Very anticeptic - strictly business. Kind of out of the way, not within walking distance of anything. New - everything works - food at hotel fair. Go here if you are on business, not for entertainment. It is perfect for getting stuff done without distractions.

Over all it was good. Since i was there for a n=oone night stay the area was not an issue, if i was there longer i would like to have been in a different area, but i felt the area to be safe, and that is what really counts

The Wingate was a perfect blend of convenience, quality and price. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay there. We would stay there again.

Very close to Spruce Meadows, and they are very accommodating to people traveling with their pets. Treats for dogs, cats, and horses available at the front desk. Awesome. Will definitely stay again.

I could not believe how awesome this place was for the value we paid, the staff was more than friendly, the rooms were big and clean! the continental breakfast was awesome, the pool was clean and lots of fun, the exercise room was equipped and spacious! "Great Hotel"
Hotel was great! Breakfast was best we have seen yet... although found it weird that you have to cross the lobby to get to the pool, which is not the ideal thing when your wet, with slippery tiles nor do i like to show off in my bathing suit. Getting to the Entrance of the parking lot was an adventure.. better instructions would be good,
"Handy to south Calgary"
Beds were comfy, breakfast buffet was nice. Front desk staff were a bit snooty but the rest of the staff were great. Doors in rooms are very heavy and wouldn't close properly unless they were slammed. Came back to room twice to find the door was ajar. All in all we would come back. Oh, and the waterside was a blast!
"Great hotel"
This hotel was exceptional the only draw back was we arrived at 10:45 to the breakfast and the breakfast lady was right on our heals cleaning up and pressuring us to leave. The breakfast end time was 11:00 so we weren't really impressed. Other than that the staff were great and we will stay there again :-)

"What I expected by reading other reviews"
We stayed here for 2 nights. After the first night we had a problem with ordering a movie. The staff cared so much more than we did and did everything they could to make it up to us. Our children loved the pool and hot tub. The day staff were so friendly and helpful. We did have an extra charge on our credit card but it only to a short call to get it […] removed. "The Wingate in Calgary - close to everything"
We went to Calgary to visit a family member and stayed for 3 nights at the Wingate. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and well kept. The continental breakfast was excellent. It was close to main shopping and there was a restaurant/lounge across the parking lot.

This hotel is great if you are travelling with children. The waterslide and pool provide great entertainment and the free breakfast has enough choices to please even the 'pickiest' of eaters.
