Very nicely renovated 1910 building on a quiet street south of train terminal. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great base for the Colosieum"
This place was awesome. Its on a noisy street but other than that it was great. i was very worried after buying it as a secret deal and then saw the reviews. i don't know what those people were talking about. It is definately a 3 star hotel. The most comfortable bed we had during our entire 2 1/2 week trip. Great location near the Colosieum. The walk […] from the train station was a little scary at night, but not too far. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spring in Roma"
Super but pretty far away from everything. Had to take cabs. Bus system was way too confusing for those who do not speak italian.Genuine Expedia guest review
Two-three long blocks from Marconi metro station. Neighborhood is a little dead at night. Traffic noise keeps you up at night, so make sure you bring earplugs if you stay here. Front desk is helpful and trustworthy for advice on dining and transportation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel close to antique room"
Very nice Staff.when I asked about tea facilities they gave me a kettle.the porter guided me to the sights of rome and special sights and restaurants, and took a lot of time .Genuine Expedia guest review
We visited twice within one week punctuated by a trip to Pompei. The staff were very helpful and even looked after some luggage that we chose not to take to Pompei. The courtyard, foyer area and dining areas are nice. Our first room was small however the second was upstairs and bigger which was much better. A local underground rail station was a relatively […] short walk away whilst the Colisseum was walkable but quite a bit further which was also where the nearest hop on/off bus stop was. It was only a short taxi ride to the main railway station. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A charming, friendly experience"
A short cab ride from Roma Termini train station, the hotel is on a busy street, but the entry is a lovely garden with outdoor furniture and water features that provide a wonderful oasis of calm after a busy day exploring Rome. There are many tourist highlights within walking distance and tour buses also pick up from the hotel. Excellent breakfast and […] really friendly, helpful staff. Small rooms and road noise may be an issue depending on your room's location - but the trade off is very reasonable pricing and the garden setting. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Close to everything in Rome, all walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel it was far enough away from the city centre that (apart from road noise) the area was quiet at night. Staff were really friendly and helpful whenever we had a question. There was a fantastic take away pizza place just round the corner from the hotel and we were able to sit out in the hotel garden and eat our dinner on […] a couple of evenings which was nice. We also found there were several restaurants within easy walking distance all of whom served good food at reasonable prices. With the metro, colosseum and termini station just short walks away everything was reached easily, we found this hotel to be an ideal base for a short break in Rome. "Good location in quiet but accessible spot"
well situated within walking distance of collosseum and surroundings. Authentic roman style looking hotel with lovely interior. decent buffet continental style breakfast with the bonus of scrambled eggs and bacon. room was very clean and light and bright with a contemporary yet traditional feel, really nice mixture and well thought out with unusual […] impressive artwork on the walls. Use the nearby and easy to understand metro station to get around , cheap and convenient, manzoni metro station is a 5-10 minute walk and most of the main attractions once you arrive at the appropriate station are never more than a 15 minute walk away ( and i walk with a stick ). "good position, nice area"
thought hotel was great, a bit quirky, as good in real life as in the pictures, in fact the breakfast area was nicer than it looked. Hotel staff were generally very good, 2 of the 3 we dealt with were very friendly & helpful, other one a bit surly! room really lovely, great shower. bed in 2nd room was a bit small for 2 teenagers, bit disappointed with […] that, as I did book and pay for 4 adults. "Very poor hotel. It can not be 4 * at all."
