I checked in very late, but the clerk was wide-awake and pleasant, which is not always the case. The room was basic, but clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was pretty basic.

My second stay at this location. Good for the price. Did not have knowledge of the Hotels.com check-in procedures but we got it figured out.
Location.
La Quinta Inn Richmond is situated in Richmond and regional attractions include Talon Winery.
Hotel Features.
Guests are served a complimentary breakfast. In addition to a seasonal outdoor pool and laundry facilities, La Quinta Inn Richmond features coffee in the lobby. "One night stay"
Hotel was just fine normal la Quinta inn property. Felt ok to take my shoes off and walk on carpet. Bath seemed clean. Check -in was quick and easy. Breakfast was usual hot waffles. In fact so many people eating breakfast opened a conference room for the overflow of people. One problem there was a questionable person asking for money outside the hotel. "Accommodating"
We were in Richmond from NC for a funeral. They found us a first floor room before check-in time so we could get to the visitation AND allowed us a late check-out so we could change clothes after the funeral before our drive home.

It was an OK place to stay for a night. A relatively newer hotel that was obviously not kept up on a regular basis, but wasn't overly dirty either. For the price not too bad of a place to stay for 1 night only. Definately would stay there for multiple nights.

The hotel was just ok. The night person was nice enough to give us a room on the first floor because we arrived at 3:30am.

Fairly clean and convenient at best. Needed a pet-friendly place for one night during a road trip, but next time will pay a little more for a nicer hotel. Room did not "feel" clean, but looked pretty clean. Overall, needs a lot of upgrades. Continental breakfast was so-so. Would not stay there again.

The room was adequate, comfortable, breakfast was comparable to other similarly priced motels. I was dissappointed that there was no elevator to second floor in the section that we stayed, can't speak for the other section of the motel.

"Clean Room"
Our stay was very nice. The room was clean and the price for the room was very affordable.
"Pathetic"
Hotel is old and run down with rust around leaky faucets, hairdryers that don't work, closet doors that don't close, etc. The only good thing was the bed was clean and comfortable.
