"Definitely worth it for $100 a night"
The hotel had a clean modern look. The receptionists were very knowledgeable of the area. The hotel location was within walking distance of many of the main sites. The room was clean and the beds were extremly comfortable. The room also had a couch with a fold out bed which was helpfull since we were a party of 5. The only negative was there was a club […] across from our room and when the crowd left at 3-4 in the morning they were very loud. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good location, good hotel"
close to everything; decent price. room was a little small and awkward setup- but clean, new and modern. really comfortable bed. able to park your own car and come and go- no valet required- but close enough to walk or take trolley to everything. not the best view- looked either abandoned or under construction across the street- but much of downtown […] NO is that way. good overall- I'd recommend. The hotel and my room were clean and very pleasant and the complimentary breakfast was very good each morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had no problem with outside noise even though I was not in a courtyard room. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Girl's Trip To Nola"
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Away from some of the craziness of Bourbon St, yet close enough to attractions. Close to shopping at Riverwalk Outlet, great restaurants in the Warehouse District, an ez stroll to the Quarter, and the music on Frenchmen St. The staff was professional, courteous, the rooms were comfortable, and clean. Nice […] breakfast buffet. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room was an added plus. Will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"New hotel at a great price."
We enjoyed our stay and even with the $25 parking charge we felt that the hotel was a bargain. The breakfast buffet contained a good variety of items and everything was delicious. We were close to the Julia St. stop for the Riverfront streetcar which we rode several times to the French Quarter. For $3 you can ride the various streetcar lines all day. "My experience at Marriott SpringHill Suites"
Let me first start by giving kudos to Maurice. He was excellent, efficient, accommodating and very professional. If this man didn't have a raise recently, he definitely should receive one or a promotion. The other staff members were ok. One such staff member, Kierra, I believe her name is, was very unprofessional and mentioned something about she wasn't […] going outside to assist a guest. I was very appalled. It's nothing against the hotel, because, it was fully equipped with all the essentials and the breakfast was surprisingly good but staff members need to be better trained. If they were all replaced with more staff members like Maurice, you would definitely have 5 stars from me as well as other guests. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great staff and rooms were very clean would stay again. Breakfast was a good selection. Hotel was a bit of a hike to attractions would be nice if they could get on bus route our weather wasn't the most favorable for lots of walking especially with a toddler:).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"safe and quiet close to Riverwalk"
Loved it. Super suite room with great amenities.Very clean ! Delicious hot breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed our stay.... Hotel was very clean. It is in a quiet area but close to downtown attractions. Not a lot of parking for the size of the hotel, however there is a parking lot nearby you can use. Staff was friendly and if we asked for anything it was delivered quickly. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Extremely convenient for walking to the French Quarter. I would suggest using Fulton Garage for parking (which is 1 block away), rather than paying to park at the hotel - MUCH cheaper!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown Thank you for choosing Springhill Suites during your visit to New Orleans . We really enjoyed serving you. We also reccomend the Fulton Street garage when our lot is full. We look foward to the next oportunity to serve you.

"Great looking room, no sleep at night!"
The room was very clean and cozy, but once the night club beside/below the hotel started their music, sleeping was out of the question! You could hear the bass and the windows vibrating from 11pm-3am. The bedding is nice and clean, but a bit heavy if you're warm when you sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would recommend this place to everyone. Great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We will stay here again if we come through. The breakfast was extremely impressive, staff was friendly and helpful. There were a few issues with the elevators and key cards not working but those problems were fixed and I do not feel the hotel should be faulted for those issues. Things breakdown everyday, they were fixed and there were no more issues. The […] hotel is very close to the new outlet mall, which was great! "Excellent Place to Stay"
Wonderful hotel to stay at when visiting New Orleans. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was outstanding. French Quarter was only a 15 minute walk so we didn't even a rental car. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
i loved New Orleans and what made it even better was how I slept at night. The room was clean and the beds and sofa beds were so comfortable. Most places we wanted to go to were in walking distance. The only thing I disliked was how small the pool was. Other than that it was an awesome four nights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
cleanliness of roomsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is clean and the room is spacious. It's hard to find the hotel because there's no big signs to show how to get there and the entrance door is by the side. The beddings are too soft, can't sleep very well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pretty much perfect for a quick New Orleans vacay"
If you're in Nola to party but are on a budget, want to be downtown but not in the Quarter, have kids or will be meeting up with family, this is your place. Great quality for the price. It's in the CBD, in between uptown and downtown, right off Julia St., which during the day is a street full of art galleries. At night the area surrounding the hotel […] is loud, so if you're there for that, more power to you. We were two old friends there with our daughters ages 6 and 11 and we found it amusing, really. The hotel is right near the CAC and some decent restaurants and a PJ'S coffeehouse within walking distance, as is the St. Charles streetcar that you can pick up near Lee Circle. Be prepared to pay for parking, though. We didn't have to pay because we have a handicapped plate, and for anyone with that need, we always found street parking within 2 blocks of the hotel with little effort each time we needed to park. The overnight lot is $30 for 24 hours, though, and hotel valet parking is $25 overnight. The breakfast was pretty standard, but good enough. My daughter and I loved the little pool area. The staff was very, very nice and helpful. My immediate family lives in New Orleans and so I personally almost never need a hotel, but I will be recommending this place to anyone who asks me for a good hotel on a budget. "close to the World War ll Musieum, and gooddinning"
