"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

Wall Street comes to life before dawn as traders rush to Lower Manhattan to make and break deals. But finance is just one aspect of Lower Manhattan, where colonial churches stand next to skyscrapers. Within the district, rebuilding continues at Ground Zero. At Battery Park, ferries depart for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, America’s beacon of freedom.

"empty nesters"
We came up to NYC at the last minute to visit our children. The Ritz Carlton was the perfect place to stay: quiet, uncrowded, relaxed--and reasonably priced for NYC.

"Everything was absolutely Top Notch"
The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park is the place to stay when you are in NYC. Everything from the view to the hotel staff are super. Every single staff person we came in contact with welcomed us and asked us to enjoy our stay. The room was spectacular.
"GREAT HOTEL"
Our concern with being given a low floor hotel room key evaporated as soon as we opened the door. We'd booked a Statue of Liberty View room and were not disappointed. We had a large corner room with a great view of the statue and harbor. Room was equipped with telescope, which made the views even better. Room was quiet & comfortable. Service at front […] desk, check-in and check-out was top notch. Bartender was friendly and helpful. Caution that this hotel is way downtown (we had business meeting right across street), so if you want to go uptown, just be prepared to pay a healthy cab fare. If we have business in that area again, we will surely return. Read more
"wake up call on business trip"
They forgot to give me a wake up call that I requested the night before .
"Spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty"
Service was top notch and the views of NY Harbor were awe inspiring. The new fitness center was superb.
"Ritz Carlton Downtown"
Lovely hotel, somewhat overpriced particularly on the weekends given its very out of the way location at the tip of Manhattan. However, the views are spectacular.
While not in the Times Squ area , this is the best experience for a wonderful stay in NY Service is excellent and they always get you a cab up town. The bed is the best!! and the walk around the battery so beautiful.
"Charli jia"
Compare with hotels near time squear, here is perfect.but the hard equipment is not like five star hotel.
This hotel was fabulous! The staff are very helpful and could not be more courteous. I would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton at Battery Park.
"Very Elegant Modern Property"
Ritz Carlton is top notch. I have stayed at many and this property is on the more contemporary yet very sophisticated side as far as decor goes. Service and our corner room was oversized with great views of statue of liberty. This is our second stay there and we really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend it. Hotel is slighly out of the way but the quieter […] neighborhod is nice too. Mid town property is more staid and traditional and rooms are much smaller although it is right there on Central Park South... Battery Park property is a nice change of pace and will grab weekends there whenever possible. Read more

"LOVED IT!"
We stayed in a suite with a view of the statue of liberty. Everything about this hotel is WONDERFUL! (as expected) Robes and slippers in the room, chocolate on our pillows, phone in the restroom ;) ...couldn't ask for anything else...and if we could, i'm sure they would have brought it to us. Everyone was VERY helpful! Will definitely reccommend this […] hotel to anyone! Read more

"Fantastic Hotel"
We enjoyed our visit in New York. This hotel most definitely exceeded our expectations. We were in NY for my husband's 54th class reunion. The friendly service at this hotel was excellent. After the class reunion, room service knocked on our door and brought us chocolate covered cherries and a cake that had a big 54 on top of the cake. Jason's attention […] to detail was amazing and he as well as the enitre staff made our trip one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. We loved our visit! Read more

"Ritz Carlton"
No roof top deck. Housekeeping bothers you at 5pm to turn down when of course we are dressing for dinner. Why turn down at 5pm? Room small but nice, but not spectacular.

"Check out the RITZ"
It was the most amazing experience ever and well worth the money. The entire staff that we came in touch with were so service oriented - we were made to feel special It was a splurge for us to spend that kind of money on a room for one night...but SOOOOOO worh it - would highly recommend that everyone do this.

"Beautiful Room"
Goregous hotel. Wonderful view of the Statue of Libery from our room. Would definitely stay there again.
"Great service"
Customer service was excellent. I was addressed by name when I arrived at the hotel. Front desk, bellmen etc were very friendly and helpful. Room service was prompt. I think the room service prices were a bit excessive.

"Ritz Carolton - Battery Park"
The Ritz Carolton Battery Park was a great stay - at a cheap price. The location isn't the greatest all the way down at the end of the island but the concierge was good, service was great, and the room was clean and well appointed. It was - the Ritz. And at least on this stay, the cheapest (decent) hotel in the city.

