The elevator did not work and we had to walk up 3 flights with our luggage - no problem; however we asked to be moved because weird smoke odor and the smell drifted into our room. The room we were moved to had 2 double (better for us) however the freezer did not work nor did the remote control for the TV and the shower had very little pressure. Breakfast […] is not breakfast, coffee, tea, juice and bread is not even a continental breakfast but again - no problem. I understood it s a budget hotel but they really need to make sure of who they are letting out rooms to. The convenience of the location is great. There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby all within walking distance and a very easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Transportation is also convenient with buses and the cable cars just a few minutes walk from the hotel. If you don't mind a really budegt hotel then this is it otehrwise pay a few extra dollars to find a better quality hotel. The maids did a good job and were always friendly as well as the owner but there is an elder gentlemen there who seemed reluctant to assist when I complained of the odor near and in my room - not a good example of customer service. Since we were not in the room for much of the day it sufficed for a budget hotel although I am not sure I would return a second time. Read more
You get what you pay for. I liked the location and easy access to transportation. Great bars and restaurants a block away from the hotel.

"it's a low down drug hide away for local dregs"
trust me....do not stay here...simply sub standard and awful
We stayed for a bachelor party, this place was all we needed and wanted. Free breakfast was a joke but marina deli has awesome breakfast sandwiches and around plenty of bars an nightlife.
"Presidio Inn Lombard - close to all must see sight"
The Hotel was adequate for our needs. You are walking distance to all places like The Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Chinatown Lombard Street. Only downside, rooms that were non smoking, people in the room next to us were smoking....breakfast included juice, coffee and pastries but was not open on time. Hotel parking was very adequate. restaurants and movie […] theaters very close to Hotel. I would come back Read more
room smell really bad.
"motel room not available"
When we arrived at the motel our reservation could not be found even though it was in the computer and on the hotels.com site. The motel owner/manager had given our room to a higher bidder and tried to blame hotels.com. This motel is a typical Arab owned motel. Poor service poor maintanence and the highest bidder gets the room.

"Presidio Inn- might not be worth the good location"
I booked this room because it seemed close to everything that I wanted to go see. It is true that it is in the middle of all the good destinations, it is still a long walk until you get to anything good. The neighborhood is really dumpy and dirty. The rooms aren't much better. The room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. After returning home […] I had to wash all of my clean clothes again because the smell sticks with you. The TV didn't work at all and the free internet was too slow to stream anything. The bed was partially broken, and the blanket was torn. The free continental breakfast is a joke. When I arrived at 8:30, 1/2 hour after it opened, there was nothing but 1 piece of bread and some bland juice. we had to call the staff to have them restock the breakfast, and then all he did was put out a couple of tiny danishes and put more syrup in the hot chocolate machine. Overall, this hotel was ok for me because I was on a really tight budget, but I will not be going back. I booked this because I thought that there weren't going to be many other vacant rooms anywhere nearby. When I got there I walked down the street and saw a ton of other vacancies. Review Cons - Dirty, smelly rooms - Far from anything interesting - Poor breakfast and staff Pros - Good price - I didn't get any diseases... that I know of. Read more
"It deserves the price"
Location is good, but the bed is too soft.
"Presidio Inn SF"
While the location is perfect for attending an event at the Palace of the Fine Arts, our night was ruined by rude neighbors. The room above us held an all-night drinking party, that was still going on when we left at 5:30 in the morning. Having a bad ear, I was able to get a couple hours sleep; my husband was not so lucky. Hopefully our next stay won't […] be as uncomfortable. Read more
Location is very good. besides, everything is bad. If you're looking for cheaper hotel, choose this hotel. But, don't expect anything, even breakfast.
"Presidio inn san Francisco"
I judge a restaurant by the quality of their bread, and a hotel by the pressure in the shower... The shower was really bad...the refrigerator didn't work, and the walls were paper thin...area was ok though...would not go back

"Easy Access"
Clean basic motel room, no frills
"Very nice staff and great location."
The staff, especially the young couple running the hotel were very nice and very helpful in helping us get acquainted with San Francisco. There were lots of great restaurants surrounding the hotel area and it was close enough to the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marina, Pacific Heights and the Palace of Fine Arts, that we could walk to them. For the price, […] it was a great place and location, so I highly recommend it. Read more

