The free breakfast in the morning was also a huge plus! "close to Convention Center"
The front desk personnel, the continental breakfast staff, the cleaning staff were all very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable. I certainly would stay there again and would recommend it to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent place but bring earmuffs"
I will start out with the good. The hotel looks great from the inside and the rooms are clean and have all the basic things you will need. In addition, the staff seemed very helpful and of course the price is great too. Now, for the bad. For some reason it seems that the rooms have very thin walls to the outside. There is a popular bar right across […] the street, and if you are staying on a weekend night, don’t expect to get much sleep. I understand that the hotel can’t control the outside environment, but every noise that is occurring outside will feel like it is right in your room. This will include drunken people from the bar next door, and all kinds of cars and trucks driving through all throughout night. In addition, the neighborhood that the hotel is located is in not exactly the best. The streets are a bit dodgy, and appear not too safe. And there was an abandon warehouse right outside our window for our viewing pleasure. So overall, if you are trying to save some bucks, go for it, but bring ear plugs. If you can afford it, I would recommend staying elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great bargain in the Big Easy!"
From the friendly and helpful clerks to the conscientious cleaning staff (with wonderful complimentary breakfast in between), we had a great stay at Spring Hill Marriott. I will stay here next time I'm in New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst experience ever"
4 jackets simple dissapeared from my closet and nobody is gives any answer about it. They just don´t care. I have never thought this could happen in a Marriot in a US hotel. Please think twice before going to this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown I am extremely sorry that we were unable to locate the jackets in your room after your departure. We are currently working in conjunction with the Marriott Claims department to see what we can do about your missing lost and found items. We are reviewing cameras, interviewing associates, etc. As soon as we have more information the claims department will be back in touch with you.

"The Best Mardi Gras with one exception"
This Hotel and it's Staff was the best. I went this past weekend for Mardi Gras and I had my kids with me. The Room was very clean and large enough for all of us to be comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was actually great with enough choices for everyone. "Don't stay here if you want to sleep!"
I was here with my family of 5. Our room was about 50 feet from a nightclub across the street, the music was so loud, the hangers were vibrating in the closet. It went on until 6 AM. Response by SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown I am sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. A portion of our hotel is located across the street from a nightclub. We have bought a white noise machine for when we cannot move guest’s rooms and are testing the noise level on weekends to ensure the nightclubs stay within the mandated noise ordinance. I also apologize that the staff was not more courteous to you. I assure you that we will begin more training immediately with our staff on the proper way to deal with complaints such as yours.
"great location, but parking is not included"
Close to Carnival Port, restaurants, and French Quarter. Very nice and clean. Staff was polite but not overly friendly. Hotels.com said parking was $20 - they charged me $25 even when I showed them the confirmation. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for the price"
We booked a room here for the weekend before Fat Tuesday, and we're surprised how close it is to all the Mardi Gras action. The rooms are clean, nothing special though. No ventilation in the bathroom is the only thing I would complain about. All in all, I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Value for Mardi Gras in New Orleans"
This room easily accommodated 5 people. It was very clean and quiet, with good (although expensive) onsite parking. The morning breakfast served both hot and cold food. "Overnight Stay In New Orleans"
The hotel was great and the staff were kind and very helpful. Connecting to the wifi was very easy and the room was clean. The only downside was the parking. The hotel parking lot can get full very quickly, but they do give you a few other options. Your first option is a lot just west of the hotel on the corner of Tchoupitoulas Street. and St. Joseph […] Street. That's $20 and you can park there over night without having to put more money in the cash box. The second is a lot east of the hotel on South Peters Street. $20 for the day, $40 for overnight. And the third is St. Joseph Street and Fulton St. $20 for the day, $40 overnight. I would stay there again the next time I go back to New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The price is great for NOLA, but nothing about this hotel says 3-star. The room needs some renovation and redesign because it is cramped, especially for a suite. The water line feeding the toilet has a leak. The breakfast lobby was a cluster and service was almost non-existent. "Fix your rooms"
The room was in need of some repairs. The window faced a noisy bar and there were chips in the pane. Possibly from bar patrons harassing hotel guests (despite it being the third floor). Our room could be described as adequate if not for the rather high price. The hotel is probably best described as a 2 star even if everything worked properly. It didn't.
