When we arrived, we got our key from the front desk clerk (who seemed a bit condescending), went up to the room, and the door wouldn't open. The key worked, but the door wouldn't open. We went to get the front desk clerk, who explained and demonstrated that sometimes the doorknob has to be lifted up rather than pushed down. Not exactly intuitive, but […] once she showed us, we made it work. Once we were in the room, we turned on the TV, and while flipping through the channels, the remote mysteriously froze up and we had to run the TV manually, until just as mysteriously it started working later. The candy bar from the vending machine was stale. Then we discovered that the bathroom had no fan, which we really prefer to have in a hotel room. None of these things is a deal-breaker, any one thing would be no big deal at all, but no one wants a string of annoyances and frustrations after a long day of driving. We completely understand that this is a budget hotel, and we certainly don't expect any frills and extras, but when all those small nuisances started adding up, we realized we weren't really enjoying our stay all that much. Overall, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but we left knowing that if we pass this way again, we will be looking for somewhere else to stay. I'm pretty ambivalent about whether or not I would recommend it, but on the assumption that the small problems we encountered were flukes, I would probably give my recommendation, with a caveat Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

it was a travellodge.... what more can you say. :) It was convenient location, cheap(est), clean, nice breakfast and coffee. When you just need a bed and a shower, it gets the job done!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy to get off and on Rte. 79"
We didn't really spend much time in our hotel, since we went to a baseball game and then to the Rivers Casino. When we did finally get to our room, it was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable too. We will definitely be staying there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
If you are looking for a decent place to stay, stay here. However, if you have any form of disabilities, you may run into a problem as the hotel is not really designed with disabled people in mind. My buddy had a hard time getting around because of this fact.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Go to cranberry"
Beds were very uncomfortable and A/C was extremely loud. We could either not sleep because it was too hot, not sleep because the bed was uncomfortable, or not sleep because the A/C was too loud.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to where we needed to be"
The stay was fine. We just needed a place to sleep. We didn't need anything fancy or expensive. However, I had trouble with the keys and needed to have new ones made, one of which didn't work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Surprises. Good room at a fair price"
Stayed for one night on a short business trip. Just needed a clean comfortable place to sleep and this Econo Lodge met the requirement. No frills or special amenities. Clean, quiet, room with adequate air conditionin and very acceptable TV viewing choices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The beds were terribleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Turning onto the drive to reach the EconoLodge was difficult. After Exiting the highway you have to immediately cross 2 lanes of heavy traffic in order to reach the left turn lane to turn onto the road for the hotel. Other than the difficulties reaching the hotel, it is well located with some very nice restaurants within easy driving distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wexford economy hotel"
Room was a bit small having a king size bed, easy chair and desk. Included was a refrig and flat screen TV. There is free WiFi however this room was apparently too far (end of the building 2nd floor) to get a usable signal. There was an ethernet jack however, untested. Breakfast was simple but complete enough, included hot waffel maker and fresh fruit. […] No elevator, only stairs to 2nd floor of hotel, interior hallways. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent budget hotel"
A clean room, an exercise room, and breakfast included - what more do you want? OK breakfast was a bit slim and bed was not as comfortable as a fancy place, but all in all a perfect choice for taking my daughter to a concert for the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than expected!"
It is an older hotel but is kept very nice. There is nothing exceptional about it but there is nothing really wrong with it either. I think for the price you got what you paid for. The people who worked there were very friendly and accommodating. It was easy to find, right off the highway, and meet all of our needs.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Free breakfast kind of nothing"
The location was easy to find and the motel clean but nothing special. The one problem is that the entrance for the office is just about impossible to find. We drove around the building several times before finding it and noticed that several people were doing the same. The included breakfast was not what I expected from the pictures. Its sparse but […] clean very minimal compared to other hotels I've stayed at. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very clean and comfortable for our brief stay."
We needed a place close by to my son's medical appointment for early morning. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet and just what we needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The bed was uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The continental breakfast was all carbohydrates. Some fruit and protein should have been provided. The hotel is located to the freeway and some restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was convient to the doctor's office i was going to. the entrances need marked better. it was difficult to find the main enterance. they did accomidate my request for a ground level floor as i was traveling with a toddlar in a stroller.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean and Nice and Convenient!"
