"Great location for exploring French Riviera"
I read Rick Stevens books which was right on the money to choose Nice or Antibes as you point for visiting Riviera. Also it was across the supermarket so you can get vine and snacks there. Also two McDonalds were close. The lady at the reception was very pleasant when we arrived.Genuine Expedia guest review
Clean and comfy hotel in a good location on the main shopping street of Nice. Our room was on the top floor overlooking a side street which may have made it more quiet than other rooms. Didn't have breakfasts at the hotel. Over the road to the hotel entrance was a Monoprix supermarket so very handy - it has delicious food options available! Only a 10 […] minute walk down to the waterfront and probably only a 5 minute walk to the train station so very handy to everything. Also only about 10 minute walk to Old Nice which is great fun. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Felt safe wandering around at night too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good Hotel in a Great Location right in the heart of Nice. Could not ask for more in a Hotel in this price range. MerciGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This Hotel offers real value for money. Great Location. 10 to 15 minute walk to beach, Old town and station. You are on the Main Street close to all the action but the hotel is still quiet. Staff were great, polite and very helpful. Rooms were a good size, great bathroom and fantastic air con. We didn't have the breakfast we popped down the road to […] a brioche D'or bakery and had it there, cheap as you like. We got a great deal on this place. And would certainly stay there again. This is a no brainer. Good free wifi too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent value and location"
Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had an excellent tub and shower and the air conditioning worked great. Staff were absolutely wonderful, very helpful. Hotel breakfast was perfect for an early bite to eat before a busy day. Location is 5 min to the train station and 10 min walk to the promenade d'anglaise and the beach. Would definitely […] stay there again. Great value, great room, great staff and great location! Flat rate from airport to hotel and back by taxi is 35 Euros. About a 15 min ride. Stayed 3 pleasant nights. Room very nice and staff friendly. Not much to do on the groundfloor other than to make cups of coffee and use business computer free, but it suited our needs.Genuine Expedia guest review
A clean hotel in a good location. The rooms are small but comfortable and the staff friendly and speak good English. 10 minuet walk to the sea. Car park for only 6 cars so if you go out you wonder if you will have a space when you get backGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central and convenient."
Excellent relatively budget hotel (Nice very expensive). Hotel staff were great, really friendly and helpful. Well positioned. On the main shopping street, tram stop 50 yards away (for visits to old town etc in evenings). Railway station 5 mins away. We had a superior room ( not much more expensive and well worth it) overlooking shopping area. Once […] we closed outside shutters hardly any street noise heard and got an excellent night's sleep. Nothing bad to say at all. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good location but tired decor"
The hotel is well located, 10 minutes walk from the promenade d'anglais, and 10 minutes from the railway station. It is near a tram stop which is handy if you want to take the tram home from the old town or the Port after a long day. But my room was rather basic with tired decor and a funny smell in the wardrobe.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel, perfect location"
We spontaneously came from skiing in the Alps for 1 night to Nice. We booked last minute. The hotel staff was very nice at the arrival, the hotel has I believe 6 or 8 parking places only - but we got to park in front of the hotel anyway. The room was very nice with view on the main street, one could even see the sea further away (3rd floor, triple room), […] we got a baby cot as requested when booking. Clean, cozy,.. we were all very pleased about everything! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed for a week in November. The hotel is in a perfect location. Less than 10 minutes walk from the Train Station where the Airport Bus stops. The tram line is right outside the hotel on Rue J. Medecin. Ladies, if shopping is your thing, you will love Rue Jean Medecin! You can also walk easily to the old town and the Cours Saleya Flower Market, or […] you can take the tram outside your door to the Opera Stop. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. As with most French hotel rooms, it was small, but there was an entry lobby with wardrobes and bathroom, so we weren't falling over each other in the small bedroom space! The room also had a small balcony which was perfect for gazing at the activity below. There is some noise from the trams and the traffic outside, but the windows are double glazed, and the noise didn't bother us at all. The reception desk was very helpful regarding any questions we had. We only got one key on arrival, but once we asked, another was produced straight away. The WiFi is free and worked perfectly. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around aswell. I will go back to this hotel. It is just so convenient for everything. The only thing I missed was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. But we survived! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very difficult to find due to awful ones at system"
