Wingate by Wyndham - Atlanta Buford - Buford

The staff was friendly and professional; however, I felt the room could have been cleaner. The baseboards had been removed and there was dust on the floor. The air conditioner vent had a squeak in the fan that keep me up most of the night. I do not think I would recommend this hotel.

The only issue I had was with the condition of the room. It had been freshly painted and therefore there was paint spray on the carpet. They had not yet replaced the carpet. I am not sure if it was fromteh paint or from the old carpet but the room did not smell good.

All members of the front desk staff that we encountered were super nice and helpful. Check in and out was easy and fast and the room was comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed the continental breakfast and thought it had good offerings. The hotel overall was clean and in good condition. The staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. Our main concern was the quality of the bathroom. The sink in our bathroom drained slowly. When we gave the kids a bath in the tub, there were flecks of caulking that kept floating even after we rinsed the tub a couple of times. Wingate is quickly becoming my favorite hotel chain. Every stay has been nearly perfect. This location by the Mall of Georgia is convenient, surrounded by restaurants and stores, yet quiet. It's right by I-85, but we never heard a sound from the outside while in our room. The rooms are larger than most competing hotel chains and our room was spotless, […] along with the rest of the hotel. I took my family with me on an overnight business trip and the four of us had plenty of room. The pool area was clean and the indoor pool was larger than most hotel pools in this class. The breakfast was a little better than the standard hotel breakfast - eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, bagels, etc., plus Belgian waffles. The staff members were always friendly and helpful when we spoke to them. The only complaint that I had was that the bed was a little on the firm side, but considering everything else the Wingate offers, it's a minor point. Read more

It was a nice, comfortable hotel and I loved it but we were there for 3 nights and the elevators were out of order the whole time we were there and the vending machine on our floor was out of order the whole time we were there and the toilet in our room would not flush properly. I still would stay there again!

I needed the rest and booked an overnight stay. It was wonderful. The bed felt comfortable, the room was clean, the TV worked, and it was quiet. I always stay at the top floor. The only surprise was a millipede bug in the bathroom after the harsh rain. Otherwise, it was worth the money.