This hotel was so comfortable, and my room was clean and cozy. The concierge lady was very friendly and helpful. the location was right next to a great deli/market, and right next to highway 79. I wish all Econolodges were this great, but I stayed at one the next night in Youngstown, OH and it was considerably less comfortable and convenient than this […] one in Wexford. Recommended. "Nice place but not so good service"
Stayed for two nights but the room was not made up after first night. No new towels, beds not made. Other than that good breakfast and pleasant stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great deal for the money"
For the price, we weren't expecting perfection. But we were so surprised. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds and very helpful staff. If was everything that we needed for a overnight stay. The room is small, but we didn't need anything larger. A continental breakfast the next morning was exactly what we needed before heading to the airport.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best bang for your buck"
Even though an older hotel it was kept very clean. The rooms have big TV's. I liked having the table and chairs for meals. Management was nice. Hotel was quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was very easy to find...right off I 79. Stores and a Gas Station right next door. Desk Attendants were very nice and the Room was comfortable, quiet, and clean....no Bed Bugs! Great Continental Breakfast to start off your day as well. I would defineately come back to this hotel for my next Steelers game.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"On the way back"
The hotel staff was amiable, room was pleasant enough for an evening on a return trip - nothing spectacular, but that's not what I paid for. Location was very ideal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good for it's price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Breakfast was a budget program, our room had a strong floral odor that was overbearing when you entered the room, not sure what they were covering up but it was annoying. Room appeared clean and was quite basic and somewhat dated, other than convenient to our travel plans we would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for"
Its ok for a one night thing. My kids and I had an out of town doctors appointment so we needed to stay there. There's no elevator, the lobby is tiny, and everything we got out of the vending machine was expired. It was a good thing I had packed extra goodies for my kids to snack on. And the "free breakfast" consisted of a few stale danishes. The room […] itself was ok, the entire hotel smelled rather musty. But it was pretty clean overall, but I wouldn't spend more than one might at a time there. You get what you pay for! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Works for an overnight"
You get what you pay for. If you need a cheap room for the night, this works. They really need to mark the front entrance. There's a sign on the side that points towards the front of the building, it looks like a service entrance. Go through the brown doors (they stick) and there is a front desk there. Also, the fridge was turned up all the way, turned […] our waters into ice. However, overall, it's a decent place to stay and very convenient to Pittsburgh, without the crazy downtown prices. The staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. even for the circumstances of the stay had a good noght sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The check-in process was extrememly long, even though the room was completely paid for in advance. I travel at least 6 nights a month for business, and have never had anyone put my drivers license number and credit card number into the computer so many times. I have notified the CC company to watch for suspicious activity. Also, there is not an elevator […] on the property. I wish I had known that before I booked a room for my 87 year old mother and 94 year old father. When I asked to be moved to the 1st floor, even though we arrived a half hour before the posted check in time, I was told they were full and since it was booked though Expedia it could not be changed. A basic room, but very clean and very quiet place to stay. It was very convenient for us--access to our children in the north hills area of Pittsburgh. Staff was very accomodating and helpful during our 6 night stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, great location. Very happy"
I was unsure when I booked this hotel due to reading peoples comments for this hotel. Hotel is directly off of the highway, if you follow the signs. There were some renovations that were being done, but hey their making the place better. They had coffee and cookies ready when we got there in the afternoon. Breakfast was nice. They didnt have the sausage […] eggs, etc but it was continental and they had a wide variety. Dont always believe what you read. Everyones standards are different. "Econo Lodge, Wexford"
This hotel was clean with good service. The only issue was the heater was terribly loud as was the refrigerator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best People Worst Hotel"
I have to say the employees of the hotel were all super friendly, nice and very helpful and I in no way complaining about them at all. HOWEVER, the room was gross when we got there. It had a weird smell and everything that touched the floor picked up that smell (a little like dirty feet and vomit), there was salsa that someone left in the fridge prior […] to us getting there (also smelled) and the beds were the WORST. The mattress was thinner than the box spring and was so uncomfortable we didnt get a good night's sleep the whole time we were there. The detergent they use on the sheets left me with a slight rash all over myself and my cheeks from the pillow cases. I would definitely not ever stay there again because the quality of the room was so terrible. I give it one star for the service and another star for the quiet location and it only being about 5 minutes from cranberry where there is a lot of restaurants, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Not an excellent location if you're visiting Pittsburgh, but it is easy to find your way around from there. The rooms were great, and the staff were more than helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient to spend the night"
We were driving home from Myrtle Beach and needed a spot to spend the night, to split up the drive. The Econolodge was a great choice as it was directly off the highway, clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom are fairly small but for an overnight stay it was not an issue. There was a complimentary continental breakfast which was a nice surprise, […] and a Starbucks right next door as well. Definitely recommend booking in advance, particularly for weekends as the hotel was full and were turning people away when we were checking in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
