Stayed at the Econo Lodge for two nights during a recent stay in Calgary. The hotel was an older building, but the rooms were clean and actually very quiet considering that the hotel was located right on McLeod Trail. It was very conveniently located for everything we were doing in SW and SE Calgary and getting to downtown was very easy. The only think I was a bit disappointed in was the state of the pool area and the exercise room. The exercise facility was very small with only three pieces of equipment, one of which..the recumbent bike was broken. The jacuzzi hot tub was only luke warm, but this may have been because it wasn't used much and was off for a long period of time. It took quite a while to warm up and never did get really hot. The continental breakfast was just the basic fare, although not much different from what is offered in most other budget hotels. All in all we had a pleasant two day stay in this hotel and considering the lower cost of our room, we would certainly stay here again in the future.

The holet is perfect if you are just planning to sleep in the euro room. TV has no real channels for viewing. other then these 2 comment it is perfect

"close to restaurants. shopping and airport"
Great hotel. Appreciated the M/W and bar fridge and finally good lighting in the bathroom. Only complaint is the use of plastic utensils and paper plates etc at breakfast. The three of us were pleased with every aspect of our stay at Days Inn.The only thing we might comment on was that we couldn't go into the hot tub/pool after 10 p.m. Could it possibly stay open til 11 pm?? By adding one grab bar in the shower you should not be able to consider a room handicap accessible. Try sitting in a wheelchair or scooter and moving about the room. Next pretend you have limited mobility and try and get yourself into the shower over the side of the tub. "It does the job"

Easy to find, close to the zoo and a number of restaurants. McDonalds and a Tim Hortons in the same lot was a bonus. Waterslide was a great hit and chlorine level was very good, ran out of towels at the pool but otherwise a great deal. Front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. "Water temperature fluctuation and door to room"
When one of us had a shower the water would change from hot to cold and back to hot without any reason. No one in our room turned on the water. When I asked at the front desk I was told that this is just the way it was at this hotel. I travel for business lots and stay in a variety of hotels. The hotel was located pretty close to the airport and there was fast food right next door which was convenient. The kids liked the pool and slide. My only complaint would be the service. A very nice welcome, good arranged shuttle from the airport (complementary). Staff was very helpfull and nice, breakfast was not exagerated, but more than ok.
