Our room was very cold until we finally figured out the heating system. Over-all our stay at the Inn was wonderful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great Location, room and food...what more do you need!!Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed this property very much. Location, ambiance, staff ... Perfect. Highly recommend. The dinner menu is varied and the food is excellent. Breakfast buffet is outstanding.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed 2 nights - only had tea/coffee stocked for one night. Also didn't restock toiletries for 2nd night. On a positive note everything else was fine, especially the bar staff and servers - very attentive! Overall had a very pleasant stay. Would recommend hotel to friends and family. Location was excellent!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good stopover for a couple of nights."
A pleasant 2 night stay. Lovely room with usual amenities. We dined in the hotel the first night. Food very good and service too. Reasonable bar in the Inn. Breakfast was "continental" although there was hot food on the Saturday morning. Breakfast could be described as "adequate".Genuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings"
Enjoyed our stay - comfortable room although a bit on the small side but decoration and furniture lovely. Excellent breakfast and very friendly helpful staff. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay at the Kennebunkport Inn, from the drinks on the terrace to the meal in The restaurant to our well appointed room.Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In the heart of it"
Not that Kennebunkport is a sprawling metropolis but being in easy walking distance to the sights was appreciated. Having free and abundant parking was doubly appreciated. The hotel, its staff and its cocktails all met my high expectations. That they were able to diplomatically inform me that uber-fresh lobster might be found off-property was a surprising […] piece of honesty that won them a giant amount of my respect. I would return, absolutely. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A place to take it easy"
Just as it was described in the brochure. Lovely hotel, a great place to unwind. Loved the patio deck for evening cocktails. Dinner on the deck was delicious, but didn't try the restaurant. Breakfast was a little disappointing but rooms were great and beach permits, towels and chairs all provided. We even took up the opportunity to use the bikes to […] explore the area. "A little unusual"
The hotel was lovely except we were in the riverside part which was rather dated and the shower didn't adjust on a very hot day! Also the hanging space was unusually in the bathroom which was ok for a night, but I wouldn't want to hang clothes there full time. This is why I didn't give it a 5. The deck was bliss and the other amenities first class.Genuine Expedia guest review
Worst stay of my 3.5 trip around North America. Specifically booked the Riverside for promixity to the main hotel facilities given we have a newborn but got put into Dockside and my complaints on check-in were dismissed. Dockside is the noisiest building I have ever slept in and attracted the younger guest so was extra noisy with ever footstep/word […] from the stairs, corridor and rooms above highly audible. Restaurant below average too - mouldy lemon served with oysters and burgers burnt and well-done when medium requested. Insufficient parking spaces and non-guest usage of spaces does not seem to be policed. Not asked how my stay was during check-out so my feedback does not seem to be valued. Very poor hotel. We had a very nice stay at this well maintained tiny Inn. One of the nicest we have ever seen. Perfectly located as well. Great breakfast. Diner restaurant with live music. We`ll come again...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Well located "
08/28/14 TheTravelerDC Washington, DC
Located right downtown Kennebunkport within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Well maintained, with a nice restaurant and bar area. Our room was very small and the AC unit was half hidden in the closet. It's a window unit that also tends to be loud. I might stay here again but would look for a larger room.
"Perfect anniversary weekend escape!"
08/26/14 Caitlin J Baltimore, Maryland
My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Kennebunkport Inn for our first anniversary weekend and it could not have been better! We had a King Riverhouse room that was just beautiful. Clean, comfortable, plenty of space. From the moment we arrived until we regretfully left, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the deck and porch and took advantage of the happy hour and fireplace. The complimentary beach towels and beach passes were also appreciated. Breakfast was convenient - a few more options would have been nice, but it was satisfying and enjoyable - especially when you got to sip your coffee/tea on the deck in the morning sun. The location right downtown was perfect for us as well. I would absolutely recommend staying here during your trip to Kennebunkport and we look forward to returning sometime in the future!

My husband and I enjoyed the Inn with a newly renovated room (cute decor), great food at the restaurant and convenience being right in town. Used bikes (cruisers) from the Inn for a nice ride around town. Go to The Clam Shack for the best lobster rolls!
"Nice place, overpriced"
08/24/14 Mark G Northborough, Massachusetts
My Wife & I spent 4 nights here, it is a well maintained "New England Inn". The only complaint is the room size. There was a king size bed and barely enough room to walk around it. Very little storage space so with the luggage, it was extremely cramped. The bathroom was also tiny, there was a toilet, pedestal sink and a tiny 32"x 32" shower stall. We had a nice time, but I would definitely look for another hotel with larger rooms. I understand the overpriced room rates given the short season, however I just assume pay a few dollars more and get a more comfortable room. It was Ritz Carlton rates without the "posh" Ritz Carlton luxury... Just sayin.
We loved our stay at the Inn. We stayed in the Riverhouse and enjoyed the cleanliness of the room. The king size bed with all it's pillows, was so comfortable and with plenty of amenities. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the afternoon on the back deck. The staff are very accommodating. The only small glitch, was an error in which our room was mistakenly charged twice, but the the front desk promptly fixed the error upon reviewing the charges. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and we loved how the inn was in the heart of the town, and in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the beach. I would recommend staying here.
"Just barely scraping by..."

