Our room was on the garden side so was very calm. The room looked a bit old but that was fine. All was functional. WiFi worked great. Very close to Newport city-center (a few minutes by car). Great choice if you're looking for somewhere to sleep at a good price.

The stuff at the front desk was nice and polite. But that was it. In the room i found two long curly blond hair on the pillows of my bed. And im the brunette with long straight hair!!! I found the room rather cluttered but perfectly adequate considering the price. As I was in Newport on business the full size desk and office style chair were much appreciated as I needed to work several hrs. a day on my computer. From the outside the hotel looked fine, parking was good and we were only a mile from downtown newport. We were not expecting a five star at a 2 star rating. I have never stayed at a hotel that needed more repairs. The door to the bathroom was warped and the panel was peeling off. Sink did not have a stopper to allow me to shave. I have never had to take two steps into a bathroom before. Would not be accessible for disabled individuals.

Most uncomfortable bed I ever slept in! It had plastic under the sheets that made them rattle and slide. I booked a Queen bed and they gave us a double.

This is a basic simple room - nothing fancy. The bed was comfortable, sheets didn't smell and towel was clean. Only complaint is that the shower was getting clogged. The biggest plus is that it is really close to Newport and the beaches.

We wanted a cheap hotel close to the beach. That's what we got. The room was tiny and stuffed full of every kind of furniture, making it hard to move around in. Old but clean and no trace of smoked-in rooms. Least expensive in the area but comparable to other hotels' offerings. Wi-fi signal is excellent and fast. Fresh fruits and cereals and coffee are sufficient and fresh for continental breakfast.

The location was convienent to downtown newport however the room was old and needed updating bed was very soft but my main complaint was that when I picked up the bathmat there was gelatinous grey slime. Obviously nobody ever took it out to clean the tub!

THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. I KNEW IT WOULD NOT BE UPSCALE BUT I EXPECTED IT TO AT LEAST BE CLEAN AND IT WAS NOT!!!! THERE WERE HAIRS ON THE PILLOW CASE AND THE TOWELS LOOKED DIRTY AND THREADBARE. THE BATHROOM WAS DISGUSTING AS WAS THE CARPET IN THE ROOM! YOU ARE MUCH BETTER OFF AT THE BEST WESTERN DOWN THE ROAD.
