We stopped here as a halfway point between Milwaukee and Niagara Falls, Ontario. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, we slept and dreamed our little dreams. It's a good hotel.) we walked about a mile for dinner at Milan Grill, which was amazing. Stopped on the way back for ice cream at Dairy Barn. While you're in this tiny town, you can also check out Original Gravity Brewery! The hotel and the neighborhood may not seem like much at first, but that's because you're not looking at it. Upon entering my room I discovered that the ironing board was broke, which I cut my hand on. When I told the front desk, the said they would tell maintenance but did not offer me a different room or to bring me a new board. Next discovery was that the pool was down for maintenance and not able to be used. Next morning I found the breakfast buffet to […] have watery eggs and sausage that had a freezer taste to them. My last surprise was there was no hot water. When I called the front desk I was told they had just called maintenance (this was 9 am, and guests had been complaining since 6am). They told me I did not have to check out before 1p.m. if I wanted to wait for the repair. I walked down to the front desk at about 10:45a.m. and was informed there would probably not be any hot water that day. The desk attendant made me feel if I was annoying her and the lack of hot water was my fault. I have called the 800 number and I am waiting to hear back from the GM. I would have to think long and hard before staying here again or recommending it to friends. Read more

I don't think I will stay at a sleep Inn again. I arrived rather late, about 10pm, very tired from a long day and a long drive. I don't think the girl at the front desk smiled once during my whole check in, didn't say anything that wasn't absolutely necessary to complete the check in process. This is the first time in many years and many stays I actually had this hotel put a $100 hold on my card for 3-5 business days! The room was very clean but I don't think anything has been updated in at least 15yrs. My elderly mother and I arrived at approx. 11p.m. We were absolutely exhausted and was looking forward to our dry, warm beds. As I use an oxygen concentrator, to sleep, it was important to have a non-smoking room, which is what we booked. However, cigarrette butts were found near my mom's headboard, and ashes were around the night stand. The most frustrating […] situation was upon arrival, as I tried to get us "checked in". The desk clerk, could see that I was struggling to stay awake, but she still allowed a new employee to practise her "check-in" skills on me...IT TOOK her 20 min's! My mom and I were wet and cold, and I had to unload our luggage onto a cart, and wheel it to our room. Not one employee asked if they could help, and It was quite obvious, I was having breathing problems. I also did not have extra coffee/creamer, as I requested. We only stayed 8 hrs, and gave the desk clerk the cigarrette butts, as we exited. I will not ever stay at this Sleep Inn & Suites, again. However, I will use Expedia, for future trip arrangements. Stayed three nights including a weekend. Room was clean and maid service didn't miss a detail each day. All in room amenities replaced each day and room pleasant to return to each night. Love in room fridge and microwave. Pet friendly. 24 hr pool. Nice filling breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. :)

We had a good trip and did not spend much time in the hotel. For the cost it was clean and the continental breakfast was well stocked. I would recommend if traveling with more than 2 adults to get a second room. The bathroom is too small to get dressed in and there is not other privacy curtain or anything.

Room was good, but faced the highway so heard noisy trucks all night and cars hitting the rumble strip. Bring your own pillows because pillows provided were half the size of normal pillows and flattened out instantly. Shower was great.

Late night check-in was quick and easy. Hotel staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, only issue was the iron, which functioned but had a loose heating dial which made it unadjustable. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is a bargain for sure.

This Sleep Inn was great for one night after attending a University of Michigan football game. Plenty of fast food and pizza places very close, but not many good sit down restaurants to have a drink and watch football.

This was one of the cleanest places I've stayed. The breakfast was excellent, nice and hot, and plenty of it. We swam in the pool and use the exercise room. We came for a family reunion and it exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again.

The day after our first night in the hotel, we returned to the room to find a note left by the cleaning staff saying the room was too messy to clean. I've stayed in many hotels and never had this happen before. If they didn't want to deal with our personal items around the room, the least they could have done is made the bed and cleaned the bathroom. […] I think they were looking for an excuse to skip our room. Clean room, courteous staff and good price. Only two issues to discuss. One minor and the other not so minor. Minor Item #1. I shared the room with my granddaughter and because the bath vanity was outside the bathroom, it resulted in a lack of privacy when changing clothes. Not so minor Item # 2. The alarm clock was defective. It had four alarm settings; […] off, on, buzz and music. The problem was that the off position always resulted in the alarm staying on. Even though I did not set the alarm, it went off an hour before I had wanted to get up and then it could only be turned off by unpluging it and removing the battery. I can't really say enough good things about the SleepInn in Milan, MI. The staff are wonderful ... friendly, fast, and they make sure your stay is the best that it can be! The hotel itself is always clean, the pool is nice, the breakfast ... it could be homemade (I think the biscuits and gravy are awesome!), the shower is great, the beds ... so much […] to say ... clean sheets, comfortable pillows (I got 4 of them on my bed!), and wow, what a great nights sleep. I think I need to find out where they bought their mattresses! I need one! Oh I don't really have to, for such a great price, I can come stay at the SleepInn and feel like I'm getting pampered! My husband and I arrived at the sleep in and suites and stayed there for 2 days. The room was clean but the beds were very firm, and the television did not have any pay per view capability as I had seen online. They did have a continental breakfast but it was very meager. They did not have any waffles as advertised, the machine was broken and the sausage […] gravy was very salty and the biscuits hard, the cereal was the best part for how can you mess up cereal! We left our room the first day and left the sign up for the staff to come in and straighten up. They fixed the beds but left the trash which was overflowing. I stayed in the sleep inn & suites mainly because it was close to Michigan Stadium which is the reason why I was in Michigan. The workers were very friendly and the pool being open 24hours was very convenient as we did not get there until 10pm, and by this time most pools would have already been closed. When we went into the pool area, there were no […] towels so I asked the receptionist at the front desk and he gave me some immediately. We also wanted to check out at twelve rather than eleven and they assured us that this was not a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others that are trying to stay at a good hotel for a decent price! We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Michigan in the future!
