"Great Hotel for all"
Excellent hotel - no complaitns at all :) brilliant from arriving to leavingGenuine Expedia guest review
Really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Brilliant for shopping eating and drinking."
Fab hotel with lovely, helpful and friendly staff. The only (very slight) problem with the room was the blinds- it was very light early in the morning and blackout blinds would be a great addition. We had a fantastic time despite the cancellation of the Franki Valli concert!Genuine Expedia guest review
We were greated like old friends and made very comfortable during our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was our second stay at The Lowry and we will definitely be returning. It's pricey but exactly what you would expect from a 5* hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of Spinningfields and the main shopping centre. I would recommend The Lowry to anyone looking to treat someone to a fab stay in Manchester!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not a great start when they make you feel like a criminal because you don't want to leave a credit card imprint...I have staying in 100s of hotels, most much nicer than this one and nobody has ever threatened to clear out the mini bar incase I was to run away with the contents!! Unbelievable. To then be treated with a cracked sink with a hole in it, […] cracked floor tiles and moody grout only increased my dislike of the hotel. The gym has very dated equipment and no air con, leaving the door open to the reception area didn't help the temperature. When I asked for some ice and for someone to come and look at the antiquated air con in the room the response was to charge me £5 for the ice...nobody turned up to look at the air con so the room was unbearably hot....the controls have 3 settings, hot, med, cool...cool ain't cool!! Overall a big disappointment, stay the at the crowne plaza, it's much nicer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"BEST IN MANCHESTER?"
High end hotel which is as good as a provincial hotel gets ( it's not The Dorchester or The Ritz). Helpful and friendly valet parking and check in. Our ' standard room' was bigger than average and well appointed, with good seating and desk area and an oversize bed. Bathroom was fine, shower over the bath ( which was the narrowest bath I have experienced), […] but it worked well. Dinner in the River Restaurant was a triumph. Masterchef-style food, good size portions, beautiful presentation, great flavours. We didn't have breakfast. In summary, well worth the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice convenient hotel"
Bed sheets were dirty and had to be changed. Other than that, good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Manchester city hotel"
For a 5 star hotel, the lobby area and bedroom corridors really could do with updating and making more luxurious. It looks very bland and more like a Holiday Inn than a luxury hotel. Restaurant area is better and breakfast was very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No way this is a five star hotel,"
No way this is a five star hotel, it's looks much more like a 3-4 stars ones. No swimming pool, ok-ish restaurant, shabby "spa" which offer only a tiny shower with a broken head, and a tiny 1 person sauna. The overall condition of the hotel reminded us more of a standard city hotel, nothing exceptional and lots of wear and tear signs (especially floorings). […] No coffee/tea maker in the room, and it cost £12 for two teas using the room service. No free internet, instead it's £6 an hour. During checkout they overcharged us a night, Had to go back and have it sorted, really not something we would expect from a 5 star hotel, we only stayed 1 night ! On the way home they gave us a token to leave the car park, of course it didn't work and we had to buzz in to exit. We were expecting much more for £300 a night.... Very good. Excellent food, very comfortable beds, very helpful staff. Only downside was high bar prices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our room was not serviced on the second night although we were out all evening from 17.00pm. The hotel generally is looking a bit 'tired' and really needs an make over.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel for a luxury stay"
Hotel was brilliant and the staff were very helpful. Made sure I knew where places were. I was going to one direction concert and the arena is a five minute walk as are shops. The room was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable. Would recommend the hotel for everyone that wants a weekend of luxuryGenuine Expedia guest review

"Perfectly nice and comfortable"
Comfortable hotel. Room was clean and modern with view over river. A little out of town it seemed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable and breakfast in the room very good. Hotel is in good condition as are rooms. Would stay againGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent for football/business"
Expensive but truly excellent helpful staff, great room, lethal cocktail menuGenuine Expedia guest review
A very well run and comfortable hotel with a good location and everything you need.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Generic international hotel"
Good quality hotel. It was missing tea and coffee making in your room and a swimming pool. I also think that internet from rooms should be included (at least for a short period) I think it started at £6 for 1 hour. The parking is also expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
excellent hotel and service ,within walking distance of shops would recommend this hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
the staff are very helpful , the hotel has an air of calmGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is perhaps one of the best hotels in Manchester, and the reason why they normally charge so much. I wouldn't normally have a need to pay for such extravagance, but this was in a deal. One irritation - without asking for it, room service elected to knock on my door at 7pm to deliver some missing water to the room. I was about to take a shower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
T.V not working in room.bar closed at 11pm ,i am not a big drinker but i do like to relax with a drink after being out for the day,and as for the T.V i am not going to ring reception at 23.15 hrs to tell them that the tv is faulty, that should have been checked before guests arrive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing place to stay."
