The beds are good. The pool and hot tub very nice and well kept up. Staff helpful. We stay every couple of months and get the room we want. Good place with kids and I saw lots of pooches so must be good for them as well.

Definitely not to the standard of a Red Lion Hotel. Looked and felt older, with an offensive odor of BO in the lobby and all the hallways. The king room was clean, spacious enough, with no odor, but still a little musty. Breakfast was basic and Ok and the staff were friendly. Next time for the same rate I would check out the newer hotel across the highway.

Not bad for price. Comfortable bed, clean enough room, plenty of room for two. The only three things are the TV, old and lousy picture, the door seemed to be made of paper and the coffee maker. Room was quite except for people in the hall. If some one was talking in the hall it sounded the same as if thy were in the room. The coffee maker smelled like plastic. Have had this problem at various hotels lately. Not sure why hotels have gone to these crappy coffeemakers but coffee undrinkable.

The McMinnville, Oregon Red Lion Inn was very comfortable and the service was excellent. The breakfast was a limited but well done. The only reservation I had about the hotel was its location - not being convenient to town services or where I wanted to go.

Good size room, good pool hot tub area. Room lock was not reliable, phone didn't work, didn't have many of the supplies they said they did (e.g., deodorant, comb); nothing was fixed during my stay. Breakfast was fair, front office staff needs to take hospitality classes. McDonalds next door, hotel across from hospital, just down the road from Air Museum, easy access to downtown McMinnville.

Nice rooms - very roomie. Our first room had a leaky window and they gladly moved us to another room. Standard free breakfast and an indoor pool. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use it but it looked nice.

You get what you need from this hotel, but the beds (a friend went with me--we rented two rooms) were lumpy and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. In late summer, the AC ran all night, loudly, but never cooled the room off.

We found this hotel location to be excellent for our visits to relatives in nearby communities, while keeping us close to activities like the air museum and good restaurants. While the hotel isn't right downtown, we found no difficulty in getting there to eat and look around. We took advantage of nearby facilities on the bypass as well, from McDonald's to the wonderful Walnut City Kitchen across the road.

Friendly, helpful, and courteous front desk staff. A short drive from McMinnville town center, and right in the middle of the Willamette County wine area, allowing us to visit various wineries within a short time.

I didnt spend much time at the hotel as I was busy 'vacationing' in the area, so it was perfect for the purpose. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and linens were in good condition. I did not like that the sink, etc was not sectioned off from the bedroom. I prefer that area to be private. The exercise equipment was in an anteroom from the indoor pool, so it was humid, but I appreciated that it was available.

We were visiting linfield college. Red lion was very nice for the price point with breakfast included. The bed was incredibly comfortable, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we were in the area. Pool is small if that is of interest.

Close to wineries & McMinnville; good value for money. Really liked the hand cream. Even had some local wine for sale near the reception area. Don't miss the Evergreen Aeronautical Museum about 1 mi. away.

I thought the hotel was well priced for two queen beds. I would look into staying in a suite if I was staying longer than one night. Practically the same price but with a small kitchen and other necessary stuff to cook your own food. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We stayed on the top floor away from the highway noise. So very close to the Evergreen Aviation Museum and the Wings and Waves Waterpark.

Red Lion was clean, comfortable, convenient to our activities (including a lovely park for morning hikes) and had "some" caring and responsive staff. I really wish I could give them higher marks. However, soon after arrival we discovered that the air conditioner made an unwelcome contribution to our trip. Since it was late afternoon on a Sunday and not exceedingly hot, we elected to call the front desk and request that someone take a look at it on Monday. We would be there for a week, so they needed to do something about it. The unit worked but when the compressor came on, it got increasingly loud so that we could not hear the television, make a phone call or even have a conversation without yelling -- let alone sleep. When we returned from our Monday activities around 5:30pm, we discovered that nothing had changed. We called the front desk and allowed the desk attendant to hear what we were dealing with while we were on the phone. We requested AGAIN that someone look at it the next day. To make a long story short, nothing was ever done about the air conditioner. NO ONE ever contacted us to apologize or offer any kind of options to solve the problem. In addition, we were shorted wash cloths, drink cups or something EVERY day. We supplied our room with drink cups by picking them up ourselves in the breakfast room. The last day we had NO bath towels at all.