We went Roma for honeymoon . First hotel made me disappointed . It's says 4 * star hotel . It should be no star at all . I stayed many 4 star hotel around Europe bit was the worst hotel according the money I payed . Staff is very rode . Breakfast is very poor. No restaurant , pub inside the hotel. If the room price 60 eur per night it's ok but we paid […] over 100 eur. I'm sure I can find better hote with this price. I don't wanna give any stare. It's like normal B&B . "VERY UNIQUE HOTEL WITH BEAUTIFUL GARDEN AREA"
I booked our vacation to Italy online through Expedia and I am pleasantly surprised with this hotel and the organization. All went very smoothly. I am impressed and will continue to use Expedia for future travel!Genuine Expedia guest review
I had a small and basic room but a reasonable price. This hotel is close to the major bus routes and not far from the metro so a good launch pad to visit Rome for sensible money. Staff very friendly and kind. All you could want for a short city break without frills, although there was a mini bar, wi-fi and access to the internet in the lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pretty, quirky small hotel"
Hotel was fine - especially if you like smaller slighty different hotels, room clean and comfortable, shower good, breakfast good. Reception staff could have been more helpful!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not far from most places"
Easy to get to and from. No more than 15 minutes walk from the Coliseum and Forum. 25 from the Vatican by foot and Metro, very easy to use. Easy City to get around, Although very busy even by London standards, mind you had we aviod 2 beatifications and the biggest pilgrimage since Moses, it might have been a little quieterGenuine Expedia guest review
"Ok hotel, but nothing special"
Got there late at night, very welcoming at reception. Hotel room was ok but nothing special, no tea making facilities (always a mark down in my book), double bed which was comfortable all be it a bit lumpy. Bathroom had shower and toilet. My main gripes were to do with the the shower cubical. The shower holder was broken so you had to hold the shower […] head when you wanted a shower which was fine apart from when you needed 2 hands. The bathroom tiles were dirty and black with mould on a few of them. The bedroom itself was clean, just the bathroom that needed a bit of work. The hotels breakfast was good including scrambled eggs and bacon if you wanted. Just get there before 9.15 (breakfast ends at 10) as things start to run out by this point (such as bread for toast) and they don't get replaced. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Emona, 3 nights stay"
Having arrived mid afternoon, we checked in without any fuss but were told about the 'city tax' which costs 2-3 euros per person per night depending on your rated hotel. This wasn't explained to us upon booking but maybe that's our fault for not checking. The staff were friendly enough, ordering taxis when needed and even phoning a shop to see if it […] was open. The hotel class itself as 4 star but personally I think it's a 3.5 tops. Breakfast is a continental style but they did put on bacon and eggs too which is always nice. Note, there are no local shopping, bars and only one restaurant so a trip on the metro is needed, but then, the whole city is spread out over a few miles squared. If you intend to see the sights, always always always get a guide and if you find one called Alex with an English accent, he's brilliant Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, good location for metro."
We found the hotel staff to be courteous. Hotel & room was clean. Breakfast was more than adequate with continental & hot options, plenty of choice & all very fresh. Some mornings we arrived down later for breakfast but we found that the supply of food was always replenished.Genuine Expedia guest review
definitely not a 4* hotel but as for Rome and the price it was all good. Clean and much more than expected for £30/per night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Do not stay here! This is a 2 star B&B"
This is a 2 star B&B by North American standards. Rooms are tiny, beds are hard, comforters are padded bedskirts. We had plumbing issues in our room and water started dripping from the ceiling when the toilet flushed, water dripped onto lighting fixture. Room A/C also didn't work. We switched rooms and this room the hot water didn't work. Breakfast […] was below standard European breakfast. The juices had flies floating in them. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Comfortable hotel, good location"
The hotel is not far from the main centre of Rome, in a quiet pleasant area which is a soothing relief after a day of sightseeing. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. By the time I left I was already starting to think about when I might return. It looks good too - the winding path through fountains and trees, and inside there is a beautiful mixture […] of furnishing and pictures. The breakfast buffet is very good, with plenty to choose from. It is easy to get around by walking everywhere or, when you are completely exhausted, the Metro (Manzoni station, line A) is not far away and there are several buses and trams that stop nearby, at Porta Maggiore. "Mixture of really nice and somewhat scruffy"
Wonderfully helpful desk and breakfast staff. Lovely lobby and tranquil outside garden area to have wine or nice breakfast. Room surface cleaned each day but walls were very scuffed and shower needed regrouting. Room small but don't know if small rooms are usual in Rome. Metro 5 mins away had liftGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quaint hotel away from the city"
The hotel is a little away from the main attractions in the city but we didnt mind the short train ride or easy stroll (20 mins to city centre) each day. Hotel staff was friendly and approachable. The beds weren't very comfortable, we could feel the springs. Other than that we had a lovely time at the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quirky hotel near metro station"
Hotel is close to a metro station so easy to get around. Decor slightly quirky but clean and comfortable enough.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Little Hotel. No Real Complaints."