Hotel staff was very helpful. Room was nice and clean and had a kitchenette (Refri & Micro Wave). Harrah's casino was about a 16 minute walk and Burbon street was only 5 minutes more. Free Parking can be problem, there is little to be had. There are parking lots, but they are Not cheap... So has the Hotel. All in all it was a Grand stay...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great experience and friendly staff"
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location to area sites.Genuine Expedia guest review
Drove our personal vehicle, forced to pay $30 per night for valet parking, the car was returned with the front bumper damaged. Staff argued that it was "old" damage and they didn't do it. We know for a fact it wasn't there before because we had valet parking in the previous nights hotel and checked the car over before driving away.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel near convention center"
We we in town for a convention and the hotel was close by. Breakfast area was nice and it was a nice way to start the day. Riverwalk outlet mall and street car station was right next to the convention center. Made getting around easier. We stayed 2 nights to break up a long drive. Hotel close to everything, walked to French Quarter, Harrah, and WWII museum. Actually extended stay after seeing hotel and city. We do the museum, city tour, and ghost tour of French Quarter, would recommend all. Will be back for a longer stay and stay at this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A group of 11 were here for a Bachelorette weekend, the hotel was perfect for our needs, nice pool access free morning breakfast, clean comfy beds. It is a little off the beaten path if you want to be on Bourbon Street every night, but for the price we walked the 8-10 blocks. Friendly hotel staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, noisy nights"
If you are going to party all might you won't care. But the noise is loud from the street. The motel is quite nice. The city bus stops closer than the trolley.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed one night stay. It was nice to stay in this area of N.O. It's away from all the noise and "sights", but a very quick, easy walk over to catch the street car line to the Riverfront or French Quarter. The area is still under a lot of construction, but we were never bothered by it. There are lots of wonderful restaurants within a short walking […] distance and excellent shopping within walking distance at Canal Place. We had 3 kids in tow and found the location and staff very accommodating and pleasurable. The hotel has its own parking garage attached, which was very convenient. We parked there for $25 and walked and rode the street car easily everywhere we needed The pool was great in the evening after our early dinner and the breakfast was wonderful and includes egg, bacon, and the works! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was not luxurious by any means, but it was nice and clean and spacious. The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable, and the toilet in our room was very noisy after flushing. If you can put up with those minor inconveniences for the price, I would definitely give this hotel a try! It was safe, clean, convenient, with very friendly staff, a pool, hot tub, workout room and full complimentary breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Quiet location walking distance to all sights"
Really enjoyed the location of this hotel. Minutes walk to the fabulous WW2 museum and a comfortable 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. The warehouse district where this hotel is located is quiet. "Loved our stay!!"
I brought my granddaughter and her best friend to see the city for their high school graduation trip. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with big smiles from Bianca and Kierra! Kierra noticed us looking at flyers for tours and stepped in to book tours for us. They both recommended sites to see and restaurants to eat at. We were very […] pleased! We had a little issue-not hotel related and Emanuel stepped right in and got the issue completely resolved! Randolph was extremely friendly and made sure we were enjoying our stay. When we left we felt like we left behind 4 friends. I will also add that they have the best complimentary breakfast around! I visit New Orleans often and I was very impressed. I cannot remember the lady's name who served in there but she was a doll and took that area very serious....and if you like to talk basketball she knows all about it. She is a little spitfire....don't get her started about Lebron unless you are a fan.....LOL!! Overall had the most enjoyable time here and will most certainly be my choice again and again when I return. I usually try to stay in different hotels each visit but never again....we found our home away from home! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great except for one thing"
This hotel was extremely convenient to the National World War II Museum, which was the point of my visit. The hotel itself was quite nice. Breakfast was good, the ambiance was good, the room was very nice, but... my room was evidently next to a compressor of some sort. The room faintly vibrated and a drone like a large homeowner-grade compressor's motor […] running was constant throughout my entire stay, making getting to sleep a bit of a problem. I think this was limited to just my room, so I wouldn't judge the hotel on that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Its not in the French quarter but if you are a walker like me then its no big deal. Maybe a 20min walk. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast, to me, was the best free breakfast I have had at a hotel yet. Fridge microwave and sink in the room. Now this did not bother me, but if your room is on the x30's side .. I was is in 336... Friday and Saturday for […] sure you could hear music until the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't overwhelming or bothersome to me but if night noise brothers you, keep this in mind. "one of the best values close to downtown"
Loved it. Havre been travelling to New Orleans and this is as close to a perfect package as I've found. In the warehouse district, so really neat places within walking distance. "Fourth time's a charm"
We didn't have a very good experience here. We arrived late the first night and the room was good (traveling with a family of four). The next day, we tried the TV and it didn't work. The hotel sent maintenance over but the man was from "the hotel down the street" and didn't know how to fix it. We were moved to another room which smelled strongly of […] smoke (it is a non-smoking hotel). We were moved to a third room that seemed fine, but starting at 10pm the bar across the street (appropriately called the "Red I") pounded bass that vibrated the walls/window of the room until late at night. The fourth room was handicap enabled (the only remaining room) but was comfortable and quiet. RECOMMENDATION: ask for an inward (courtyard-facing) room, especially if you're not a party animal. The location was fine and the breakfast buffet was busy but free/good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
