There's nothing obviously wrong with the City Guest House. It's close to a metro stop, but we probably wouldn't go back simply because we found places that were closer to the main sites and not 7 stops down the red line.

three night in Rome is a good experience. it's about 5-7 minutes walk to subway line A. There are some restaurants on the streets. wifi is free and my package did not include breakfast. the room/environment is not perfect, but it is good.

Reasonable hotel just a short walk from access to the Rome Metro. Rooms are in good condition, and the neighborhood is quiet. There is an excellent seafood restaurant nearby (Trattoria Crudo, Cotto e Mangiato) that has a very interesting and reasonably-priced mostly-raw fixed price menu.

I stayed here for 4 nights with friends for Spring Break, and despite being a little on the pricey side it was a pleasant stay. The lady that was frequently at the desk who was always ensuring that I my stay was going well made sure that all my needs were met. She helped me find things to see once I had exhausted all the touristy things, and she went […] out of her way to make sure I was more than happy. Far away from old town Rome, easy to reach by subway, excellent resturant at the next door, beds OK, breakfast OK, clean, quiet. We were in five, my wife and I plus thre children. The place looks like having been adapted. Watch the steps in the middle of the rooms.

The hotel staff was lovely and very helpful and spoke English which was a blessing, especially at the end of the day when my Italian was harder to remember! It was a little tricky to find the first day. We went a little too far down the main road. Later we found the little alley that was a direct line to the Metro and bus stop. Even though there was […] no comfy seating in the room, there was a loveseat just outside our door and a larger seating area on our floor. Also, the dining area for breakfast was a solarium on the top floor which was open for guest use all day and throughout the evening. Plenty of books in different languages available in the seating areas and the solarium. The breakfast buffet always had a nice selection and it was never so crowded that we felt we had to rush. There were even a couple loveseats with coffee tables in the solarium so you could spread out your map and plan your day while enjoying that last cup of coffee or tea. The computer in the lobby was also helpful and the staff helped us with anything that needed printed. There was a supermarket in a little mall between the Metro station and the hotel so it was convenient to pick up things on the way to and form the hotel. A small fruit market and several casual and carry out restaurants were also nearby. Read more

we like spending our vacation with local people. this location was exactly what we expected. hotel is close to Metro but not easy to locate unless you use Google maps & use the little man virtual tour thru the streets. local area was safe, 3 supermarkets near, exensive pizza restaurant next door, many other places to eat nearby.

You pretty much get what you pay for, but have to be ready to sacrifice 30' min travel to and from the center each way... The rooms are quite noisy because of the lack of soundinsulation to the corridor...

CIty Guest House is located in the outer area of Rome but it is very close to the metro (about a 2 min walk) and you can take this route all the way to the city center, it will about 20 to 30 minutes by subway to get to the tourist sites but it is faster than the bus. The area around the hotel offers various shops, restaurants and an excellent fresh […] market within walking distance. If you are looking to mingle with real Italians and not tourists, this is your spot. There are lots of shopping areas and hidden gems around the neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and helpful, if you need anything let them know, the hotel also offers free internet access (one computer in the lobby, so you will have to share with the other guests) and for 5 Euros, you can eat breakfast on the top floor. The only bad things are the plumbing and the AC, the plumbing took some time to drain and at times I thought the shower was backing up but the drain is real slow and the AC does not get cool enough to relieve you after being out in the hot Roman sun all day. If you are looking for a good hotel with comfy beds and a chance to explore another side of Rome then this is the hotel for you. Read more

We might have got the best room of the building as it was at the top floor and we had a big balcony. Staff are helpful. Room is clean and breakfast is good. Will stay again. There is a very good pizza restaurant nearby (NOT the one next to the building). Neighbourhood is quiet and safe.