Lady from Romania was a joy of a person to greet us after a long journey which is more than I can say for the fair lady that booked us out! I loved this hotel for the money and just a 3 star rating. My son and his friend had stayed here 2 weeks before and said it was great value. The main thing anyone wants from a hotel is clean fresh beding comfy pillows […] and it had all of these things. "Good value, good location and a decent hotel"
We had a 3 bed bedroom and although one of the beds setup properly, not broken, the room was better than the price we paid. The lift is small and this may cause the large person with luggage a few journeys - its has a 225kg limit. An excellent value for money hotel not far from the trains station and within easy walking distance of the sea front.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean rooms and friendly staff"
Just skip the breakfast you could get better and cheaper meals elsewhere. Canteen is small and had way too many tables and chairs, which made it hard to move around and be comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great position for everything that's good in Nice, the old town, beach and train station etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Strategically placed, clean and simple hotel"
If you wish to travel along the cost, this hotel is very well placed. Train station is around 10min walk, train takes you to Monaco in approx 30min or Cannes in 40min. Train tickets are much cheaper compared to UK, excellent value for money. There is an "old school" bistro on the corner just opposite the hotel, we truly enjoyed our first coffees of […] the day there. Big supermarket is also just in front of the hotel, very handy. No fridge or kettle in the room. Good Lebanese restaurant Le Socrate just to the north of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, 3min walk from the hotel. Wouldn't recommend food at touristy old town Nice, very expensive and not good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not recommended for 3 stars"
I really did not like the room. They r real tiny and most important the flood not flat as if u are on a roof. There is no way to open windows as there is so much mosquito at night. The location is excellent but rooms are so tiny and the floor is tilted u need sometimes to balance yourself to avoid falling.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In the middle of everything , bad service"
Made me forget the joy I had in Cannes and Paris . My bed was a bench I paid 174$ a night to sleep on a bench . Picture of the bench available . One pillow only , they said no more we are full .i asked for one of the dozen of the pillows at the reception area , the lady refused . I slept sitting on that bench watching tv .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very small room"
I booked a triple room they gave us a small double room with a single ( baby) bed. terrible.....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Booked at very short notice, this hotel gave my wife and I a perfect base from which to explore (albeit very briefly), Nice before our return home. Good value for money and air-conditioned the room was comfortable (A/C could have done with being slightly more adjustable however). Hotel is centrally positioned, close to one of Nice's main shopping streets, […] but our room was nevertheless quiet and any noise was masked by the hum of the A/C. Didn't opt for breakfast as there was much in the way of choice elsewhere and close-by. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We booked a standard room which was way to small, we should have booked a superior room which are larger. The tiles bathroom unfortunately weren't that clean and the cistern on the toilet had been previously broken and instead of buying a new one they just glued it together. The air conditioning didn't work properly, but staff were lovely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are very small and there are absolutely basic comfort inside the rooms. No frige, no tissues, no room service. Parking is available but expensive. Breakfast is basic for 12 euros. I would'nt recommend it to families with kids but the staff were rather friendly and responsive to our requests. Location is pretty good.Genuine Expedia guest review
Perfectly positioned for the shops, the rail station and the beach (1/2 a mile). Everything is in walking distance to this hotel and because it is in the shopping district you are not disturbed by late night revellers in the streets below. Our room was very basic, no fridge/minibar. No safe. No iron and a rather rubbish all in one hairdryer in the batheroom. […] If you have hair that needs blowdrying I would bring your own. We didn"t have breakfast in the hotel as there are thousands of bars and restaurants nearby to get a much cheaper croissant and coffee. All in all we stayed for 6 nights and slept like babies through every one of them. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Acceptable option when we really needed one"
