Jerry and the other morning staff went out of their way to keep everything stocked for breakfast. They had it all. Waffles, eggs burritos yogurt dounuts danish muffins cereal fruit oatmeal, etc. Wow! We tipped the breakfast staff the morning we left. We figured $20 was way less than we would've spent for 3 people for 3 days. Jerry is TRULY AN UNBELEIVABLE, […] OUTSTANDING, PASSIONATE individual. He chatted with everyone and made sure nobody was wanting for anything. More places need people like him. The roomitself was standard, nothing to brag about, but staff kept it clean and we had no problems. We wouldve liked to been on the other side of freeway which was the oceanside, but had a car and really wasnt an issue. The things we enjoyed are : good breakfast, heated swimming pool, nice shower, two comfortable chairs in the room, short distance to all must-see sight, and freeway close by. But the shampoo and conditioner really suck!

The hotel was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do, Sea World, Beach, although restaurants were a little it of drive, it wasn't too bad. The room is what it is, nothing special, but then again you get what you pay for! The hotel was in a good location, 10 mins from the city, and the hotel service was the best we have had at a hotel. The only thing that is a knock on this place is that the pool is really small, but Mission Beach is really close so it made up for that.

We moved out of a hotel at Ocean Beach after one bad night and into this one - which was clean, quiet and had very friendly and competent staff. The free breakfast was great, no problems at all with this hotel. The location is pretty good, a block or so from the east side of Mission Bay. Not many restaurant choices very close by though.

The hotel is located next to Mission bay. It was just a five minute drive to Sea World, 10 minutes to the Zoo, 10 to Old town, 10 to Down town, 15 to Mission beach and 20 to La Jolla. My husband and I are mid-week commuters, frequently staying in San Diego to ease our commute strain. Loved this Best Western. Asked for a room not next to others, and they accommodated that request. I love Best Western and will always use them when I travel to California for a vacation. At this location Everything was clean, spacious rooms, staff was sooo friendly, breakfast was yummy, location is perfect for the beach & the beds very comfortable! For the same price elsewhere, the bathroom floors here are NOT grimy, the carpets are clean, and the room (second floor corner room) does NOT smell like bleach cleaner. TV picture quality was poor, in my room at least. Breakfast staff was nice, breakfast room too small, food was ok for free breakfast. Need to get to breakfast early to beat the rush. Good wifi. Nice shower head. Nice to have a microwave and mini fridge in the room.

I noticed the care and good maintenance of the facility. It is definitely better than average. The little touches with the folding of the towels, wash cloths etc are not usually found in motels. The one ding--the old sock still on the floor next to the bed side table.

The location in relation to Seaworld can't be beat. The breakfast was nice, the rooms were large and clean, and the staff was friendly (especially the breakfast hosts). It got a little noisy, and the parking lot was a bit cramped, but all in all I'd recommend it if you are looking for an economical but close motel to Seaworld.
