The hotel room suited our needs. You could tell that it had recently been painted. There was a draft in the bathroom so when you took a shower the shower curtain clinged to you. Great water pressure! Let's just say that Travelodge opened this hotel before the work was checked... air conditioned never worked even after moving rooms... room was 26C the whole time. This place was great. Although one of the faucet knobs, to the sink in the bathroom, was missing the letter "H" for the hot water it was very comfortable and in good repair. That's not a big deal though and made absolutely no difference in the comfort of the room. The staff was very friendly. They even gave me a power adapter for the wall, an umbrella, […] and various other things to help out in starting my stay in Dublin. The room had air conditioning which is hard to find in Europe so it was definitely at the top of my feel good list for the room. The only remotely bad things were parking and visibility of the hotel. You have to be actively looking for the place if you don't know where it is. It's a little hard to locate since it only has a small sign at the front. There is a banner on the side of the wall, however, that says that it's around the area but not specifically where it was. Parking in Dublin is in short supply as it is. There is a parking garage right next to the hotel which you can use. It doesn't belong to the hotel but, they get a special rate from it. You have to go to the parking garage customer service desk and tell them how long you have been there and how long you plan to use the garage. DO NOT PAY THE PARKING TICKET until you are leaving. You MUST go to the customer service desk in the parking garage to pay for the special rate from the hotel. All in all it was a great and comfortable place to stay. Read more

Great hotel. Stayed there twice for four nights total. Newly refurbished, conveniently located, very helpful staff. Only snafus were that the check-in person did not realize the room had been pre-paid, but as soon as I showed her the expedia confirmation she apologized and put a refund through on my card. (I wasn't 100% positive until I checked the […] email in my room, so the card was charged at check-in.) This hotel had been open for less than 2 weeks and everything was great. The location is convenient to Trinity, shopping, and sightseeing. There is a pay parking garage next door. We stayed at the Mercer for a few nights during an unusual heat wave in Dubllin. The location is great, near shopping, theatre and not far from Temple Bar. The room was immense compared to others in UK, but the floor tiles in the bath were loose. Other than that, I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

The hotel is in a god location, close to the main centre of Dublin. Staff were friendly and overall the hotel met my expectations of a Travelodge. Only gripe was that the Air conditioning unit kept me awake.

Great location, good room rate. I stayed with two colleagues, each of us in separate rooms. Some of the basics were missing - one room was missing an iron (that we requested), another was missing shower gel, my room was cold and the heating controls were useless. I guess you get what you pay for...

The location was definitely ideal with convenient discounted parking right next door. Staff was perfectly fine too. Our room was NOTHING like pictured on the site, and was really outdated and quite musty smelling. But it was fine for a one night stay before heading out.

If visiting the grafton street area this hotel is a perfect location, basic room, no frills..perfect to lay your head in a clean, quiet place a short walk from shops, cafes etc. functional room, no heater in bathroom making for chilly trips to the loo only complaint. Would return if wanted cheap & cheerful central overnight stay.

On an ugly part of the street, but very close to Stephen's Green area. I had a double room on fourth floor, was quiet. Poor maintenance: 3 lightbulbs in the room not working, heating controls flawed, no extractor fan in bathrooms. But it was quiet and peaceful, the bed was comfortable, staff were helpful. When i arrived i parked on the street. I asked at reception where to park but was not informed that the over night parking was only between certain hours so finished up paying 14.50 instead of the 5i thought it would cost! The room smelt damp, the toilet was dirty-i won't say what was on it, the bin had condoms and the wrappers still in it, the bath […] was dirty and when i went to shower the water was ice cold! Later that evening we were offered a complimentary breakfast because of the water problem. Only to turn up for the breakfast to get ONE sausage, two fried eggs, ONE slice of toast and a mug of coffee. Seriously-it was an insult! I enjoyed my stay at the Travelodge Hotel. The Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room comfort and amenitie were excellent. The entertainment was very good - a husky, female singer could be heard singing beautifully .The only let-down was that I was charged 9.90 euros for a continental breakfast and I could have had a full Irish breakfast for the […] same amount.Apparently, it's a different company and if you don't book a breakfastwith the Hotel beforehand you pay the full amount, but if you doyou pay 3 euros less!The venue awas excellent, next to all amenities and St Stephen's Green lively shopping centre.
