The staff was great, the location is great for a business person coming from the airport. The train is right across the street, and the main train station and buses and metro are right nextdoor too. BUT it is a cab (or metro or bus) ride from the historic area so be advised. Also, there is no gym/exercise room. And when it's cold in Lyon or snowing, your only choice is to eat :). It's in a very commercial area so there don't seem to be fine real French restaurants around. So the bottom line is, good for a business person with appointments close by. Not quite so good for tourists.

Nice hotel, centrally located, close to Metro stop. Booked a superior room and as is typical throughout many hotels in the EU, it was tiny. Had to go outside to change our minds. Barely enough room to walk around the double bed. Std. room' must be a sardine can. No soundproofing issues, fairly quiet. Front desk staff was exceptional and friendly. Plenty of pizza joints within a block or 2, which came in handy when we arrived late. Would stay here again.

Hotel was clean and nice, however, it was pretty far from the city center. Had to walk 15 min to the nearest metro and change 2 metros to get to the center. Some of the staff were rude and not helpful, while others were very nice and helpful.

Eventhough it is not in the heart of old town, this hotel is excently located, few blocks away public transporntation and in case you feel like pedaling there are a lot of bike rental around. For the price of the hotel, we got everything we need. A great room with modern design, minibar, huge bathroom. We were in a suite and I loved everything about it. You can get to the old city by 5 min ride with a bus. Highly recommend this hotel!

We were only at the novotel Lyon for one night as a stopover on the way back to Calais from Cannes. The hotel is about a mile away from the towncentre. Once inside the lobby is spacious and well thought out. It appears to cater more for the business client. The staff were helpful and courteous and spoke English. Excellent hotel, with very helpful staff. Thought at first it was a little too far from the centre of Lyon, but the nearby Metro ststem is superb and very cheap, and once we got use to it, getting into town was very easy. Would definately stay at this hotel again.

Modern, clean, comfortable and the superior rooms are very satisfactory in terms of size and equipment. Very happy with the hotel overall. Excellent location if you are after a football match in Gerland! Not so close from the city centre though, and the nearest metro station is about 10 mins walk.

Generally good value and comfortable stopover en Route to our holiday in Provence. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful, kids liked the presents they were given on arrival. On the downside its a shame they request that you use their car park and then charge you €16 for the 'privalege'.

Très bel hotel. Très pratique pour la Saintélyon. Surtout que l'otel avait prévu des départs tardifs gratuits le dimanche aux participants de la course ! Super service. Attention le parking est par contre payant et il n'y a pas trop le choix à proximité ... Pour visiter le centre de Lyon prévoir une voiture justement !

nous avons été très déçue par cet hôtel.Quand on va dans un Novotel on s'attend tout de même à un certain accueil et une certaine prestation.A notre arrivée le monsieur de l'accueil nous a débité son texte pour nous donner les clefs de notre chambre sans meme nous regarder une seule fois et au passage parle à sa collègue qui passe derrière. la chambre […] n'était pas propre. leur coin café était sale, la bouilloire était sale (des taches non identifiés) les dosettes de café certainement pas utilisées depuis un certain temps était pleine de poussière, de la poussière sur la tête de lit. le service au bar où nous avons mangé n'était pas mieux, on a mis du temps à venir prendre notre commande et on avait vraiment l'impression de les ennuyer. pour ce qui est de l'état général de l'hôtel, il vieillit et ça se voit, et les finitions sont vraiment mal faite. L'accueil très bien, déco très bien, personnel restauration très sympa, propreté de la chambre très bien, confort du matelas dans le canapé lit imposible on sent les ressorts, même pour des enfants, on entends les réveil dans les chambres voisines, il y a une piscine mais pas chauffée, dommage pour un 4 étoiles. Pour l'emplacement ça va juste à côté […] du Hall Tony Garnier à 2 pas le bus au pied de l'hôtel pour se rendre dans le vieux Lyon avec un changement en prenant le métro qui est très simple d'utilisation.
