The staff in the hotel were wonderful, courteous, friendly and professional. The room we were given was clean and large enough but very sparsely furnished. There was not one place to store anything. The bathroom was extremely small and what is with the huge column in the center of the room? There was'nt any place to lay out anhything. The first night […] we paid extra for a suite because that was the only room available when we checked in. It was huge and very comfortable and accommodating.. Also did not have a safe in the room. Hotel was very clean. There is no AC but the windows open and the weather cools at night. It can be noisy outside due to car/truck traffic and trans noise late into the evening. Close to a tram stop and the trams system is easy to learn and accesses all of central Helsinki.

absolutely comfortable room. great breakfast. about 25 min walk to the center, but next to a tram stop so about 13 min to the center by tram. very convenient if the trip is connected with the Lansi ferry terminal.

It was a great stay in this hotel.good service for a fair price. Bed are very comfortble, but if you will require for 3rd or 4th bad, they will provide will a kind of foldble sofa that is small and absolutely not confortble.

Great hotel at a great price. Perfect location - close to the Central Station, Kampi, and the ferry to Stockholm and Estonia. The only negative was having to pay for TV. Who pays for CNN? Excellent room, nice ambiance, great breakfast (not a good choice if you are on a diet). The only problem of the hotel is location if you are sightseeing, it is a bit far from downtown area (almost 2 kilometers to the central station).

The location is not as close as the other raddison hotels in the area, but it's in a more natural (native) location I would say. The hotel quality and rooms are fantastic so no worries there. Great place to stay at. There's a flea market and a couple traditional restaurants nearby.

Well..... we stayed there in April. The first thing you notice in the lobby is a huge square 'swing platform' right in the middle of the lobby. They must have hired some "decorator" who convinced them this was a way for hotel chains to try to give the appearance of being a boutique hotel. Firstly, the thing takes up a lot of space and secondly, does […] anyone actually sit on those things? Then you encounter the children's fun area.... why in the middle of the lobby??? Check in was painless..... then you notice the HORRIBLY soiled carpeting, like there was a terrible flood with dirty water everywhere... I was wondering if it was actually a pattern, but nope... it was stained... everywhere.. (maybe the Finnish winter came indoors???) The hallways have all the charm of a hospital in Tblisi, Georgia: brick walls and institutional blue painted doors, scratched paint everywhere and the strangely stained carpet. The room: you walk in the small room and you are faced with an ironing board right in front of the door, (obviously an afterthought as there's no place to put it) more scratched paint and the window looks out on a dismal dark backyard. The bathroom looks strangely institutional like in a hospital. the soap and shampoo are in a refillable wall dispenser-- Motel-6 style. We asked if there was "a better room" and got one ---but the new one had scratched and warn paint everywhere, stained carpet, dirty stained chairs, even the bedspread was damaged. I thought Finns were clean and tidy? How much is it to pay a handyman to touch-up paint? Read more

The room was nice but with obvious signs of leakage (stain on the ceiling ). 10 min walk from city center. free sauna and wifi, breakfast is pretty good. the staff is friendly and helpful. The overall impression was ruined because 1 hours after check out I was CHARGED EXTRA 100 EUR FOR NO REASON. Luckily my bank notified me, and I still was in town, […] so I had a chance to return to hotel and solve the problem. It appeared that they charged the price of the stay,in spite that I had prepaid booking by expedia .The manager said that if I didn't return that day, the procedure of refund would be much more complicated. The staff at the hotel was very helpful in the restaurant and the breakfast dining rooms with one of us with a gluten free allergy. The food was amazing and the service was great as well. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious. We would definitely stay there again!!!

We have stayed in this hotel twice now, and both times were extremely pleased. Its about a 10 min walk to the city centre, but the No. 6 tram runs from the railway station right past the front door. Breakfast had plenty to offer all tastes. Rooms were comfortable, though a little small. Staff lovely, very helpful.

Great location and nice room, especially a very comfortable bed. We stayed in a "superior" room, so not sure if the beds are the same in normal rooms. Bathroom is in need of some renovation, clean but not as modern as you would expect when you see the rest of the hotel. A great hotel which is pretty well located 15mins from train station and on the seaside. Fantastic buffet which has a mean fruit mix and yoghurt station. Modern hotel which is very clean and well maintained, but does feel a little 'old' in parts. The Radisson Blu Seaside was good value for the money at the time I stayed. Comfortable room in good condition with a view of a harbour and good included internet access. Great breakfast also included. It's not quite in the city centre like some other hotels but a 20 min walk or 5 min tram ride gets you there.

They did not pick up on requests for twin beds and bathroom.The first room had dirty clothes behind toilet and the bathroom smelled of blocked drains.The second day we changed rooms, bathroom still smelled of sewage. The third day our room was not serviced, we were told cleaning staff had gone home but we could have a drink from the mini bar as a sweetener. […] We declined and asked for clean towels instead. We reported the problems to various staff members at reception and the response was the same from all of them, Polite Indifference. Hotel is good value for money. It's location is excellent as it's on the edge of the city with a tram stop outside where the number 6 tram stops regularly. It's then only a short trip to the city centre. Overall the service was very good, with receptive staff, and the room was cleaned on time each day. The breakfast included was very good, although […] at the peak of season the breakfast room was extremely busy and tables hard to get. Free use of bicycles for three hours was an added bonus. The only drawback was the bad smell of our bathroom drain. Other than that I'd recommend the hotel and gladly stay there again. Read more

Having stayed at this hotel several times before, I was a bit disappointed this time, to say the least. Although we had only booked a standard room, we asked for a room with a sea view which we have always had in the past. This time we were told it would cost an extra 15 Euros per night to get a sea view. After some haggling which was getting me nowhere […] I agreed to pay the extra, only to be told there were no upgraded rooms available anyway. There was a lot of noise from other guests, loud televisions, things knocking on the hard floor in the room above, people clomping about upstairs etc etc, both late at night and early morning, so I didn't have a good night's sleep the whole time we were there. The room was a bit tatty, there was tape across the mains sockets next to the bed, not sure why so I took it off and used them anyway, there was a bath rather than walk-in shower, and the bath had deep scratches in the bottom that were stained brown, you needed to be a contortionist to reach the loo roll whilst sitting on the toilet. Getting the room cleaned was a bit hit and miss, some days they didn't bother to top up the shampoo etc, one day the bath mat was missing, the cleaner also took away an empty water bottle that had a deposit on it, even though we hadn't thrown it away. Last year we thought this hotel had gone down hill a bit, this year I felt it had gone off even more and I probably won't use it again. The hotel is situated in a good area, albeit not at the "seaside" more dock or even harbour side but with a convenient tram stop immediately outside and a quick 5 minute journey into town. There was a nice selection of local restaurants and bars nearby on Boulevardi and Fredikinskatu.The breakfast buffet has everything anyone could reasonably want and […] is excellent.The public areas are fine , if a little tired but the bedrooms were disappointing. There is no airconditioning and consequently windows were open for comfort but this meant noise at night and the room was very dusty. Standards of cleaning were perhaps not 100%.
