A basic room with kitchenette - relatively big, but in need of improvements like clean carpeting and a clean bathroom - we did not bother taking showers since we were going to be in our weekly rental that morning. There were many significant stains on the bedding (especially fitted sheet) which was my biggest issue. Staff was friendly, but during check-in, AC in lobby and hallways was out. AC out in hallways the entire stay (2 nights) and internet was also out lst night (confirmed by staff), but was on the following night. Rooms were seriously dated except for […] curtains (appeared to be new), but were too small and failed to cover the windows. Room AC very loud, but it did work and it did help to block out the noise from the room above - not completely. We were disappointed in this hotel. We had a reservation for 2 adults and our 2-17 year old children. There were only 3 towels in the room and when I wend down to the desk to ask for more, we were told there wasn't any. We were told they were very full and people often take the towels so they didn't have any. After more conversation, the desk attendant […] was able to find 2 in the office. She said to get any more, we'd have to turn the dirty ones in the next day to get new ones. Unacceptable. We also were disappointed when we went to use the clothes dryers in the laundry area. Great rate and good location. Front desk was helpful. But first placed in a room where the sink was clogged. Then moved to another room, which didn't meet my standards for cleanliness (carpet wasn't vacumned, totilet not well-cleaned, spots on the doors). I was not aware until after I had checked in that the rooms weren't cleaned daily.

This hotel was bad. There were water bugs everywhere--the sink, the shower, the floor, the wall--in our original room that was assigned to us. We then had to choose whether to stay in that room or move to a smoking room. And when we moved to the smoking room, there were still bugs. Ok for the relative prices of hotels in the area, but simple and nothing fancy. It was odd that the office closed from 11 PM to 7 AM. Coffee maker in our room was not working, only two of everything in the kitchen although we had 4 people.

We didn't realize there would be no housekeeping the entire time we were there (5 days). My son wet his bed and I had to strip the bed completely, take all the bed clothes downstairs to housekeeping and ask for clean bed clothes. Not only did I have to go back up and make the bed, but they gave us unmatching comforters. There were also only two towels […] for four people and we had to ask for that as well. We had stayed at this hotel last year during the same time period, and I felt like the hotel had definitely gone down hill a little. The front desk staff were simply not friendly or helpful this trip. Seemed to be irritated that you asked for towels, etc. And the noise level was definitely increased from the previous year. The hallways and two different rooms I was offered were not clean. The sheets were dingy and stained and the refridgerator had rust inside and out and one had food left it it. The Hotel is in a great location for the shopping. Suburban Extended Stay of Hilton Head is in the middle of both Tangr Outlets. Nice size room and service was great!!!!!! Most of the time when I pay low prices for a hotel I expect lowsy service and an uncomfortable stay. I don't count on roaches and the office closing for the night. When I say the office closed, I mean they didn't even have a security window to go to for check-in. Good thing I called ahead to let them know I was going to be late. We arrived to our hotel in Bluffton, SC late on a Friday night after driving 14 hours with our two small children. We thought this would be a great reward that after pushing the limits on travel, we would be able to get up and drive about 20 minutes down the road to get to the beach and have the whole day ahead of us. When we got to the hotel, check […] in was quick and that is where the positives ended. There were no AC units in the halls they were all torn out and laying in the corner of the stairwell. So it had to be 90 plus degrees of hot thick air. We got to the room which thankfully was cool and all I wanted to do was take a shower and relax. After going into the bathroom to get ready I noticed something moving out of the corner of my eye. When I looked into the shower I noticed a roach crawling across the ledge. After telling my husband and he came in to attempt to kill it he then went into the room to inspect top and bottom and that is when he proceeded to kill two more. After that I was done. While I went to get a refund from the front desk, he packed what little we had pulled out, gathered the kids and headed to the car. Not the most pleasant experience after a long day in the car with two tired kiddos at 9:30 at night. We headed down the road and paid over double. But that was worth it for my peace of mind. I assume the hotel was under repair, our room smelled bad and was filthy. The hallway looked like it has not been cleaned in years. We got moved across the hallway and at the least the looked a little better that the other room. I was not pleased at all with our stay.
