I stayed two nights, and both nights I was awakend several times by loud noises either out in the street or in the hotel. The hotel floors are polished stone, which is great for cleanliness, but they amplify noises like people going up the stairs, people moving the furniture around (at 2 am???), or talking. The rooms are in an apartment-style building. […] There was a tiny kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel is very close to the main train station. Main issue, we did not realize that we booked the Apartments instead of the actual hotel, which is about a 5 minute walk from the main hotel and does not have elevator from lobby, you have to go up to the first floor to talk the elevator which becomes an issue when you are checking in at midnight. Clean and the staff are freindly. It's only a few blocks to the Canal shopping district and a few more to the old city. Just a few things to make sure of , not all rooms have air conditioning and the showers look nice but don't have a curtain to keep the water in so it gets slippery as I think more water ends up on the floor than the shower.

I always stay at Burn's Art Hotel whenever I'm in Dusseldorf, it's conveniently located between Konigs Alle and the train station. They have 2 buildings, the main hotel and an apartment block which is about 200m from the main hotel building. Lately, I've mainly been placed in the apartment building. At first I thought they were a bit impersonal, got […] the feeling that I was a student again living in a furnished studio but I've grown to prefer these to the main hotel building, as they are bigger than the rooms in the hotel, and extremely quiet. This hotel has their room sin 3 different buildings. I booked an upgraded room and when I checked in they informed me that i had to go to another building to find my room. This building is in Charlottenstrasse, approx 300 m from the hotel reception. For breakfast you have to go back to the main building. Rooms are nice, all over okay/good quality. But […] with a lot of luggage, it is not nice to walk trough a neighbourhood, were people sit in groups of 4 - 5 on the boradwalk, drinking beer at nine in the morning!?! Also must mention that the main picture give an impression of a big, nice hotel. The main part of this building (ground floor) is a restaurant, the reception to the hotel is in a smal side entrance and breakfast is down to the basement. Read more

Whilst the hotel apartment is in a good location near the main station, this does not make up for the poor customer service. I emailed ahead of my stay asking for two non-smoking rooms and was assured that the entire hotel apartment was non-smoking. When I arrived late Friday night and was given keys to the apartments, I was disappointed to find one […] smelt badly of smoke. This resulted in an hour long back-and-forth discussion of me requesting a new room but being repeatedly told this was not possible unless I paid extra for a suite. Eventually I was given a new room (same size as what I paid for!) but not without battling with the receptionist to not pay extra. Coupled with this bad customer service, the room had poor sound proofing and I could hear a neighboring apartment have late night parties and the cleaners talking in the hallway in the early morning. It's a shame these two things were the case, as the look of the apartment is modern, clean, spacious and reasonably priced. Read more

We stayed at the Burns Art Hotel Apartments at the beginning of December. The purpose of our visit was to see the Christmas Markets. We were with our 80 year old grandmother so the markets were a bit of a walk for her but were only a short taxi ride away (maybe €5-€6). The hotel staff were helpful and provided a map of the city and were always happy […] to book a taxi for us which would be there within a matter of minutes. The apartments were spacious and clean but are around the corner from the hotel reception, maybe a 2-3 minute walk. There is no lift to the first floor but there is a lift from the first floor upwards. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Dusseldorf. Read more

We had one of the apartments in the seperate hotel building, and found this to be excellent value for money. the location is highly convenient (close to Hbf and city centre), however, it is not the nicest neighbourhood. apartment size was excellent, decor was nice, nothing to fault here.

Surprising small but thats not an issue but the "things" that make it four star just dont exist. Good parts are the friendly reception staff and location is not too bad but that was about it. I will start a wee list , towels bad , shower small (and I'm not a lardass) shower soaps etc not replaced daily even although finished, room sparce but I think […] they view that as a design feature , the Safe, you have to request a key, not a big issue I know but it adds to the hasle factor. It has the worlds smallest lift which coupled with being the slowest means I have made contact with the Guiness Book of Records to see if it can make the next issue. Now onto breakfast, surprisingly eveything hot was finished no matter what time you visited, coffee prices are rising I hear and the staff already are taking corrective steps of avoid the loss of money by alway saying the coffee is brewing and will be with you soon...strange ? But dont let me put you off ...its ok but never four star and never worth the vastly inflated rate ( there was a big show on at the time and they were cashing in along with every other hotel in the area) oooh it is clean, a huge plus.... the rest is up to you. Very clean, modern and affordable. A good 15/20 minutes walk to the Old Town. I always got lost returning home! Friendly staff; comfortable bedroom; safe location. Didn't try the breakfast as wanted to experience the local cuisine - mistake on a Sunday as nothing opens until 10:00am!! Great value for money. I will stay again.

We stayed in one of the suites on 23/24 May 2010. It was lovely and modern and within easy walking distance of the old town. The place was clean and had all that was needed. A minor criticism would be the shower which was a little awkward to get into and would not be suitable for someone with limited mobility. Wir hatten eines der Apartements, die in einem extra Gebäude liegen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und man ist zu Fuß schnell am Bahnhof oder an der Kö. Besonders schön ist die Lage damit eben nicht. Beleibteren Menschen oder Reisenden mit ordentlich Gepäck können wir das Apartment gar nicht empfehlen. Es gibt zwar einen Aufzug, der aber eine Treppe weiter […] oben liegt. Der Aufzug selbst ist so eng, dass zwei schlanke Personen gerade so rein passen. Allein mit einem Koffer wird es schon schwierig. In unserem Apartment war der Schlafbereich nur über eine Hühnerleiter zu erreichen, bei der man schon sehr gelenkig sein muss und ständig höllich aufpassen muss, um nicht abzustürzen. Aus dem Bad muss man sich auch eher herausschälen. Ansonsten ist das Apartment aber sehr großzügig und sauber. Es gibt auch eine kleine Kochnische. In einem Parkhaus gleich nebenan kann man für 10 Euro / 24 h parken. Alternative Parkplätze sind knapp.Als wir da waren gab es Bauarbeiten im Haus so dass es recht staubig und im Fahrstuhl schmutzig war. Das Treppenhaus war dadruch auch gesperrt. Die Apartmentanlage hat keine Rezeption und wirkt dadurch ziemlich verlassen. Für zwei schlanke, junge Leute mit Gepäck für eine Nacht aber eine günstige Gelegenheit, zentrumsnah zu übernachten. Wir waren im Burns Appartment-Haus, die Zimmer-Austattung ist sehr gut, lediglich das Bad war sehr klein und der Aufzug fährt erst ab dem ersten Stock. Auch die Marmor-Böden sind im Winter sehr kalt (wir haben die zur Verfügung stehenden Einweg Badeschuhe genutzt ;)

Ho soggiornato negli appartamenti a Charlottenstrasse. Stanze comode, ben pulite e ben organizzate. Il bagno un pò piccolo e l'ascensore parte dal primo piano e non da terra. La metropolitana è dietro l'angolo. Comodissimo.

Hissi oli todella pieni ja hidas ja huone, jossa yövyin oli turvahuone, jonka lukko aiheutti kerran hankaluuksia päästä ulos huoneesta, mutta muutoin kaikki sujui mallikkaasti. Palvelu oli hyvin ystävällistä ja nopeaa. Kokonaisuudessaan hotellista jäi hyvin positiivinen kuva.

Das Burns ist super zentral und auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Sauberes Hotel, saubere Zimmer. Das Zimmer war, wie zuvor per Telefon mit dem Hotel besprochen, mit einem Beistell-Kinderbett ausgestattet. Der bestellte Stellplatz für Auto stand zu Verfügung. Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
