The hotel and staff are wonderful and we will definitely stay there on our next visit to Barcelona! The room was very clean and neat and the daily maid service was exceptional. The front desk staff was very professional and courteous. Wi-Fi in the room was excellent. Walking out of the hotel and looking up at the Cathederal every morning was surreal. Beautiful hotel and wonderful location!

The hotel was clean and neat, the staff very helpful, and the bathroom was great. We also found the price fair and reasonable. The view out of the back of the hotel was not the best- apartment back porches and dirty laundry, so keep the curtains closed.

Stayed for a five night family vacation. Our room for three was very nice with a king bed and sofa bed. Efficiency kitchen with dishes and silverware and cookware. Compact refrigerator. Very well located in Eixample neighborhood one block from metro station. Easy walk to many restaurants and the Passieg Gracia or upper part of the Rambla Cataluna. However the BEST was the service of the front desk. Whatever the request they were ceaseless in their efforts to please and accommodate. Information, directions, recommendations for eating and transportation, ticketing. The staff could not do enough for us. This is service that is rare to find in the amenities industry: a true personal touch. My family can heartily recommend the Acacia Suites for a Barcelona vacation. The only negative for some is that it is not located directly on Plaza Cataluna or the Rambla but if you want a quieter neighborhood, with a local feel it is a very nice place.

"Great if you are in transit through Barcelona"
My wife and I stayed here for one night before leaving on a cruise out of Barcelona the following day. For starters, we booked the room on large part due to the shuttle service offered to/from the airport as well as the cruise port. Upon arriving we were unable to locate the shuttle phone or anyone who knew where it could be. After an unsuccessful hour […] long search around the airport we gave in to jet lag and exhaustion and just got a taxi. With that being said we arrived at the hotel, had very courteous service while checking in and were very satisfied with our room comfort. It is about a 10 min walk to the metro station and there are several small markets within a block of the hotel. A few things to know, however, are that if you are walking back to the hotel from the metro after dark it is seems a little sketchy. Also, not that we needed it, but don't expect a lot of tourist type restaurants nearby. It is a residential and industrial area so other than small bars and cafes, that's about it. The other thing is the heating/cooling system in the room. No matter what we set the thermostat to, the temp never changed. It is nice enough to have the window open so we didn't have any problem but had it been warmer out it could have gotten uncomfortable. For someone who is just needing a room for an overnight stay in BCN, I would recommend this hotel. Read more

They speak English and are very helpful if you need a hotel near the airport for a one night fly in fly out then go. Prices are reasonable and shuttle is very good.

The stay at this convenient hotel was very pleasant , with a key ingredient being the free airport van shuttle service for pick up and return. The shuttle ran every 30 min from 4:45 am to midnight. For evening arrivals or early am departures nothing beats this excellent hotel . It is also only a 5-10 min walk from the rail station and a 2 euro fare […] into the Barcelona central station and its complete metro connections. really really awesome hotel! the hotel is really ballin. there's not really any restuarants or anything near the hotel. but super close to a train station. they don't give you shampoo, cond, or soap in the bathroom. but 2 free waters, a coke, and a fanta in the mini bar. front desk workers were all fluent in english.

"First Class Hotel"
Excellent hotel. Everything was first rate. One minor concern; coffee, juice and small breakfast roll were available at no cost for early morning travelers but no one told us. A 5:15 shuttle is more comfortable with a cup of coffee especially since nothing was open at that time of morning. Even so, this hotel is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

We booked for a combination of reasons that included proximity to the airport, price, and free transportation to and from airport. Upon arrival and calling, we were picked up in a reasonable amount of time and on our return to the airport the next day, service was good. Do make sure you put your name in early to make sure you can get a space on the […] shuttle as sometimes it can be full and you will need to wait until they return from the airport. Front desk service was good and efficient. Upon entering our room, we were hit with a heat wave!! Somebody had the heat turned up so high we were miserable. No matter what setting you had the heat/cooking on, it pumped out hot air. My guess is because it was winter, they had turned off their air conditioning. But had no back up system in case a room got too hot. It's very likely all rooms are like this and not just the one we had. So be warned, if it happens to get a little warm outside, or if someone turns up the heat in the room when they leave-you will suffer!! I had to open our door and window hoping the small cross breeze would cool the place down. It took until around 4 am. The room was good and clean, shower good, and if it had not been for the hot room, it would have been a good stay. The surrounding area had no restaurants, shops, or bars. You were pretty much in a commercial area void of any place to eat other than the grossly over priced hotel restaurant. You think maybe they know you are stuck there and have no where else to go? But until they can give adequate reason for the room being so hot and not being able to cool it down; I would not stay here again. Read more

