"Nice hotel; rooms a bit small"
Nice service and clean rooms but rooms are small and remote control wasn't working.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
With the bad cold temperature, it was delightfull to have a very comfortable and warm room. When you get out of the hotel, you are right in the middle of everything and inside it is the total confort.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comme ci, comme ca"
The hotel was very nice and is in a beautiful area. However, housekeeping didn't come in the three days we stayed there, which was disappointing. There is a Starbucks across the street, which was good - coffee was supplied in the room for the first day but you have to pay for it after that. Canned drinks in the vending machine are $2 each, the most […] we've seen at any hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"PERFECT DOWNTOWN LOCATION"
A modern feeling of the past.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is conveniently close to the places where I had meetings: the ministries, parliament and the convention centre. My room was ready before the official check in time and I was offered a complimentary breakfast for the next day. Internet was working perfectly, bed very comfortable and I will book this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Love the quaintness of the room. didn't feel like we were staying at a hotel but rather that we had our own little apartment. Love the high ceilings.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location but..."
Had a nice clean room that was overlooking rue Grande Allee. Room was warm, no fan to turn on so tried to open windows but the window latch to open window was missing(???) Went to take a cool bath but lever to turn shower mechanism to bath/running water mechanism was also missing. Very noisy when bars let out at 2 am. Staff was friendly and room was […] clean but they need to get someone to maintain the room better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Nice place to stay for a short time. Slighly overpriced. However, staff is very friendly and the location is convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was in a perfect location for Old Quebec"
Would not recommend to anyone that can't do stairs. Steep and no elevators.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value nice location"
Good over all , nice staff, room was a bit small, not the hotels fault however. I choose it by mistake. I would certainly spend the extra 20\30 dollars for the deluxe room. nice location , close to everything. No complaints ,would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In the Cafe District of Quebec City"
This hotel in located in the mist of the cafe district. Small hotel with the feel of yesteryear. Hotel beds comfortable however pull out sofa was not. Staff wonderful and breakfast was included hot buffet. Well worth the stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Enjoyable Over Night Stay at Le Grande-Allee Hotel"
We enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel and the staff were most eager and helpful with our luggage/parking our car and with making recommendations for enjoying Vieux Quebec while we stayed at the hotel. We will stay at the same hotel the next time we go to Quebec City!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good stay at the Grand Allee"
Friendly service; quaint hotel; great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, good location good service"
Good hotel just outside the Old City. Suited our needs. No lift. Breakfast just adequateGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Thanks Grande Allee!"
Lovely people and charming and spacious rooms. We stayed for 3 nights in two different rooms both of which were large and unique. Large stain glass windows and fireplace added to the feel of vieux Quebec. A very enjoyable breakfast with many choices as well. Thanks to the great staff!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A bit of a miss...."
With lots of bars and restaurants, this place is definitely right in the middle of things however the inability to be able to control the temperature of your room (no thermostat) and opening the windows is difficult (plus the bar noise outside makes it hard to keep them open and sleep) makes it a bit uncomfortable. The lack of elevator was also a bit […] frustrating. The breakfast in the morning was a bit of a disappointment as nothing seemed fresh and everything fried was overdone. It does have atmosphere that was pleasant and the staff were helpful. It has Valet parking that we had to pay $18 for (never a fan of valet parking). Overall this would be a good hotel for younger people who enjoy partying along the Grand Allee but definitely not for everyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Disappointed in Quebec City"
We had a tv that did not work and the desk clerk came in a couple of times to try and get it to work and then left to consult with her colleague and never returned. It was a very rainy day and our only option was to stay and relax in our room. The room was very small and without a tv we were left to watch a video on our own iPad. During the night it […] got very hot and there was no way to bring the air conditioning back. The next morning I spoke to the desk clerk about both the tv and the air conditioning and was told it would be fixed. We spent the whole day exploring the city and when we came back that night we had a small computer monitor set beside our tv to use and still no air conditioning. We just went to bed as we were leaving in the morning and couldn't be bothered to ask for anything again. We also paid extra for a city view, which was a main floor room next to the reception desk and the main door (very noisy) looking out onto the street and the bar where they too could look in so we spent the 2 days with the blinds pulled!!! Will never stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Our Satisfying Stay at Grand Allee Hotel."
Very friendly and efficient staff. I had forgotten some clothes at a hotel in Montreal and the front desk staff were very helpful in getting me in touch with the hotel in Montreal to have them shipped to my home in Ontario. The man on duty the next day was also very friendly as was the young man who was working in the restaurant downstairs at breakfast […] time. We were very pleased with our experience. Very good location for going into old Quebec with lots of restaurants around to choose from. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great boutique hotel..."
Great boutique hotel in Quebec City - good sized rooms that are clean and well maintained. Walking distance to just about everything. The staff was very helpful throughout. Only possible drawback is the noise at night as it is right in the heart of the entertainment district (not a deal-breaker, I would just recommend packing earplugs).Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything was great and I would stay here again for sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Within walking distance of Old Quebec and all the historic sights. Our room was very comfortable and well looked after. Lots of great restaurants located near the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent location. Great staff. If you drive parking is extra. For breakfast try Cosmos A couple of doors up hill. [try the raisin toast]Would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent weekend in Quebec City!"
