I only stayed for one night in November, but the staff were very nice and very helpful, and the room was very clean. I received a phone call and was allowed to check out at noon when I forgot that daylight savings wasn't until 2AM Sunday.

The AmericInn is a great place for a quick getaway weekend. It was conveniently located near Rehobeth, Lewes, outlets, etc. and sits back off route 1, so you don't hear traffic. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, breakfast choices were nice.

We chose this location to go to the Nascar race in Dover. We had never been in this area for a vacation before and we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean and in a quiet location, considering the traffic on route 1. There were plenty of restaurants in the vacinity, but we really loved the beach area and the boardwalk, which was close […] by. We even spent a day driving to Ocean City, MD. Very nice accomodations. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a more "Home Like" feel to it, which we particularly enjoyed as well as breakfast items being available at 6:00am. Conveniently located off of US 1.

My husband, little boy, and I stayed Sept 18 and 19 so it was a quiet off-season time. The staff was friendly. It had a homely feel to it, very cozy and clean. The indoor pool and hot tub were a plus and great price too.

I loved the fact that I could enjoy my vacation with my puppy. They were very accommodating and the place was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very informative. We were close to the outlets and not far from the beach. I had a wonderful time and I will go back again next year for sure :-)

I enjoyed the continental breakfast as it was more than muffins and donuts. They had waffles and omelets too! The room was clean, it was off the main road so it was quiet and it was super close enough to the beach - about a 5-7 minute drive to the beach!

we got there earlier than expected and we tried to check in. Rose was a super nice lady and we were allowed to check in eariler than normal if we were willing to take a room on the 2nd floor. (the hotel has no elevators) we were fine with that as we can always use the exercise, plus as you might have read on other reviews, they do allow dogs and reserve […] that to the first floor which is fine. we didn't have one so it didn't matter to us. we had read a review about the pillows being uncomfy and my husband agreed, it didn't bother me. The pool room was open til 12 am. which was nice as we liked to swim/whirlpool when we got back from whatever we were doing, so we took advantage of that. the breakfast was fine, coffee, tea, little bagels and muffins, oatmeal, cereal, waffle maker, juice..it had the basics. which was fine for us as it saved us from spending money going out everyday for breakfast. all and all the place was good for what we needed, not far from the beach or shopping. if we wanted could have walked to the mini golf. This hotel is convenient to the transit to the beach. The staff were very good and helpful. There was a slight wetness on the carpet in the room; the pool was nice but the sauna was broken and had been for some time. We liked the coffee (better than most!!) and the continental breakfast. We'd stay there again.

The first floor allows for dogs. I have a sinus condition and the room originally given to me, I can smell an odor which was not acceptable to me. The reception happily reassigned a room on the second room which was great.

I was very happy with the overall apperance of the hotel and surrounding neighborhood. I was not pleased with the odor in the room that I was assigned. I found out that the hotel is pet friendly and it made sense why my room smelled like wet dog. For a motel type property that accepts pets: room, grounds and overall was very clean. Housekeepers are friendly. Property tries to promote being "green" (ie. do not change towels every day but every other day, have recycle cans in rooms). I thought the front desk staff was a little condescending and indifferent.

Very disappointing and I would never stay there again. When you see a cockroach run across the floor of the main entrance it is concerning. The continental breakfast was also disappointing. The apples were sitting there for days and actually the bottom ones were moldy.

shower rack was not completely attached to wall so every time we used the shower, the floor got wet. I forgot to mention it to the front desk. The hotel is on airport road so not really good for walking around.

The rooms were clean, quiet and functional. Staff was friendly and competent. Could have used a bit more space for the complementary breakfast area, as it was very crowded. Other than the waffle maker, breakfast was basic. There is no elevator for 2nd floor access.

Very nice place to stay. Would stay again. Staff was nice, rooms were clean, pool & hot tub were nice additions. Although we didn't have a pet, it is a dog friendly hotel and I think that's great for those that travel with pets.

The front desk staff greeting me with no eye contact and a "please sit down" while on the phone for 15+ minutes. After that, I was treated rudely by another staff member who told another guest that I was in the lobby first but "for some reason, he decided to sit down until now." I couldn't explain my case because he was in a rush to process at least […] 4 other parties waiting to be checked in. I received no explanation or apology for this inconvenience. As for the room, it was clean but more humid (uncomfortable for some of my family) than the rest of the hotel. Besides the front desk, the rest of the staff were friendly and courteous. Read more

Came for a weekend at the beach, and the hotel was reasonably priced. The room was decent, but really only there to sleep, so it didn't have to be luxury. Would recommend to people who just need a place to crash, but want someplace with decent amenities. Not far from the beach, but you will have to deal with beach traffic in order to get there.

The hotel is nonsmoking but one of the two rooms we had smelled of smoke. The front desk was responsive and quickly changed our room. The servcie was very good as they were able to get us adjacent rooms on the first floor despite the hotel being pretty full. The free morning breakfast is good with waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereals, bagels, muffins, […] etc. The location is right off state rt. 1, but you have to drive about 2 miles to a good beach access point. There are plenty of restaurants and activities nearby. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tube area. the pool is 3 ft. to 5 ft. deep and the hot tube is rather large. Read more

It was a nice stay. Everyone (Staff) was very delightful to deal with. The Continental Breakfast was on the weak side. No high speed internet in rooms only one computer in the lobby.