I loved this hotel. The rooms were great. The bed extremely comfortable. And the food fantastic. For the price is was a BARGAIN. The only issue I had was the heat, which took me a while to figure out how to turn off and the room was an oven for a while. We booked this hotel close to the airport for an early departure the next day. The was a free shuttle to the airport provided by the hotel which was a 20 euro saving. The hotel was very nice but the room was rather hot even with the heating turned off. Thankfully there was a window that opened. If my husband and I ever visit spain again, we will consider staying at this hotel. First, they speak good english and is very helpful and friendly. Secondly, the breakfast buffet is very good with a great selection of hot and cold items. Close to the train station that took you straight into town after 2 stops! Coming back in the dark, I did feel safe even walking by myself. The staff are amazing and always there to help you. The room was clean. The only down part is that there are no restaurants near by that I could see, but the hotel does offer some food. We really liked this hotel and appreciated the service very much. They were much nicer and helpful than the service we received in our previous hotel in Sevilla. The front desk was nice, the hotel bartender was courteous and our room was very clean and nice. We took the train to downtown Barcelona which was quite easy and a reasonable cab back. Not much going on close to the hotel, but fairly close to the airport and convenient for the Fira 2 expo. Make sure you take the phone number of the hotel to arrange pick up. Taxi fare minumum is very high for the short cab ride

The first night we had to wait about 20 minutes in the line to get a room. We got a noisy room across the elevator and the shower head was broken. Next day we changed our room, it was better. "Watch your Bags"
This is a perfect location for early morning flights from Barcelona, as they are very close to the airport and have a free shuttle. Just make sure you have your own luggage when you get out of the shuttle. Terminals are very far apart and there is no paging system in the airport, making it very very difficult, if not impossible to retrieve it.

This is a very good choice as it has a shuttle service and is only 10 minutes from the airport. Rooms are a little small, but it is Europe!

"Really Nice"
A real bargain. Neighborhood was industrial, but reasonably clean. We felt completely safe (even at night). Short walk to train station and you can't beat their trains!! Free shultle to airport was great and really quick.

Very pleased. Room was clean, nice, charming as was the lobby. The restaurant was good, affordable and service was great. It was close to various shops such as a pharmacy and variety store. We also used the baggage scale in the lobby although there was a small fee it saved us from larger fees at the airport. This hotel was close to the metro. About a 5-10mins walk/ or the bus stops 1/2 block from the hotel. It was 4 of us so we took a cab from the ports to hotel about 30-35 euros. (Free shuttle to airport in the morning, we had early flights and the 1st shuttle started @ 4:45am. Great! Saved some money there.) Friendly staff. We arrived early from a cruise […] and they took all of our luggage and store them & was able to checked in within 20mins or so. Love that. (other people from crusie got there before we did). Huge waiting area. The rooms were cute and clean. There was a seprate huge updated bathroom which gave us more privacy. We took the metro back into town to eat. "Fabulous staff, feet from the beach, amazing locn"
This is a family run hotel that is extremely cute and is about as good as location can get. A few feet from the front door is the tourism office, then another few meters is at least a dozen cafes and restaurants, a carousel, vendors, and of course the beach. The entire town is extremely family friendly. Rooms have air conditioning and the beds are amazingly […] comfortable. Check out is at 1030, but they let us leave our luggage in the back room while we wandered the town for about 2 or 3 hours. The hotel is owned by a mother and son and the son knows English and both were extremely friendly. You can take a bus to Perpignan (walk to the bus from the hotel takes about 3 minutes) that is only about 1 euro per person and runs every half hour. This hotel is very nice but to walk from the closest subway is a bit sketchy-industrial in appearance. The neighborhood didn't look very safe; good thing it was daytime. Once we reached the hotel - which was a distance of several blocks but walkable, we were relieved to find that a block farther and there was a nicer neighborhood with good eateries. At 4 stars, thes property is vastly overated. It is in an industrial area good only for acessing BNC airport only. Hotel's restaurant was unattended at dinner time when I was there. /Very small room and "glitzy" decor. Airport shuttle service requires advance reservations; good only for early morning airport access.

"Excellent price & service & free airport shuttle"
This hotel is excellent in every factor and it has shuttle to the airport for free. The only downside is that you have to take a metro to the city and attractions (metro from walking distance, and 3 stops to main square). But the price was good for a 4 star hotel in Barcelona

"Nice if you need the airport close"
We were only there 5 hours, as we chose to stay here when we were traveling en route from Malta to NYC. Rather than spend our 6 hour layover in the airport, we checked into this hotel, got a good night's sleep, and took the free shuttle to the airport the next morning. The night we got it, though, it cost 25 Euros to be transported from the airport […] to this place, about 5 k away. Ridiculous, but the airport taxis charge a flat 20 Euro starting rate. We stayed in the hotel for just one night as a place to stay near the airport between two flights. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very accommodating. Too far from Barcelona City Center. 15 minute taxi ride ($18-25 each way). Train station is about a mile and trains can get very confusing. No restaurants in the area other than the one in the hotel. Rooms are small but comfy. Air conditiong did not work well.

"Near airport"
This hotel is not close to the attractions, but is close to the train station. The transit system is very easy and you can get downtown in less than 20min. They provide free airport transfer, and sometimes transfer to cruise ship. I would not really want to walk back to the hotel from the train station at night though. This is a great hotel for the […] money. Bathroom was all marble and was great. The bed was not very comfortable though. The bar provided good tapas and beer at decent prices. The hotel free shuttle is an excellent benefit. the hotel is within 10-15 minutes from the airport. It has a pretty small pool that could use a good cleaning and a sauna and small workout room. We didn't eat at the hotel but instead at a nearby restaurant that was really good so there are other options in the neighborhood.