Overall everything was very nice. I did not have a chance to visit the spa and fitness facilities. I wish I have time for it. Hope to go back again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Unpretentious elegance with service second to none. Very easy parking and handy for the City centreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel in the heart of Manchester"
Its not cheap but you get what you pay for. Plush hotel, fabulous rooms and a good view. A 5 minute walk down the canal gets you to the center of Manchester. If you do not want to pay for the Valet parking there is a pay and display car park next to the hotel (2 minute walk), Obviously its not secure so you take your choice but we found it to be fi […] ne. The pillows were very uncomfortable & the bar is not as nice as the Edwardian Radisson in Manchester.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent service. Even gave us half a bottle of champagne "for our inconvenience" after they delivered it to the wrong room! What more can you say.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was travelling as carer to a wheel chair user, and found all the staff, facilities and services above and beyond expectations. I can't think of anything that was less than 100 percent about our stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful rooms if horrible exterior"
I have passed the Lowry many times in the course of my job and always thought it looked reminiscent of a hotel on one of the Costas. The immediate vicinity is uninspiring (if you want kerb appeal then stay at The Midland.) However look past the ugly exterior and this is a truly wonderful hotel. We took one of the standard rooms with a city view (the […] river really isn't worth it). The room was massive, while the decor was simple yet sumptuous. I cannot fault the service in any way. A highly recommended hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel - real 5*. but why no pool?"
Excellent hotel. Service was fantastic. Only issue is "get a swimming pool" otherwise perfectGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great for couples"
Clean, friendly, lovely convenient hotel. Will always choose this hotel when in ManchesterGenuine Expedia guest review
"friday night stay"
Staff were extremely helpful, room was very nice although the 2 beds pushed together resulted in a dip in the middle slightly uncomfortable for a deluxe room! Contemporary fittings although some showing signs of wear and threshold step from room into bathroom was porr design. Breakfast was great and location ideal for central Manchester.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Double check before you arrive"
We expected river view rooms but had a view of the parking lot. We phoned the hotel and asked for adjoining rooms, which we were told we could have. They were not adjoining when we checked in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to city centre & MEN Arena"
Top class hotel, used by visiting celebrities as well. Highly recommended hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good city hotel for an overnight stay. i stayed night before concert and was convenient for eating out etc. Many restaurants on your doorstep. Hotel staff polite and courteous. "A OK hotel"
An OK hotel but I would not give it five stars. We have stayed in better four star hotels in Manchester for much less money. The breakfast was good.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic, shame about the breakfast waitress!"
Cannot fault the hotel in anyway, Barr terrible service at breakfast from one of the waitresses, it may have been a one off, but still had an impact on the trip!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing hotel, awful bar"
This hotel is very good and of a high standard. Everything would have been perfect. However before we went out we went to the bar and waited 15 mins before anyone served us. The place was empty so was surprising but these things happen. We then returned to the bar area for food after a night out. It took 30 mins to be served and an incredible 1hr 20 […] mins for 2 portions of fries to arrive. I would stay again but never return to the bar. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