"Presidio Inn in San Francisco, Ca."
The Inn is centrally located, however, room smelled of cigarette smoke everyday. Proprietor said was a non smoking hotel. There also was no air conditioning. Walls were grubby. They needed either a paint job or good washing. Not open on time for Continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and on the day of checkout, never opened, leaving many guests to go find […] coffee and breakfast for themselves, which was included in the price of the hotel stay. I would not recommend to anyone. Read more
"Presidio Inn"
Good room, clean and comfortaqble and the bathroom with its great shower was good too. Management was nice and helpful and the location of the hotel is fantastic. Would stay there again anytime
"Stay Away!"
Noisy. Filthy. Disgusting. The worst hotel stay I've ever had. The bathroom was so bad, it cannot be described. There wasn't even a place to put your soap. The sink looked like it would fall off the wall at any moment. There was no water pressure to at least try and wash off the dirty feeling you get from sleeping in the filthy and run down room.
"hotels.com remove them from your list!"
I read the reviews and it was the only option in my price range. I can handle humble but not filthy. the blanket, when turned back, had tire treads and other odd stains. I "slept" with the sheet and my bath towels for warmth. Parking weird, although the young man who checked me in was nice, the owner acted like he was doing me a favor when I asked if […] where I parked was okay so as not to be towed. walls stained beyond belief, carpets should be condemed. "very unclean"
hotel room was dirty.my whole right arm has bites all the way down after sleeping on the bed.they are still there a week later.I can't confirm they are bed bugs but I have my suspicions. No air conditioner. would not stay there again.
"Presidio is OK, well-located for Fishermans Wharf"
Nothing out of the ordinary. A motel-style property that does a job - It provides a clean, comfortable, good value room for a few nights, in a reasonable area, with good access to the tourist sites of San Francisco. I'm not sure which continent is represented by the awful coffee and dry inedible mini-muffins they describe as a continental breakfast. […] It's a token effort, but there are good alternatives just a short walk away. Read more
"Not good at all"
Do not stay at this hotel. Not worth $10.00 to stay there.
"Caution"
Went i got to the hotel my room was not ready. Then the room they gave me did not have a working key. They switch me to another room and when I walked in, the maids had not cleaned it yet (trash, dirty beds) etc. Finally, I do not know if it is bed bugs, however I did wake up and had bites all over my back.
"Presidio Inn in SF-rundown but inexpensive"
I went to SF to attend a class and brought the family. Needed an inexpensive place to stay. The Presidio Inn was inexpensive and in a good convenient neighborhood with lots of restaurants and the ever important Peets coffee just a block or two away. Also close to the marina, Palace of fine arts, Exlporatorium, Fort Mason and many bus lines. The location […] was good. The room itself was pretty rundown, the beds were uncomfortable and the furnishings old. It just didn't seem that clean. It's fine if you don't want to spend a lot, but if you want to be more comfortable spend a little bit more $. Read more
"Bomb"
You get what you pay for. It's far from a 5 star hotel or even a 3 star, but it gets the job done. I recommend to anyone on a budget
"Was what we need"
And it was a nice stay in SF
Great hotel. The people working at this hotel are really nice and helpful. Great location
"Hotel precidio in San francisco"
Breakfast was terrible. Hoe chocolet machine did not work. people in the office were not at all professional. Coffee was not available untill after 8 AM. We didnot use inhouse coffee maker as we were questioning its cleanliness. There were stains on the blanket. Parking was big problem.

"Only 10 minutes from the Wharf :)"
For the very low price that we paid this hotel was decent. The hotel is just 1 block up from bus 30 which takes you down the the Wharf. They only put 2 towels in the room so if you need an extra make sure you ask when checking in. I like 2 towels (1 for my hair and 1 for my body). We called down for an extra towel but never got it. On a positive note […] they do offer free wifi!! Check in is at 3pm and they will not allow you to check in even a minute early. If you show up early go enjoy some sight seeing. :) Over all the hotel wasn't all that bad. Read more

"Cheap and satisfactory"
Found some great little local areas within walking distance (Chestnut Street and Union Street). Easy access to the public network system into the heart of San Francisco, the bridge, the harbour area and Haight Ashbury. Enjoyed our stay

"Presidio Inn Lombard Street"
This was a lower tier hotel than we are used to, not that clean but not terrible. We like the neighborhood which is why we chose it.
"Presidio Inn in San Francisco"
Location was pretty good in the Marina area of San Francisco. Shower was very weak - felt that could not get all of the soap off. Breakfast started at 8:00 am - a little too late for us seniors on medication. Very little room in the bathroom to put anything. Walls pretty thin - could hear bed springs squeaking from the next room. Would not stay there […] again! Read more
"little better for us as we never stayed there"
they were overbooked so we got shifted to Days Inn that was across the street.. Don't expect a big breakfast. We got the best room as per the attendant but the room was ok.
