We had reserved a double room for one night to catch a plane in the morning. The whole atmosphere at the hotel was inviting. The room was clean, the breakfast was excellent. The only mishap had been that we were given a room in the smoking section of the hotel even though we had made reservations for nonsmoking. The shuttle service to the airport worked […] very well. The hotel listing on hotel.com does not disclose that the hotel charges 5 Euros for using the hotel van. So, add 10 Euros to the price of the reservation for two people. The hotel is not located at the airport so requires a small drive to the next town (ergo the requirement to take a taxi, for more then the 5 Euro cost of using the hotel van). The […] hotel is situated in a residential neighborhood so my wife and I felt safe in walking before dinner. We eat dinner in the restaurant that is next door to the hotel. The food is billed a Mediterranean but the chef adds in his own cultural twist that we very much enjoyed. The restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful.i would be pleased to eat there again. I was very thankful for this hotel after a long day. They were able to give me a wake-up call, they arranged my ride to the airport, and had a nice/simple breakfast available. The food at the restaurant was very good - I had a nice pasta dish when I arrived in the evening. Everything was clean in my room when I arrived, which is always nice.

The hotel is old and bathrooms are not clean. Phone did not work and no effort was made to fix it. There was nothing in the area - far from downtown, shops and restaurants. You can only see a few factories near by. This is in a rural (mostly underdeveloped) area of Frankfurt. The only good service was to and from ride from the airport.

I stayed at this hotel for an overnight connecting flight. The FRA Airport pick up and drop off was great , and was the primary reason for selecting this hotel (4 Euros round trip was charged at Check out). It was about 20 minutes ride each way. Hotel was good for the price. Nice clean basic room... was a little bigger than typical small European rooms […] I expected. A surprisingly good value and relatively convenient to the FRA airport. The hotel shuttle was 4 Euro/person round trip from and to the airport, which is reasonable compared to many German hotel shuttles. The breakfast, too, was better than average and included in the room price. Downsides: Understaffed, we had to wait over an hour for a second pillow […] because the only employee present was the front desk clerk who could not leave her desk. WIFI was so weak as to be nearly useless. Smell of tobacco smoke pervasive and oppressive in the halls, even in the "smoke free" wing, but our "smoke free" room itself was fine. Despite the downsides, we will definitely use the Albatross again as the price was very reasonable and the staff very friendly. We use Frankfurt International Airport at least once or twice a year and most of the hotels want an arm, a leg, plus your first born for the privilege of staying with them. The Albatross appears to be owned by one family and they are eager to please and keep it well maintained and cleaned. Read more

My single room did not have an alarm clock in the room (really?) so I asked receptionist for wake up call. Nothing happened, no wake up call and I woke up later than expected and rushed out in order not to miss my plane. I could have missed my flight altogether! The hotel was not as close to the air port as it was mentioned on the web site. Certaily more than 2,6 miles of distance. The town were the hotel was located was very small with limited resources. We arrived late and called the hotel for a pick-up. They arrived promptly and we had no trouble checking in. The room was small (as they all are in Germany) which was not really a problem. Front desk was accomodating to move us to a non-smoking room. Breakfast was included, but below average. We didn't use it, but they have a shuttle to the airport for 4 euros per person. This is a very clean hotel about 20 minutes away from FRA. There is only one twin size (may be smaller) bed and a 14' TV that does not provide any program in English. Although we really liked this hotel, it was not really near the airport, about a 15 - 20 minute ride away. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the shuttle and as we were leaving the next morning they charged us 10 E for the service :(. Especially helpful front desk clerk. Spoke French, German, English and perhaps more. The rooms were clean, the breakfast excellent. Very convenient to the airport. Only suggestion that I'd make to them is to add a printer to the internet area so that boarding passes can be printed easily.

Everything was fine. The staff was very helpful. We had to leave before breakfast officially began, so they fixed us up with a light breakfast (bread, meat, cheese & coffee. The shuttle worked out fine for us. Overall, a nice overnight stay.

This hotel was extremely clean. We felt welcomed at check-in. The restaurant had a nice variety of food for dinner, service was good and the food delicious! The one drawback was figuring out the airport pick-up which was inexpensive - cheap for 2 people, roundtrip. Make sure you have a hotel contact number before leaving on your trip.

We wanted to stay by the airport and go back to rent a car the next day. The Albatros has a shuttle service (fee) so this was perfect for us. The breakfast was quite generous and the Internet was convenient, though WiFi didn't work as well in the rooms as in the biz ctr, where there are also 2 desktop computers. I found the lack of web access annoying and some of the front staff were less than helpful when I inquired about why the computer wasn't connecting. Spoke to them about a light being burnt out in the hallway outside my door. The service man came into my room without invitation or knocking even, thinking I meant the light inside. The facility and the […] breakfasts were great and the hotel itself is in a great area--quiet with a small Thai restaurant just down the block. The staff at the hotel never mentioned it, instead they sent people to the beer hall down the road or the restaurant right next door which didn't even open until evening. The shuttle back and forth to the airport is very convenient although they do charge Five Euros for the round trip. Getting in and out of Frankfurt on the train was a bit of a walk but easy to find. It did the job for a layover night and the price was decent. We did not know about the shuttle and ended up taking a taxi to the hotel which cost us about 30 Euros bumping our cost over 100 Euros meaning that we could have booked a hotel closer to the airport and saved ourselves the drive. Very far from Frankfurt city. Cost us Euro28 per way to get to Frankfurt. Bed & pillow not comfortable at all. Can't sleep all night because of the uncomfortable bed & pillow. Room is quite warm, no air cond or fan. No coffee tea making facilities. However, friendly staff at reception. Fast check in.

I guess German hotels don't have air conditioning be/c the Comfort inn didn't either which was down the street. They did put in a fan for me that had a higher speed. This helped alot. I slept well. Really clean and beautiful bathroom. I highly recommend it.