The hotel rooms had too much discrepancies between them, our friends room was decent. Ours had damaged parquet, leaking water cistern, no heating, two separate beds instead of a double, a pre entry door saying kitchen and finally very thin walls. We chose this location as it was out of town and hence away from the more expensive tourist areas, and it turned out to be a good choice. The hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful, giving us useful advice on a public transport strike and how to best get around. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy. We had problems with the aircon, but the staff […] fixed that within 24 hrs. The local resturants and bars are MUCH cheaper than in the centre of Rome, working at about 1/2 the price. Getting into the centre was easy. The Metro is only about 200m from the hotel and we used a 5 day ticket for all our travel. The trains run about every 5 mins and are very clean and fast, by far the easiest way to get around. Overall this was a very good, basic hotel. i'd certainly recommend it to anyone planning on spending most of their time visiting Rome, but who wants a clean and cheap place to sleep. Read more

Bagno e camera da letto grandi e puliti (magari il pavimento necessitava di una ulteriore passata) ma nel complesso e' soddisfacente. Il televisore non andava (ma a me non importa, non l'ho nemmeno a casa) e l'arredamnto e' essenziale ma piu' che sufficiente. La chambre était agréable bien que le ménage ne soit pas toujours fait correctement. Le personnel de l'hotel était disponible. La situation de l'hotel a coté d'une ligne de métro était pratique pour les déplacements en revanche le déplacement pour atteindre le centre de Rome était assez long environ 35 minutes.

O hotel fica localizado próximo ao metrô Numídio Quadrato, a 20 minutos dos principais pontos turísticos de Roma. O hotel é reformado e a limpeza é muito boa. A região onde o hotel está localizado é muito tranquila, conseguimos caminhar à noite com tranquilidade e tem uma ótima pizzaria na rua de trás do hotel. As atendentes da recepção são muito simpáticas […] e prestativas. Os pontos fracos do hotel foram: - o quarto em que ficamos não tinha frigobar; - o café da manhã não estava incluído no preço e custava 5 euros por pessoa/dia. Hotel très mal indiqué et donc vraiment difficile à trouver ! Même s'il se trouve à 20 minutes en métro du centre de Rome, d'un point de vue rapport qualité/pris, ce fut un bon compromis. D'autre attention aux sensibles au bruit, immeuble très mal isolé (on entend les voisins éternuer.....) Nous avons dû nous plaindre la première nuit, car réveillés […] plusieurs fois en pleine nuit par des voisins irrespectueux.. Enfin pour les français ne parlant ni anglais ni italien, seule une employée est française, sinon vous ne pourrez pas vous faire comprendre. Petit déjeuner à 5 euros par personne, correct et fourni sans plus. Read more

Il City Guest House di Roma è ottimamente posizionato sia per chi arriva senza mezzo proprio (Metro A a meno di 200 metri) che con l'auto (parcheggio libero abbastanza facile). Albergo molto comodo senza fronzoli inutili e costosi: camere ampie con tutto il necessario, bagni puliti e ben attrezzati, ottima prima colazione e, inoltre, due utilissime […] macchine self-service funzionanti 24/24. Posizione dell' albergo molto comodo x prendere i mezzi . Il quartiere è un po' sporco e impossible trovare parcheggio . Noi abbiamo lasciato nostro auto nel parcheggio del guest house ( una rampa x entrare nei garage sotto l'edificio) ma tutto sommato almeno fuori dalla strada. L' albergo averebbe bisogno di un rinfrescata con pittura e un po' di arredamento […] in più. Non si sa dove riporre oggetti in bagno o la valigia in camera. E' molto comodo avere internet disponible e in reception sono molto gentili x qualsiasi cosa. L'albergo e' molto pulito nelle camere e bagni. O hotel fica bem proximo ao metro, mas um pouco afastado do centro e consequentemente dos pontos turisticos. Mas isso depende do que cada um busca. Nao leva mais do que 15 minutos do centro (de metro). O Hotel é bem limpo, com cama bem confortavel. Quarto é espaçoso e as recepcionista muita simpaticas e educadas. Existe um restaurante bem tipico Italiano, […] nao muito frequentado por turistas. O nome do dono é Jean Carlo.