"fantastic weekend getaway"
My husband and I were thinking of a special way to celebrate our first anniversary. After looking at summer vacation packages of all varieties, we were very disappointed by the available options so close to our actual anniversary date. Then we decided to pick a five-star hotel for a weekend getaway. We thought, if we can't afford a week long vacation […] at the New Jersey shore, then why not go for a five-star weekend-right? We picked the Ritz-Carlton for many reasons....one because of its convenient location in Battery Park, which is easy to get to from any major city arround the NYC area....second because of its relatively low-priced rooms compared to other five-star hotels such as the Plaza....third because of its "brand name" and reputation for luxury, style, and sophistication. We were not disappointed. Our room was extrordinarily comfortable, especially the bed! I never have slept on a better bed before. We chose a "Club-Level" room which included small meals throughout the day prepared in the lounge. We could have eaten for free just by munching on the exquisite hors-d'oeurves and small dishes served in the lounge, but instead we opted for room service which was great! I would get a harbor-view room next time, simply because the city-view rooms sometimes have curious neighbors who don't mind spying with binoculars. The hotel was very well taken care of. It was luxurious but not over-the-top like the Plaza. We had a teriffic stay and felt transported. I would reccomend the Ritz-Carlton to any couple who would like the five-star treatment without the ridiculous prices. Read more
"Thanks to welcomeaward programm"
I booked the club level access room on the 11th floor. I also "paid" extra for this amenity and it did not exist. They attemted to put us on the 4th floor fortunately with a side view on harbor. Thanks to welcomeaward programm I paid only taxes for this stay. I didn't feel myself like in 5* hotel and been happy that I didn't pay real money for it.
"Some interesting benefits"
Reserved club floor, for additional 40 dollars. With 2 kids and 2 adults, use of the club room, with free drinks and light meals, more than saved us that amount of money, esp. breakfast, which is stated as "continental" but would be better described as "light buffet", as it included smoke salmon, various meats and cheeses, very nice berries, and more, […] in addition to breads, juices and coffee. Also, not sure why, but overnight parking was free (in NYC, a $100 value). Read more

"Great Location and Service for a Bargain Price"
This hotel was perfect for seeing sights downtown. We had an amazing harbor view of the Statue of Liberty. We walked to the ferry, Wall Street, and WTC site. All very close and an easy walk. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. This price is a BARGAIN for staying at a Ritz-Carlton and everything you receive. I can't recommend any higher!

"Stay in New York"
The hotel is very good - little bit outside but you can use the taxi or the subway to go to everywhere. AS expected and ame as in every Ritz Carlton Hotel the service is very very good. (only a pool is missing)
"Ritz Carlton Battery Park - Peace and Quiet"
This is a wonderful hotel and our stay here was fabulous. We had a city room initially and that was very comfortable with a view of Battery Park. This large room had a bed that was really soft and the bathroom was very large with a bath and a shower. Our daughter (intern in New York) then stayed over and we asked if she could stay in our room. We were […] then offered a larger room with a view of the Statue of Liberty and a roll out bed for our daughter, at no extra cost. This was a magical room with a view of the bay and with a telescope in the room we were able to view Lady Liberty at anytime. The staff in the hotel are superb and very professional. They tried to make our stay as enjoyable as posssible and the level of hospitality is amazing. We did have breakfast in the hotel on Sunday and the quality of the food was lovely. We did take the free Staten Island ferry and go and have an early morning Smoothie on Staten Island, out of the terminal and straight over the road and at the top of the steps to a healthy bar owned by Louis. The location at Battery Park is good as transport into Uptown Manhatten is easy on the Subway from Bowling Green or Bus M20. However taxis are also readily available outside the hotel lobby. The area is interesting as it is on the waters edge and has easy access to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the ferry teminal to Staten Island. It is also near Battery Park which is very peaceful and lively at weekends. The Museum of American Indians is within walking distance and also the Museum of Skyscrapers. This was the second part of our trip and so we wanted to rest a bit as we had previuosly stayed in Midtown Manhatten and burned both ends of the candle. So, if you want a comfortable and elegant home at the end of the day, this is certainly a place to stay. Read more
