Spent a Saturday night there on a last minute trip to Paris. The hotel was about a ten minute walk from Nord station. The staff spoke English clearly, and check-in went smoothly. The hallways were almost pitch black at night, my wife said that she would not have felt comfortable by herself. The room was a good size, especially for European standards. […] The bed was extremely comfortable. So much so that we almost missed our train back to London! The neighborhood was not the best, but only really felt that was late at night. Spent some time during the day at a nearby cafe and was fine, but when we took a cab home late that night, we were glad we didn't decide to walk home. Overall, we recommend the hotel. We stayed at La Tour for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was spacious by European standards, quiet, very clean, had a beautiful bathroom and shower and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had easy access to the Metro and numerous nice restaurants. For the price, we couldn't ask for more.

From other reviews, I expected a small room and it was by American standards. However, it was very clean and well maintained. My daughter and I were both in Paris for the first time and there were too many things we wanted to do to spend time in a hotel. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the location very convenient to the metro and bus services […] and the staff friendly and helpful! While I would stay in a different area on a future trip for the experience, I certainly would recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our one night stay here. Room was comfortable and more spacious than another Paris hotel room. We wanted to stay in another area in Paris- close to Sacre-coer, which was amazing to see! This hotel is also near a Metro and train station, so convenient for us since we were taking a train to London the next afternoon. The hotel was generous to keep our luggage while we visited nearby sites after checkout. The Opera and Galleries LaFayette were a few metro stops away. For those who complained about the size of the elevator, the age of the hotel, etc are not used to European travel. The hotel was sufficient for a one night stay. The hotel De la Tour D'Auvergne is a boutique hotel, just north of the city centre. The staff were excellent, spoke very good English and happy to advise on where to go out / eat etc. The hotel was very clean and well decorated in the reception and breakfast area (although a minor point was that the stair carpets could do with a some work). The room […] was not large - but then very few are in Paris - but was in perfect condition, well maintained and with a great bathroom. The Gare de Nord was approximately a 10 minute walk away, great if arriving by Eurostar. The Metro (line 7) was also less than 10 minutes and took you down to the Louvre or to Châtelet just north of Notre Dame Cathedral. The hotel was also handy for visiting the Pigalle and Montmatre areas, which were also 10-15 minutes walk away. In summary a great little hotel, with great staff in a good location. Read more

10 minute walk from Gare du Nord, 10-15 minutes walk from Opera where we had tickets for the ballet on the evening we arrived - all went very smoothly. Staff on arrival weren't really as friendly as they could have been but they weren't rude and the 2 different members of staff we met the following day were just lovely and extremely helpful. Air conditioning worked perfectly well but we turned it off when we went to bed because of the noise and left the windows open - were woken by very early morning noise in the street, as we were at the front of the hotel, but was fine when we closed the windows! Didn't feel rushed at all to vacate our room which was a welcome change and the room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Bathroom small but fine for us as we're not huge, shower worked well. Very courteous staff and great room designs. Hotel is in the Opera district but not very convenient to the sites of Paris. Taxi ride was 12 Euro each way at a minimum and the subway takes 40-45 minutes.

The staff at the hotel were very firendly and helpful. Our room was a little on the small side, however there was no street noise and windows could be left open during the night to take advantage of the fresh air. The hotel was close to both main railway stations in Paris, as well as being within walking distance to Boulevard De Rochenchouart, a lovely […] area for Cafes and Restaurants. The walk to Sacre Coeur Church was also very close and apart from the building itself, the lawns to sit and relax, as well as the view from this church was amazing. The walk in the opposite direction to the Seine River, the Louvre and the Notre Dame etc. was a little longer, but definitely easy walking. Great location, especially if you arrive via Eurostar in- it's only 10 minutes walk to Gard du Nord, so we were able to quickly drop off our bags & head into the city. It's 15minutes to Gallery Lafayette, under 10 mins to the nearest Metro station. A taxi back from the champs elysees was around €10. Hotel de la Tour d'Auvergne made my first stay in Paris a brilliant one. The location is perfect for getting from the Eurostar (a 10 minute walk) and very easy for getting across to all of the central sights. It's a short walk to the Opera district and the Sacre Coeur/ Montmartre. The hotel is also perfectly positioned to get to several metro stops […] that will take you a short journey to The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower and The Seine. The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful and really add to your stay. The rooms are also fantastically decorated each with it's own individual style. The hotel is typical small Parisienne 3* -high and narrow. Our room opened onto the one way street so the sounds of Paris life were around us. 15 mins from Monmarte, with the lovely restaurants on the backstreets where a starter and main averaged €20.00, but far enough away from Pigalle. 20 mins to Galerie Lafayette etc. You must go to Rue de Martyrs […] on Sunday morning to experience the Parisiennes shopping for food. 40 minute queues outside one patisserie while walking past others, choices of cheese, vegetables, fowl, fish, flowers, salads, wine, olive oil, pate.....The hotel was perfect for the tourist who likes to wander. Our bags were kept safe due to our early arrival and late departure. Did not eat there but preferred to try different places. Read more

Hotelli oli hyvässä kunnossa ja erittäin siisti. Vastaanoton henkilökunta oli erittäin avulias ja kaikki toimi kuten pitääkin. Huone oli pieni, mutta niin ne Pariisissa aina ovat. Ainoa miinus tulee suihkuseinän pienuudesta, vettä roiskui turhan laajalti mutta se kyllä kuivui melko nopeasti. Pyyhkeet vaihdettiin päivittäin.

今回、年末年始旅行で利用させていただきました。 飛行機が夜中に着く便だったので、かなり早朝にホテルに着き、荷物をチェックインまで預かってもらえるようお願いしたところ、快く中に案内していただき、サービスで軽い朝食までいただいてしまいました。スタッフの方もとてもフレンドリーで対応が良く好印象でした。 私が宿泊したのは１２号室。ブルーの壁紙のお部屋でとても素敵でした。ところどころ塗装が剥げてしまっているところがあるものの、素敵なデザインのお部屋なので、まったく気になりませんでした。 最終日、夜中に帰って来てしまい、お客さんがお湯を使いきってしまった後だったのか、冷たい水しか出て来ず翌朝も水でした。時間もないし、あきらめましたが、まぁそれ以外はなんの不自由はありませんでした。 次回も是非、利用したい […] ですね！次はどんなお部屋か楽しみ！！ Read more