We went to use the pull out bed and the bed sheets had not been changed . There was food in the bed and on the ground. There was even an ant trap to catch the food they I'd not want to clean up. yuck!

Great place to stay if you're visiting the Evergreen air museum and waterpark. Walking distance to the movie theatre too. Plenty of good places to eat and fairly near to grocery store and Wal-Mart.

The hotel looks nice from the outside. Our room was outdated. The front desk clerk was not very friendly. He looked bored. After I signed all the papers he handed me my key card and told me my room number. I had to ask how to get to my room. Usually a person is given directions around the hotel. We weren't told how long the pool was open for and nothing was mentioned about the continental breakfast the hotel offers in the morning.

Toilet was clogged in one of our rooms; maintenance service was slow. Breakfast was adequate but front desk clerk was busy running back and forth between manning the desk and servicing the breakfast room since there was no other help for the latter purpose.

Stayed here to attend the wine and food classic at the air and space museum. There is a free shuttle/tolley that takes you to the museum from this hotet. The breakfast buffet area is rather small compared to other hotels.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms. The free continental breakfast was much better than any other I've experienced. Included hot foods. The only minor thing I would change are the TVs. It would be nice to have flat screens instead of the older models.

We were visiting Linfield college with our daughter, room was nice, included flat screen (small), microwave, coffee, tea, room also had dble sinks which was nice and the beds were comfortable. Good location. All in all it was worth the price.

This is a very clean, basic hotel. Ask for a room on the side away from the front road and you will find it quiet as well. Simple breakfast with a staff that monitors it closely. A good hotel for the price point--nothing fancy but very quiet and clean. Easy access to downtown McMinnville and surrounding wineries. I recommend it.

Generally pretty good. I'd stay there next trip, for sure. Negatives: The hot water though was barely better than lukewarm in the morning. The mini fridge was loud (just unplug it). And the old CRT TV - haven't seen one of those in years! Positive: The wifi signal was strong and good enough for Netflix.

I stayed at the Red Lion in McMinnville, OR for three days on business. I found it to be clean, comfortable, well-maintained, staffed with friendly personnel, and restful. I would have rated the hotel a 4.5 except for a small glitch. On my final full day the shower curtain was taken down (not sure why) and not replaced. I mentioned this to the desk staff in the evening after I returned for the day, they were not able to replace at the time. Not really a big deal. But other than that, this was an excellent bargain. I recommend staying here for anyone visiting the area and needing lodging.

The hotel was fine. Biggest issues were our room had a smell that was uncomfortable.m kind of a disinfectant smell but more like an odor eliminator. Also the ceiling/floor had very little in terms of noise dampening. We could hear every footstep of the people above us.

My friends and I thought that the place was fine. It was in a good location. The room was clean and the breakfast was ok. However, a big problem was that our first room had no heat. We started the heater and then went to get dinner, but the room was freezing when we returned. A very pleasant desk clerk tried to fix things,but he couldn't. So we got a second room and we finally warmed up.

Great hotel and comfortable stay. However the only draw back I found was that the MAIN FRONT DOOR entrance was not Automatic. It needs to be on a sensor and open up when you are carry a bunch of luggage and have your hands full. Having to drop luggage to open the door to get your stuff and family in was an inconvenience.

The biggest problem with the McMinnville Red Lion was that they allow pets on every floor. This meant there was no way to have a room distant enough from yappy little dogs to be able to sleep through the night. They also appeared to cut corners on the breakfast...no butter, no hot chocolate and no fruit other than bananas. Would not stay here again with the dog noise though that could be easily remedied by limiting them to one end of the building on one or two floors. Everyone shouldn't have to lose sleep because of someone's ill-behaved pooch.
