"Wonderful rooms if horrible exterior"
I have passed the Lowry many times in the course of my job and always thought it looked reminiscent of a hotel on one of the Costas. The immediate vicinity is uninspiring (if you want kerb appeal then stay at The Midland.) However look past the ugly exterior and this is a truly wonderful hotel. We took one of the standard rooms with a city view (the […] river really isn't worth it). The room was massive, while the decor was simple yet sumptuous. I cannot fault the service in any way. A highly recommended hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel - real 5*. but why no pool?"
Excellent hotel. Service was fantastic. Only issue is "get a swimming pool" otherwise perfectGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great for couples"
Clean, friendly, lovely convenient hotel. Will always choose this hotel when in ManchesterGenuine Expedia guest review
"friday night stay"
Staff were extremely helpful, room was very nice although the 2 beds pushed together resulted in a dip in the middle slightly uncomfortable for a deluxe room! Contemporary fittings although some showing signs of wear and threshold step from room into bathroom was porr design. Breakfast was great and location ideal for central Manchester.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Double check before you arrive"
We expected river view rooms but had a view of the parking lot. We phoned the hotel and asked for adjoining rooms, which we were told we could have. They were not adjoining when we checked in.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to city centre & MEN Arena"
Top class hotel, used by visiting celebrities as well. Highly recommended hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good city hotel for an overnight stay. i stayed night before concert and was convenient for eating out etc. Many restaurants on your doorstep. Hotel staff polite and courteous. Breakfast was good with choice of buffet or menu which included full english or porridge or fruit etc. overall good experience and would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A OK hotel"
An OK hotel but I would not give it five stars. We have stayed in better four star hotels in Manchester for much less money. The breakfast was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for business and a weekend break"
A modern, central, luxury hotel with a real added touch of class in the staff service, food and overall welcome.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for couples!"
A great stay! Hotel bar a little over priced to be honest.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best Hotel in Manchester"
Very nice, comfortable hotel with excellent friendly service. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic, shame about the breakfast waitress!"
Cannot fault the hotel in anyway, Barr terrible service at breakfast from one of the waitresses, it may have been a one off, but still had an impact on the trip!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very impressive, professional and helpful service. Quite expensive but worth it.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Amazing hotel, awful bar"
This hotel is very good and of a high standard. Everything would have been perfect. However before we went out we went to the bar and waited 15 mins before anyone served us. The place was empty so was surprising but these things happen. We then returned to the bar area for food after a night out. It took 30 mins to be served and an incredible 1hr 20 […] mins for 2 portions of fries to arrive. I would stay again but never return to the bar. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good but not exciting"
You can't fault this hotel for service, cleanliness and facilities. But it just lacks that something special for what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but I wouldn't stay again. It's a little on the expensive too and there is a better deal to be had on other good hotels in better locations in Manchester.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Luxury with a warm & friendly vibe"
Hotel well located for Deansgate shops and only a short walk for main central shop locations. Well positioned for some good restaurants and bars if you don't want to use the hotels facilities. Relaxing spa area - pricing within what you would expect from a 5 star establishment. Staff very friendly - Bar staff headed up by Vera nothing is ever too much […] trouble you only need to ask. stayed for a weekend in Manchester. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Pricey for some things but it is 5* I suppose.Genuine Expedia guest review
"What a hoo haa but spacious"
The room was not great, big though possibly the only good thing. The bed had a joint and was not a real king but two singles joined together. Thanks to my partner it was a great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Superb - worth the money"
Great hotel. Good service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Only critism is having to pay £15 for the car park when you've spent a large amount on the hotel room. Lovely large rooms as standard, nice big bathrooms and spacious corridors.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
excellent service with genuinely friendly and helpful staff from check in to bar staff. Only tiny let down was the exorbitant price of a bowl of french fries!!!! Will definately go backGenuine Expedia guest review
i booked the hotel for mine and my fiances anniversary.........wise decision. loved the hotel. helpful, polite staff, clean, spacious room. only downside was teenage girls screaming outside waiting for the famous rapper to come out of the hotel who was staying.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Wonderful Hotel!"
