This was a very nice place to stay but lacked any amenities - No Lounge and no restaurant. Would have been much more fun on our huge balcony if it would have been warmer! We'll have to come back in the summer!

I think The Inn at Laguna Beach is a great choice for the area. We stayed in a Village room on the 4th floor, which is the same level as the terrace that overlooks the beach. The hotel appears to be recently renovated, and while our room wasn't spacious, it had a nice layout and it didn't feel cramped. Service was very friendly and efficient from check-in […] to check-out. I can't speak for the hotel amenities because we did not take advantage of them. PROS: location was great as you are close to many restaurants in Laguna, as well as gas stations, Starbucks, and obviously the beach. Quiet, new rooms. CONS: In the Village Room, you can hear some street noise (mostly sound of passing cars) when you are trying to sleep, but it wasn't too bad. I would stay here again if we were to go to Laguna Beach! I recommend nearby Active Culture for breakfast and Nick's At Laguna Beach for dinner. Read more

hotel was nice. Our room was pretty small facing the street side so we felt a little overpriced. The refrigerator made a noise bad enough that it needed to be turned off. Of course the grounds around the area are lovely and inviting and the location is perfect.

The staff was wonderful. We were welcomed to a wine reception upon arrival, cookie reception to follow. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and although it was on the PCH side, we had no troubles with street noise. The location is great if you like the main beach area of Laguna. It is connected to the beach. The hotel was clean and pleasant, not super […] upscale like the Surf and Sand, but a way better location for us because it is a short walk to all of our favorite shops and restaurants. There is a lifeguard station being constructed on main beach, adjacent to the hotel, but we had no issues with noise and the city is doing a great job of making this as low impact event as possible. Although an inn, it felt like a hotel and the location is near restaurants and on beach. Parking is $29 in underground garage. There is happy hour sponsored by the hotel and the staff was gracious. Bed was very comfy and the AC worked well. The walls are thin so the mornings are loud.

We had a very small room facing the road. Akin to an indoor cabin on a cruise ship except with street noise. If that is your room, the hotel has no real benefit for you. For the price I paid, that was not my expectation.

We arrived earlier then check-in - our room was ready and we were able to get settled in our room and start enjoying Laguna Beach... very nice. The hotel is very clean, modern and attractive, and right on the beach. Our room overlooked the pool and the Pacific just beyond it - a postcard image. Complimentary continental breakfast in-room and Starbuck's […] coffee - nice touches. Had some fun and interesting conversations with other hotel guest, poolside. Draw backs: shower - no bathtub (not sure if this is the case with all of the hotel rooms) and, no in-hotel restaurant. Consolation prize: had a great shower everyday; and, the poolside bartender made a really mean Skinny Magarita and the restaurant next door delivered pool-side...yum, and great restaurants in town. We had a wonderful anniversary. We were able to park our car for two days and enjoy the beauty of this special place. Everything was very convenient. The staff bent over backwards to be of assistance. If you go, be sure to eat at Las Brisas next door. The only exception to a perfect experience, was the parking cost of $25 dollars a day, and a "resort […] fee" of $20 a day. The pool was not even in operation. Read more

Stayed in room 106, which had a lovely balcony with a view of the ocean and the beach. Room was small, but very comfortable for two people. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning. Hotel provides beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc.. for the beach at no charge. Hotel is centrally located and no […] need for a car during your stay as you can walk to restaurants, stores and beach. Only complaint was the extra charges, such as the resort fee ($20/night) and parking ($25/night). Would prefer they were included in the hotel charges and not feel nickle and dimed. Beware of hidden charges! We were charged a fee just to park our car overnight. This fee was not listed on the confirmation, nor mentioned until checkout. We were also charged a "Resort" fee, which was also taxed. PROS: Amazing oceanside view if you're willing to pay the extra money, literally sits right on the shore, walking distance to Laguna Beach downtown where there would otherwise be no parking on a weekend... We chose this hotel as a family vacation. We have two younger children and they enjoyed stay thoroughly. The location of the hotel is perfect. The hotel sits atop the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. The rooms are comfortable and housekeeping does a great job during the stay. Breakfast is brought to guest rooms daily. It is convenient and there is a perfect selection to choose from. My only complaints: Check-in is at 4:00. The staff told us that they would try to get us into our room sooner, but we still waiting until 2:30 to check in. (We arrived at 10:30.) We took a few days before a conference to unwind. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is right on PCH and overlooks the ocean. Be mindful that on ocean-facing rooms, there is a path that is used by a lot of people passing by to walk to and from the beach, and they tend to look up, so if you're dressing or shy, you'll want to close your shutters. I came upon the Laguna Inn on the internet. Sight unseen I booked it. The People working the front desk were very pleasant and quite helpful. The room was wonderful, very comfy and inviting. And Laguna Inn has Location, Location, Location! Falling asleep and waking to the sounds of the waves was so peaceful. I took some beautiful pictures of sunsets […] right from my room. The ability to walk right in town every morning was an absolute plus. As well as the picturesque walk along the ocean that is right behind the Inn. So gorgeous. My business partner's wife suggested he stay at Laguna Beach (he is from Toronto). I found the Inn at Laguna Beach from a maping program. The stay was perfect. However, and I hope the management is reading. The Asian gentleman that checked us out on Friday, January 13, 2012 needs to be replaced. His English is terrible, his ability to understand information […] was even worse. My partner purchased three of the gummy bear containers for his kids, the clerk said the computer only showed two, and eventually charged for only one. I had two drinks out of the in-room-bar. The clerk was confused because only one showed up on the computer and I was admitting to drinking two. At one point I had to be firm and tell the clerk we had a flight to catch. In Laguna you do not want to have to use your car and park. This hotel is in a great spot - you can walk to most anything: main beach, restaurants, art galleries, etc. Plus, it is right on the beach. Nice staff, underground parking, breakfast included. Super place to stay in Laguna!
