      The service that we received at the Magnolia Hotel was great. The staff was very accommodating and their customer service is top rate. The room was super comfortable and really quiet for being a downtown hotel. The breakfasts were o.k. and I would strongly suggest choosing a restaurant outside the hotel for dinner.

      Our family of 4 (including two children under 5) plus a Grandma and Uncle stayed at the Parkside for three nights while visiting Victoria. We had a two bedroom suite. It doesn't get more comfortable than this place. Beautiful full kitchen, large dining area, balcony, two beautiful bathrooms, gas fireplaces in master bedroom and living room. Beautiful lobby and pool as well. We loved it! Our one and only complaint is that the laundry facility in the room was a combined washer/dryer. It took us several attempts to figure out how to use it and then after trying to dry a load of clothes for 2 days, we finally gave up. We also read every page of the lengthy instruction manual and still didn't get it. If you have a baby like us and need to wash clothes, you'll probably have to hang dry them unless our machine was broken or we just couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong. Despite that we will stay here again for sure! Awesome place.

      One of the nicest suites we've ever stayed in. Extremely comfortable bed. Exquisite living room / fireplace. True full size kitchen and even a half bath! We would absolutely stay there again!

    This hotel is clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool is heated. The restaurant had a huge menu to choose from and was reasonably priced.Front desk... service was good, and there was plenty of parking. It's just a 15 minute drive to Victoria airport.     Perfect hotel for a family on a budget. Kids used the heated pool daily and loved it. Front desk provided towels for the pool. Location was great! Right off Highway 17 and an easy drive from ferries, downtown Victoria, Butchart Gardens and Sidney. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Had one issue with guests in room next door being very loud […] at 11 pm and complained to the front desk. The matter was taken care of very quickly and I was really pleased at their response. The a/c in the room was fairly loud when trying to sleep and the beds were a bit firm for my taste but not huge issues. I was the only one in my party of 5 who had issues with the comfort of the beds. Onsite parking was plentiful and access was great for the member of our party who was using a walker/wheelchair.     Comfortable stay the rooms are clean and not too warm. The restaurant has great food. Esay access to Victoria or the airport. Try to get a room on the back side of the hotel the highway can hear the road noise on the front of the hotel. We will use HJ again on our next trip to Victoria.

    Friendly, helpful staff both at hotel and adjoining Lakes restaurant. Clean comfortable room with kitchenette and fridge. Friendly maintenance man arrived immediately upon reporting problem with room heater. Restaurant manager offered free dessert because of wait for main meal on particularly busy evening.     This was a very good value hotel. Very clean and presentable, the pool and spa were really enjoyed by our children. The Grill was a little bit pricey but the food was good. Convenient location near to both Schwartz Bay and Victoria, but best served by a car. One step up from many other motels. Would recommend it for several nights stay