Great location for tourists; wonderful character to the hotel. Staff were not friendly at all, even when we spoke both French & English. No smiles provided. We would definitely return despite this failure.Genuine Expedia guest review
"old hotel, but very good location"
old, small rooms, very basic breakfast....great location directly on Grande Allée, however it s noisy by night, you can hear people partying if you take a room on grande allée side!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice cheap place for old Quebec"
Very nice hotel for the price, everything is in the Location....very good !! Room clean, a bit old but very fine. The only funny thing is the guy at the reception who took the 3 or 4 minutes to finish his lunch before even say hi to us when we were checking out... But apart that funny moment, it is a great place for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Hotel was quite nice and comfortable! The room had a nice feel to it and had very nice furnishings. The one down fall is that the noise from the hallways and above floors transmits and that the fireplace is an electric heater. Aside from that the rooms were nice and well worth the price!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's excellent. Very close to old Quebec city. There's some bars and restaurants on same street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Only Average - needs some TLC"
We stayed here for 2 nights and then moved to a fantastic - and cheaper - hotel in Vieux Quebec for the rest of our stay. This hotel is almost like a hostel. Said the windows would open but they were painted shut. There was only a bedside drawer and the skinniest closet. The wood floors are there, soffit lighting but definitely not what we expected […] off of the website. I also felt that they are not happy when you make a booking through an online service instead of them. We were on the 3rd floor, no elevator, no help with bags, in fact no interaction from the second we gave the credit card and then left to move on ... no "how is your room", do you need anything, etc. Smallest bath towels in the world!!! "Charming in Quebec"
This hotel is older but it is charming and very conveniently located. We stayed on the main floor in a large two room suite with 2 queen beds. Perfect for a family or two couples. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Just steps from old Quebec City and Chateau Frontenac, I would highly recommend this very charming hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Place of charme in a great location"
Very special "old" place, friendly personnel, close to everything, clean and nice. Very comfortable beds. Loved it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"old charm, poor noise isolation."
Beautiful old house ( I'm guessing 200 year old) transformed into hotel, but noise isolation is very poor, also heating control is on the baseboard no it on the wall, small TV with 40 channels. Very well located if you are coming in car, no need to get into old part of town but withing walking distance to all atractions . The breakfast buffet is fantastic, […] potatoes, winner, eggs, muffin, bagel, bread, cereal, assorted fruits, yogurt, etc, etc, in my 10last years and travelling 3 or 4 times a year this is the best breakfast ever!. The restaurant next door is not so good for supper though, would advice you to explore something else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great atmosphere and location"
We especially enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was within 10-15 minutes' walk of all the must-see sights in Quebec city. Though it's just outside the old, walled city, it's actually closer to the museum of fine arts, the large Plains of Abraham park and parts of Saint-Jean street, so we thought it was better. The room was small but very clean and […] comfortable. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely re-book this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not again...unless you paid me!"
This was an awful hotel experience for me. Room on first floor rear of building facing the parking lot and two large apartment buildings. Directly outside the door was a public washroom which was used at all hours of the day and night. No soundproofing to speak of. The room (Room 1000) was dark with one window facing said lot and building. There was […] one blackout curtain; no Venetian blind or shear curtain for light during the day unless you wanted to be the topic of apartment dwellers looking in. There was no closet. An armoire in the room would be nice. There was space. When I arrived the toilet didn't work. Together with the front desk person we figured out a way to repair it. Felt like they should have paid me to stay there. Nothing like the photos I saw online. Those looked like nice rooms. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Highly professional & friendly staff. Well located"
The hotel was wonderfully placed for the convention center (6 mins walk) and for the old town (8 minutes walk) with the historic gardens right on the (back) doorstep! The reception staff were absolutely marvellous, they stayed up late to meet and greet me at midnight and were able to advise and assist with all questions and requirements (including ordering […] a taxi).. The room was pleasant and newly decorated with working air-conditioning and heat!. My only concern was the non-EU health and safety issues with having electrical appliances (hairdryer) directly above a sink and light switches inside bathrooms rather than outside or with a pull fitting! Felt I was dicing with death every time I went into the bathroom! Being a woman it would also have been good to have a shelf in the bathroom to put "stuff" on! Small details in an otherwise wonderful hotel.. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Bedrooms were really nicely furnished and clean and amazingly comfortable bed. Good location - 10 minute walk from old town but many cafes/bars nearby. Only downside was that reception staff were very slow. Would definitely stay there again though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old world elegance on the Rue Grant Allee"
An old-fashioned but well-maintained and impeccably-run hotel. Elegant rooms and fixtures. The staff were very professional and eager to assist. Very close to the excellent restaurants and bars of the Rue Grand Allee.Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything was fine except for the air-conditioning. It was simply too cold, in particular in the shower, the cold air is blowing on you. But there is nothing you can do about it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"love that hotel"
Great, like in EuropeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good choice, small rooms though"
Overall good choice. Nice location with many outdoor cafes right outside. Older building but well kept. No elevators so be aware if you have heavy luggage. Very small rooms with minimal space around bed. Would stay there again though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all must see sights"
Staff at desk very friendly, but (could have English speaking hosts at desk). Breakfast: could have real beacon not pre-cooked (tasted like paper eating paper). Choice of eggs if could not eat what was pre-prepared. larger t.v.'s in rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice location - good value"
We liked the location, staff was friendly, breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. Our major reservation- there was no fitness facility either on site or loacally available. Air conditioning could not be controlled in-room and it was a bit noisy to open the windows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