A wonderful hotel! The staff could not have been more friendly. The rooms were clean and very well equipped (and had lovely REN toiletries!!). The restaurant was delicious and the bar stayed open until the last person finished drinking.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Lovely City Centre Hotel"
This was our 2nd stay at the Lowry. The hotel is franticly placed in the centre of Manchester and all its amenities. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast was sadly not up to the high standard of the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stayGenuine Expedia guest review

"Lowry Hotel Manchester"
Birthday treat for my wife. Superb value for money, the room was fantastic and the staff are A1. We have stayed in most of the Hotels in Manchester and this has jumped to the top of our favourites.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Easy parking and central for the main City attractions and shops.Spotless Hotel . I've stayed in dumps in London for twice the priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Having broken my wrist the week before going, I was apprehensive. The staff whilst being excellent in many respects failed to note I struggled eating and that signing for things was impossible. The room was fab and the hotel is lovely.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good quality hotel"
Good quality hotel very near the City Centre. Don't be fooled by the address, this is just in Salford and having stayed in Manchester before, the location is excellent. Facilities are good, staff friendly and the hotel is clean and tidy. Will be better when the building work next door is finished although this didn't impact on the stay. Only critisism […] is the expensive bar costs...over priced! and having decided not to use the mini bar our room was entered and the bar cleared. Not sure I liked the fact someone went into the room after we had occupied it and were out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a waste of money to pay £50 for a 'Z' bed for a child, they are not sturdy nor are they safe, my sons bed collapsed many times during the night as he slept, I would not recommend using them, disappointing, as The Lowry could make some rooms into Family rooms as they are very large comfortable rooms. Just ditch the 'Z' beds before there is an […] accident. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary and the hotel was perfect. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we were continually asked if everything was ok. We had a problem with the tv in the room and the staff member came back and forth to the room until it was fixed, offering to move us at one point, no need, they got everything sorted. […] The room was very comfortable with lovely robes and slippers to slip on, the towels were sooo lovely and thick. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, you have to call for them but we did that and they arrived promptly. It is very close to Deansgate and all the shops and restaurants. Would definitley stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
""Great Hotel pity it's not next to the Lowry!""
I can't fault the hotel in terms of quality, cleanliness, friendly staff it was a genuinely 5*. The disappointment was teh proximity to the Lowry although not far (10 min taxi ride) I was hoping the Lowry Hotel would be within walking distance of the Lowry Theatre - alittle omssion on both expedia and the hotel's website!Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Lowry in Manchester (Salford) is simply the best"
With exception of Gidleigh Park in Devon the Lowry Hotel in Manchester is the best. The staff are very helpful and accommodating despite being fully booked for one of the two nifgts we were there. There was a large wedding in the hotel on Friday evening and two football teams staying there so they also had to cope with autograph hunters and "hangers […] on"! Nothing was too much trouble. They also have a car park which is hugely useful when staying in any city centre hotel. Although technically it is in Salford, the main shopping centre in Manchester is less than a five minute walk away across a spectacularly constructed footbridge. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The Lowry Hotel, Manchester"
Absolutely fabulous hotel with first class service.I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who made our trip so comfortable. They are extremely professional at all times and have a nothing is too much trouble attitude. Will definetely be staying here again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed for three nights. I highly recommend this hotel. The room was excellent, I had asked for a good view as the trip was for my mother's birthday and we were given a room with an excellent view. There was a birthday cake for my mum delivered to our room, which was a really nice gesture. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Room was very […] clean and the bathroom was excellent, gleaming! We enjoyed our stay very much. Only one small point, we were told on one of the mornings that our breakfast was complimentary that day, I did not have to sign for it. Unfortunately I was charged for it when I received my invoice on check out. I didn't mention it at the time, so as not to embarass my mother. I paid the invoice in full. I will definitely stay again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"One of my favourite hotels"
The Lowry is an affordable 5 star hotel in the heart of Manchester. It's within walking distance of the Manchester Evening News Arena, Victoria Station and great shops and restaurants. The hotel is immaculate and the staff cannot do enough to make sure your stay is an enjoyable one. Rooms are large, spaceous and quiet with the only downside being that […] there is no tea/coffee making facilities in them, although these can be requested. Would definitely stay here again. "Rocco Forte Hotel in Manchester"
Great location if you want to be near to central Manchester and great service. The hotel had a "vibe" that made it feel like a special place to be. If I was being picky the breakfast is ambitiously priced at nearly £40 per couple and the parking at £12 a day is a bit stingy. Felt a bit like booking a ryanair flight where the headline rate bears no resemblance […] to the actual price you pay! Otherwise we had a great time and we would recommend it as a place to stay to anyone Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little bit of madern luxury"
We stayed in the Lowry as a treat and were met with excellent service from the outset. The foyer and public areas were fantastic and the location, as regards distance was brilliant. The area around the hotel is not all that good and having seen the river with rubbish floating down I am pleased we did not pay extra for the river view. While the public […] areas were in perfect order our room was a little dissappointing. There were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, several large stains on the carpet, one particualrly large one hidden under the bin! And the sliding curtains, although uber trendy had collapsed a little at the end and let in quite a bit of light in the morning. Having said that I did have one of the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. You do have to ask for tea and coffee making facilities to be brought up to the room, these are not charged for and the teas were rather special. And they are delivered promptly, ours within 10 minutes. We did not take up the option of breakfast as it was quite expensive, but instead we walked 5 mins away for a gorgeous breakfast at Patisserie Valerie. In summary, it is an excellent location, secure car parking (charged separately but reasonable), very luxurious but perhaps a little tired, we were perhaps a little unlcucky with our room. But for a treat, quite something! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"the best of the best"
could not fault one thiing...you cant go wrong staying here..Genuine Expedia guest review
Well appointed room and amenities but disappointing to have to request the in-room coffee making facility. Nice hotel marred by the location which, although convenient for the city, is not asthetically pleasing and has the appearance of a local authority housing estate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I've stayed here several times before and on this occassion for business purposes. Unfortunately due to work reasons I arrived very late so couldn't sample the spa as all I wanted waas to be comfrtable in my room - as always the Lowry deliveredGenuine Hotels.com guest review
