"Decent Value"

Room was clean. Motel is located 'out in the country' away from the town and no traffic noise. Non smoking room was fine, but the hallways smelled strongly of tobacco smoke. Pool and hot tub being used by families (our stay was a Saturday night). Nice little continental breakfast in the morning.

hotel was in decent condition. Room smelled of smoke, but it was a smoking room. The beds are not all that comfortable, but still for the money, not bad. I would definitely go back, the hotel staff was nice and the pool and hot tub were a definite plus. The only problems I had were the room smell and the beds.

Great staff and nice rooms, the breakfast bar was more than just a carb overload, very nice. Pool and hot tub were confortable temperatures and a nice place to relax after long travel.

the water pipes in the wall make noise all night long. the the bathroom faucet in our room leaked out of the bottom of the plastic fittings. the carpet there was soaked, couldn't wear just socks to get to the bathroom. the pool didn't have any towels left and the front desk didn't either. there couldn't have been maybe 20 people staying there at the time i stayed. there was no excuse...

"What does work at this hotel"

We arrived at the Americinn in bay City, Michigan hoping to unwind after a 4 hour drive in their supposedly heated pool-my 2 year old daughter was so excited yet when we got into the pool area they were under construction- we stepped into the pool and it was ice water- had the front desk gal (who was clueless)turn on the heater since she said it was not turned on - later found out the heater was actually broken. Turned in for the evening and had to wait for the herd of elephants (about 20 young kids) complete their laps up and down our hallway as well as the floor above us- breakfast was not as good as our previous stay and then we found out the soda machine was not working as well- if it does not work put up a Does not work sign- not a place I will ever stay at again-

Motel has non-smoking rooms but allows smoking in the hallways. With large cracks arounf the door frame, smoke is srawn into the room whenyou turn the bathroom light/fan combination on. We had to leave the light off. Bedspread was heavy and old while the sheets were paper thin. Sink would not drain probable with the buildup of hair caught in the drain. Should be rated no stars until these basic issues are corrected.
