If you want a quality overnight or couple of days stay in the "Twente" region of eastern Netherlands (en route to Germany), then this is the place. Can be a little tricky to find the first time if you diverge from your Google map instructions (or whatever you use). Excellent first class restaurant in the hotel. Try to avoid the upstairs rooms in the roof space that have a bed on the second level accessed by a near vertical spiral staircase that the US Gymnastics team would find difficult to climb with luggage!!

This hotel is housed in a former convent, and the building is beautiful. There is a lovely courtyard for breakfast (which was great). And the rooms are large, very clean and modern. Also, they rent bikes for a very reasonable rate and it's a great home base for rides in the Dutch countryside. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location is on a quiet, quaint street in this very pretty city. I would definitely stay here again.

The area around and the grounds of the hotel are stunning. It's a bit outside of town, but being there on business, I loved coming back to the hotel and having the quiet, green respite. I missed the restaurant, having been there the two days it was closed, but the Bistro was delicious. The staff were top-notch for service. And the "gift shop"... hard to call it that really... has an amazing wine selection. I felt like I was in a private connoisseur's cellar. Prices were quite good, too. Wish I'd had more room in my suitcase to bring home gourmet oils and various wine finds.

Located in a very nice nature setting. Well appointed but no A/C. Many breakfast choices. One beautiful morning we were having breakfast on the outside terrace enjoying nature's sounds, which were suddenly replaced with the noises of lawnmowers a few feet away; poor timing of the grounds keepers!