I've now stayed here three times and shame on me. First, the staff are lovely and the restaurant is well worth it. But the investment these owners are making stops there...and why should they invest a dime when they can sell out every summer night. Fix the mold/mildew problem? Nah and yes, they have serious one. In my room it was visible on the windows...and no one sees this?? Then you have the fact that some rooms are fairly nice and others are dreadful. But who wants to gamble at these prices? They're not charming or quaint. Just dated and dreadful. There are so many great places in this area. Book in advance and steer clear of this money pit.
"Wonderful!! That's it, just wonderful!"

Folks have talked of some room's being small. they are not big but they are fine for sleeping. Modern, super clean, everything you need. Bathroom also modern clean hot full pressure shower, great way to start the day. If you want more space you can go inside or out to all of the beautiful common area's. We had such a WONDERFUL time, we really did. The staff absolutely FANTASTIC. We did the Table for Two the view was extraordinary the food delicious, the waitress was sincere, helpful. funny, sweet just a great young lady that added to our all around experience. The place was beautiful, smack dab in the middle of everything. We sat out front and people watched, walked down town, sat on the back deck. Breakfast in the am hot and cold and very good. The folks in the morning were attentive, everyone housekeeping etc just so very nice. Will be going back! Oh it was our Anniversary and when we opened the door and saw a card from the Staff and a bottle of Champagne with two glasses, we knew it was going to be great but it was even better than we thought!
"New England Elegance"
08/19/14 andromedababe County Durham, United Kingdom
Lovely surprise to find a bottle of Prosecco on ice in the room with a handwritten welcome note from the staff. This is a beautiful hotel decorated in classic New England coastal colours. It's centrally located in the very busy resort but there was minimal road noise. It advertises a Continental breakfast, but actually that included a full cooked breakfast selection too. The breakfasts were lovely, with a good variety of pastries, fruit and hot foods. For dinner they specialise in "small plates" -four plus a salad would probably be enough for two people. I'm shellfish-anaphylactic so eating in Kennebunkport isn't easy. Both nights I ate here the servers guided me through safe choices. Room was lovely, wi-fi was free, staff were great. They will give you free beach passes, towels and beach chairs at the front desk. I would stay here again.
"I'd like to move in"
08/19/14 Denny D Hillsboro, Oregon
Because I was so impressed with the Kennebunkport Inn during our two-night stay there in July, I'm doing something I never do -- writing a review. One thing that seemed exceptional to me was the combination of very efficient management of the inn with an very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere inside the inn. That can't be easy to do. The second thing that impressed me was my newly remodeled room -- the re-modeler was a genius given the combination of simple elegance and livability that was achieved. One thing I liked was that each side of our bed had its own combination wardrobe, shelves, drawers, and counter cabinet, and each side also had its own individually controlled lamp that could be adjusted to an overhead position for nighttime reading.Everything about the room was impressive in both appearance and functionality, including the bathroom. But my favorite part of my stay was the free full hot and cold breakfast buffet served every morning until 10:30 am. I don't usually get moving too early in the morning on vacation, and tend to miss the breakfast offerings at other motels, which can be a disappointment because a good breakfast can be my favorite meal. And both mornings as I was sitting out on the veranda at 10:30 finishing up my breakfast, someone from the staff came out to me to let me know in case I wanted to get some more food before they took down the breakfast service. I almost kissed her hand.
"Great place, charming, elegant, nautical, service is excellent!"
08/19/14 MelKiwi_10 New Jersey
We booked the Peddle and Paddle package which included 2 night's accommodations, breakfast each morning, bike rentals, kayak rentals, a four course dinner at One Dock and a picnic lunch. Everything was excellent! There are so may little unexpected extras that were complimentary, such as: beach parking passes, beach chairs and towels. It made our stay so much more enjoyable not to have to sweat the small stuff. The breakfast was great! Pancakes and French Toast - YUM. (I am a carboholic!) The rooms/inn and furnishings were modern, yet had a nautical and charming feel. This is such a great location because everything - shopping, beach, restaurants - all are within walking or biking distance. No need to find a parking place. Thanks Kennebunkport Inn for a wonderful anniversary weekend!
