What an awsome stay at the Palms, from rubbing shoulders with Mike Tyson at the pool to rocking with Tommy Lee at Rain Nightclub, the Palms had it all. Having visited Vegas four times I believe this hotel is ideal for those who are looking to party! Upon check in we received 2 VIP passes giving us comp/ front of the line admission to all the clubs including Playboy, which has to be seen to be believed! All in all a great trip if you are looking for fun the Palms really is the "good life".

I agree with some of the other posts as it is a bit of a trek to the strip, but we knew that when we booked... The Playboy club and Ghost Bar are quite an experience. I give it a 3 for the cleanliness of the bathroom (drains smells and caulking) and the staff weren't very approachable.

We arrived after midnight (had called ahead to let them know we would be checking in late) and check in was very smooth, I'm sure the late hour helped. We had booked a promotion for a regular room rate with a free upgrade to a Jr. Suite. They said there were no more 2 bed Jr. Suites available so they upgraded us to a bigger 2 bed suite (we had our teenagers with us so we needed the extra bed and sofa). The room was awesome. They put us in the Fantasy Tower and the room had a nice view which included the strip off to the side just a bit. The first room was the living room with work area, couch, chair, coffee table and flat screen on the wall. Then the bedroom, with 2 beds, dresser, flat screen tv, and floor to ceiling windows with electric blinds (very cool). Then the bathroom, which was all marble, two sinks facing the floor to ceiling windows (again electric blinds), a two person jacuzzi tub and glass shower. The only problem we had the whole stay was a clogged toilet, and maintenance was up within 30 minutes to fix it.

The hotel was rated a four star. Personally, I would rate it a three star. The reasons are 1. The furniture seemed old. 2. Inadquate furniture for a four star hotel. No desks were provided. We had to ask for one. 3 There were no place to set our luggage. We had to ask for one. 4. The room is not bright and cheery. 5. There is no quiet place in the casino. Not even in the elevator. There is loud music everywhere. Personally I would not want to stay there again, even at the reduced rate.

I was really disappointed. We try to stay at a different hotel each time we go to Las Vegas and this has been the least impressive so far. I will not be back. Obviously they are there for their night club scene. The casino is practically non-existent, no shows, poor restaurants, no-frills rooms (unless you want a really expensive "fantasy suite", but I don't need a basketball court in my room). Perhaps a nice place to visit for the club-goers, but don't stay there.

The room with 2 double beds had very thin walls (I could clearly hear the conversation of the girls through the wall while trying to sleep at 11pm). Also the blankets were so short that they only went from my shoulders to my ankles (I am only 6'0"). The TV was the old CRT style, not LCD. For the same $$, I would have rather stayed elsewhere.

Cleaning staff was friendly, front desk could use a little work on their customer service skills. I would recommend it if you would like to go to the clubs there. Improvements could be made to the time it takes to get through the buffet payment line. There is a $20 a day fee if you want to use the gym at a spa because the hotel does not have their own gym. Long distance calls from your room are way to expensive. The shower heads are evry old. Positives: Rooms were very clean and the cleainig service employee was very friendly. The food at the buffet was very good and the breakfast buffet was priced good at $7.99. The pool was beautiful but a little cold. There was a 24 hour McDonallds inside the hotel

When it first opened The Palms was the hippest of the hip, and yet was still inviting enough to make you want to stay. But now it has degenerated into a place where drunken groups of revelers carouse through the casino late into the night, speaking too loud and feeling like two-bit kings for a day. The palms has lost whatever cachet it had and now offers little but highly polished check-in counters and decent food at the cafe..

The Palms is great Sunday - Wednesday. The pool is fun and active and the sportsbook is very nice. The poker room is lacking but does offer some nice incentives to play on Football Sundays. We asked for an upgrade and were obliged with a very nice two room suite for the same low price we paid on hotels.com. My girlfriend and I were also given several club passes and the concierge was very helpful. One steered me towards a great show and got me a ticket upgrade and another was nice enough to tell me when my outfit wasn't up to snuff for another hotel's club. Take care of the concierge and they take care of you. Overall I was very satisfied with the Palms.

The Palms is a great property for the midweek as their rooms are usually cheap. Come the weekend, the rates go through the roof as it is the place of choice for party goers. The property is in good shape with reasonably priced drinks and restaurants. Simon's (great scene and phenomenal food)and Alize (high-end spot for couples) have put together price fixed menus and dropped their drink prices for the economy. N9ne and Nove still remain excellent but remain in a pre-economy world with outrageous prices. Other dining options include a decent coffee shop, food court, Little Buddha, and a good Mexican joint with outside dining. In terms of room product, the Palms Tower is a bit dated and needs it's FFE upgraded. However, the beds are uber comfortable and offer high-end linens and down comforters. The Fantasy Tower, which opened in 2008, is nicer and newer. If possible, try to stay in this tower. Sometimes, depending on the time of week, you can get a room at Palms Place for cheap. This is a high-end condo tower attached to Palms via a moving walkway that is one of the nicest room products in town. Palms Place is worth checking out if it fits in your budget. Overall, a good property with cheap drinks and a great scene!

Party spilled out into the hall on several occasions where people were yelling and smoking on a non-smoking floor. Went down to speak with the manager the next day and his response was "well we are a party hotel." In all fairness, he ended up comping my room upgrade and some small room charges.
