"Very good infrastructure but poor restaurant"
01/02/15 Jmarinho Brasilia, DF
The hotel is big, with really nice rooms and halls, also a good pool and fitness center. However, my experience in the restaurant was not pleasant. Breakfast was debile and dinner took ages to get ready and they served the plates separetely, so my family ate all apart and couldn't eat the meal all together.
"Very helpful staff..."

What a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff who immediately makes you feel welcome. Would heartily recommend this hotel with its free (fast) wifi, coffee in the lobby, large and well-laid out rooms. Furthermore, although seemingly a insignificant matter, I was impressed with the willingness and the helpfulness of the staff in attending to my request (at 10 pm) to change rooms without hesitation. (I had been assigned to a room (305) overlooking the compressor unit for the aircon, which meant that opening the window for fresh air was a noisy affair). Thanks Comfort Suites Oscar Freire. "Clean but old"

Nice location in he middle of Oscar Freire, very nice, bucolic and fun neighborhood. The hotel is OK but it is very old, wall paper displaced, bathroom and amenities very poor. It needs a make over. Breakfast also poor. Also I got upset because they gave me a room with 2 single beds first night I was alone second when my husband arrived they charged me extra because of him!!

I was in Sao Paulo for a conference and I just used the hotel recommended by the organizers. I was pleasently surprised by this hotel with its professional serive, spotless and spacious rooms, fast internet and a gym with a view. It amoste felt like a 4 or 5 star, despite the very reasonable price. If you are on business in Sao Paulo, this is a great place to stay. Though for couples, you might look for something with more flair. And their coffee could be better.

This hotel is ok. It's located on the uglier part of Oscar Freire street, but at least there are shops and restaurants around. It is clean and the rooms are attractive, although the bathroom is kind of small. I do find it annoying that the water from the faucet is not apt for drinking, and yet he hotel does not even provide a complimentary bottle of water per day. I had to go out and buy my own. Complimentary coffee downstairs, though. Go figure. There is no business center to be able to print boarding passes, but the staff at reception were kind enough to help me print that and scan a few documents. They also recommended a clinic close by when I was feeling sick. The breakfast buffet is ok, nothing spectacular, but it's the same exact food every day, including runny scrambled eggs. It's ok, and it was recommended by my client, but personally, did not impress me much.
The room was ok, but the shower was not very hot, the dinner I asked took more than one hour to be delivered in the room and at the checkout, they charged me twice for the dinner. And they wouldn't correct the error immediately. The guy had to call two other people to verify if I was telling the truth about 2 exact same orders for dinner.
"Good business hotel in safe area"

This was the third hotel I stayed at in Sao Paulo and by far the best. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, mini bar is available , spacious bathroom and good internet access. Neighbourhood is safe and near all the upmarket boutiques. The staff is lovely and if I ever go back to SP I hope to stay at this hotel again!
Our room had the rubbish of the previous occupants on the floor but other than that it was clean. The walls were very thin so you could hear all activities going on outside the room. The breakfast was not as good as other hotel breakfasts that we had had in Brazil. The grand impression given by the foyer was not reflected in the rooms. There was okay free WiFi which required no log in details. This hotel would be okay for a short business trip, but it lacks any personality.
"Suitable Location and Attentive Service"

On my last three trips I stayed at Caesar Business Hotel on Paulista (now a Melia I believe). This hotel is closer to our meeting location. It is located in the middle of a "middle-class" neighbourhood (as described by my colleague). The check in was effortless and the room is a good size and bright. I was disappointed by the equipment in the fitness room -- hard to believe but the treadmills needed instructions to start them and the instructions were wrong. It took another guest and I 15 minutes to figure it out. They have a good weight machine, some free weights, a couple of bikes and a stepping machine. No towels or water in the Fitness Centre though. Breakfast and lunch buffets offered a good selection with a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit.
"Solid business hotel"

I stayed three nights at this mid range business hotel. It's not fancy but reliable and pleasant and provided a good base within a short distance of shops and some of the great things to see in the city.