We got this hotel via Expedia unpublished hotel deal. We stayed here 3 nights and had 2 rooms booked. From the many negative review on TripAdvisor, we expected much worse. In reality this is a nice little hotel within walking distance to the metro and close to all of Rome's important attractions. I think the benefits of staying at this hotel more than […] outweigh the drawbacks. I do feel that a renovation, especially to the furnishings, would go a long way. The hotel is not quite on par with North American standards but no major complaints really. + Amazing buffet breakfast. Best we had in a European hotel. Eggs, toast, bacon, selection of salami, yogurts, freshly squeezed juices, and even bocconcini salad! This definitely made our stay! + The courtyard is just beautiful with the fountain and all the flowers. Makes for a very pleasant evening just sitting around with a bottle of red. + Useful and attentive staff. + Free for use computer downstairs with fast internet. + 5-10 minute walk to metro station. + Low price relative to many other hotels in the area. + Clean + Nice lobby and overall atmosphere - Small rooms - Old squeaky furniture, although the bed was still pretty comfy - A/C in one of the rooms did not work (trust me you want A/C in the summer) - Room safe is a joke (it's bolted to a removable shelf) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Lovely hotel, a bit out of the way but close enough on tram line to main train station/metro. Decent breakfast spread, charming rooms (bit dated decor, but clean). Two beds in a room are pushed together. Small, typical European shower. Clean hotel, good staff. A bit pricey but that's Rome. Fine for longer stays, couples, families etc. Beautiful setting, […] nice garden/courtyard. Safe area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very nice boutique style hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond on several occasions to help us. Breakfast was very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
There was little water pressure in the shower making showering very difficult. This improved drastically on the last day and we were told that there had been a fault in the shower for the first 3 days of our stay. The hotel also did not provide tea and coffee making facilities or an iron. Whilst we were satisfied with the hotel in all other respects […] we do not believe that it was of the standard of a 4 star hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pleased with the staff, disappointed with the room"
I thought the service was fantastic - very knowledgeable and helpful owner/staff - but, the room I had was not comfortable, the floors were dirty, the electric blind did not work, so I had street lights beaming into my room all night, and the shower not only didn't drain, but the showerhead was broken. So, maybe it was just that room...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic but a good location"
The room was pretty basic and a little worn out. The bathroom wasn't super clean. That said there was AC, its in a pretty great location and the wifi was free. About a 20 - 30 min walk from the main train station and 10 minutes from the metro. You can easily walk to the colosseum in 25 minutes.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Emona Aquaeductus May 13"
We stayed at this hotel in May 2013 for a birthday weekend. It is true what people say that the double rooms are generally small but they are adequate and very clean. The bedroom was ensuite, the breakfast was a basic self serve continental but perfect for a base to explore Rome. I would recommend this as a reasonably priced bed and breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"ideal for a night or two"
Overall a nice hotel, rooms a bit small and noisy, but decor of hotel nice, very art-deco,breakfast was good, Andreas on the front desk very helpful, about a ten minute walk to collesuem, 5 minutes to subway, 10 to rail way station. overall good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, arty stuff and teapots"
Perfect location for visiting Rome - affordable enough for us and close enough to the city centre to walk in. Friendly, helpful staff who helped us with our orientation, a bit of Italian. There were even tea pots available for us English types at breakfast!! Loads of interesting artwork all over the place!Genuine Expedia guest review

"We had a very enjoyable time in Rome."
The hotel was very pleasant with a very good ambiance. And breakfast. The beds were a bit old and creaky. There were very good places to eat in the neibourhood. We would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not a bad place for the low price, but just OK. Well connected by tram and bus.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great hotel for a couple"
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The only thing we didn' enjoy very much was the breakfast it became very boring as it was the same items every day! Also as someone who hates the taste and smell of eggs it put me off having bacon because it was in the same tray as the egg. Also we had to use a towel on the outside floor in the bathroom because […] the silicone sealant had perished! Despite these things we had a very enjoyable week and would stay at this hotel again! "Quaint but no morning tea"
The hotel was a little of the beaten track from the termini and a direct walk took in some unsavoury areas with active prostitutes on corners. I would recommend metro to Manzoni then walk down Quintino to Statilla. Also not many eateries in location of hotel, again walk to Manzoni metro area to find reasonable eateries. There was no tea / coffee making […] facilities in the room which as a 4* rating should have been the norm. Breakfast buffet adequate, enough choice to sustain us for a days sightseeing. On the whole a very unusual and quaint hotel and would return to use again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
