Was a pleasant surprise. We have a small dog and it was nice to find a place that wasn't anti-dog. The hotel was clean, the staff helpful and friendly although the Chinese restaurant they recomended was the pits.The surrounding country side was very nice (horse country).

Hotel was overbooked so we had to stay in smoking room. I had booked non-smoking originally. Staff were very helpful in reducing odour in room and luckily we had a window to open to air it out. Hotel, although near to 75 was very quiet and parking was available near room. Only real complaint is that we were in another building across the parking lot […] from main hotel, so had a walk in the rain to get breakfast. We selected this hotel as a break from a long day of driving. Nearby hotels were all booked up. The room wasn't gross, but did have big spider webs hanging from the window treatments. My biggest complaint was when a man from the hotel started pounding on our door at 7:30am. He knocked with his hand and then the key card for over a minute until we finally […] went to the door (didn't open it). He insisted on knowing our name because their records didn't show any guest registered in that room. When we checked out later that morning, the desk clerk didn't apologize, and took zero ownership. First she said it was the maint guy who wasn't there now, then she said it must have been the fault of the night clerk who checked us in, and then she said we'll need to talk to the owner who might be in over the next couple days. We checked in at 11PM and out by 9A. It was a clean comfortable room next to the interstate and we were just "crashing" for the night. Although the cookies on the table in the glass cake (whatever you call it) was a NICE touch.

Front desk personel were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it for an overnight stay. Would not recommend it for an extended stay. Room was acceptable. Bathroom is very cramped.

Well we were expecting just a plain old room for the 50 per night, but was pleasantly surprised . The room was large and very clean. They have a non smoking building ( pet friendly ) and a separate building that is smoking. The outside pool was nice it was between the buildings. Only draw back was no elevator but it was only 2 stories.

Exterior/first impression not to impressive. This hotel is looking pretty tired and needs some major updates. Lots of workers trucks in the lot and it is just that kind of place. You get what you pay for and for the money this was what we were expecting. Location is a few miles to downtown and the major eating areas.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hallway was ridiculously overrun with cigarette smoke on a floor that all the rooms were labeled as "No Smoking". We found the beds to be extremely comfortable instead of the cheap standard beds you find in other hotels. We had a great nights sleep and were rested for the next day. The continental breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of foods. We will definitely seek out LaQuinta Inn for future travel plans.

I had been told that LaQuinta had upgraded their properties and was looking forward to the experience. This motel was not very different from our last experiences with that chain. Floors (carpeting) was iffy at best and in places worn. Bathrooms seemed to have new fixtures, but overall was shabby and needed repainting. The TV was the large older style […] with a so/so picture. Hotel was just fine normal la Quinta inn property. Felt ok to take my shoes off and walk on carpet. Bath seemed clean. Check -in was quick and easy. Breakfast was usual hot waffles. In fact so many people eating breakfast opened a conference room for the overflow of people. We were in Richmond from NC for a funeral. They found us a first floor room before check-in time so we could get to the visitation AND allowed us a late check-out so we could change clothes after the funeral before our drive home.

It was an OK place to stay for a night. A relatively newer hotel that was obviously not kept up on a regular basis, but wasn't overly dirty either. For the price not too bad of a place to stay for 1 night only. Definately would stay there for multiple nights.

Fairly clean and convenient at best. Needed a pet-friendly place for one night during a road trip, but next time will pay a little more for a nicer hotel. Room did not "feel" clean, but looked pretty clean. Overall, needs a lot of upgrades. Continental breakfast was so-so. Would not stay there again.

The room was adequate, comfortable, breakfast was comparable to other similarly priced motels. I was dissappointed that there was no elevator to second floor in the section that we stayed, can't speak for the other section of the motel.

Hotel is old and run down with rust around leaky faucets, hairdryers that don't work, closet doors that don't close, etc. The only good thing was the bed was clean and comfortable.