We didn't plan to stay at the Best Western New York but had to improvise in a hurry when our flight departing Nice was cancelled due to the Air Traffic Control strike. Hotel is located near Place Massena and the big department stores in the commercial/tourist part of the city. Neighborhood dead at night but main tourist district a 10 to 15 min. walk […] away. Nearby tram line handy for access to more interesting parts of town. Room was smallish and clean, bed OK but a little soft, bathroom not the newest but clean and functional. Air conditioning adequate for late springtime. No balcony. Longish wait for the lone, tiny elevator. Nice Buddha on a landing on the staircase. This is an old hotel that looks as if it was remodeled a few years ago. Beautiful facade but unfortunately the space in front is a parking lot. Young guys in reception were pleasant, tried to be helpful, but also were distracted talking to friends and didn't know about things like transport to the airport (although they did print out information we asked for). Advertised WiFi a joke both in our room and in the little computer room off the lobby. Early departure ruled out breakfast. Nevertheless this was a positive experience given the way we were stranded, and the biggest plus was how Expedia found it for us almost instantly when we called them, and got us a very good price, too. "More like 2 star to me"
I've stayed at a number of Best Western hotels and I was surprised this was one of them and a 3 star hotel. When you walk in the hotel it looks nice. The elevators are really slow but that's ok they're old. I really disliked the room. I guess what made it a 3 star is that they provide some toiletries because the rest I would pretty much consider a 2 […] star. The was room was ok although the grout looked dirty. I had a room with yellow walls but you could see the dirt on and dust on them. they were practically dark greyish. I actually felt a little gross. There was old covering on the bed meaning that it wasn't like a duvet or comforter type you normally get these days; it was a bed sheet, a wool type blanket and one of those ugly coverings that cover the entire bed for decor. It was ugly and I didn't feel comfortable at all in the room. To top of off the tv control was filthy and I didn't even want to touch it. Location was ok, walking distance from train station and beach. I would not book this hotel again because the rooms were dingy and I consider it more of a 2 star. "A bit disappointing"
The hotel is on the corner of a busy main street. We arrived by car late in the evening and luckily managed to find a parking space nearby on the street (free till 9am). I had requested, if possible, a parking space but as there are only 8 spaces so unless you are able to book it up front, very little chance. The reception and reception decor was good. […] We were in a room for one night on the 2nd floor. The room was small but with quite a reasonable en-suite. It was clean and the decor was OK. We tried sleeping with the window open but it was rather noisy. So windows shut and air conditioning on low was just about OK. We paid extra for the breakfast. The selection was fairly limited but adequate. The actual dining room was what I would call cosy. Overall for a night it was okay but I would not have wanted to stay there for any much longer period. "Great location, you won't spend much time in it"
This was a good choice. You want to be near the station so you can get to cannes, monaco etc, and also near the nice seafront. You won't spend much time in the hotel, so you only need something clean and simple. the bathroom is great, no complaints at allGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Two ladies of a certain age, stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Great location, walked everywhere. Hotel was more than adequate for our needs, ie a base for our stay within a safe location. We walked to restaurants in the evenings without any problems whatsoever. Hotel was certainly acceptable. Staff very helpful. Breakfast overpriced at 12 euros per […] person, but Nice is an expensive city. Would we recommend this hotel to friends, yes. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, average hotel"
The location is great -- not too far from the train station or the main attractions. It's easy to find and right off the main street. There was a large supermarket directly across the street, which was convenient. The room was not well cleaned on check in. There was hair on one of the bath towels and some bandaid piece of garbage on the carpet still. […] The toilet did have the 'sanitized' guarantee strip though and the cups were wrapped disposable ones, so those were good. The wifi was free but weak. The courtesy luggage hold was really nice to have. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Good convenient location mid way between railway station and promenade. Some tram/ traffic noise but not too bad. We had a standard double but beds not the most comfortable though and no comfy chair to sit on either. Self-service breakfast with good selection of items. Friendly staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great position on main boulevard, near tram, train station and airport bus. Short walk to old town. Our room had scaffolding up so couldn't open window/curtains - presumably why we had a cheap rate - would not have been ideal if it had been warmer weather. Showerhead was a bit leaky. Otherwise all was excellent. Would definitely stay again at same […] price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
