"Too costly for what you get."
I am usual surprised by comments left by users. It always seems like they were looking for a five star experience at a budget (read cheap) hotel. I'm more understanding but in the case of this stay, I have to comment. The room was pretty clean but sparse with the furniture. Hotel was in shabby shape. It states breakfast included. Do not bother. Do not. […] The "breakfast" that these places serve you are usually a joke, but I can get by and find something. This one was dismal. Juice machine did not work. Your choices were coffee (I passed), bagels but no toaster and nothing to put on them, cereal - did not see any milk, and the waffle machine. There was a 2 person table in a 6x8 foot space to eat. Luckily I was the only person there. To improve the experience the janitor/front counter worker decided to mop that area as I "enjoyed" my breakfast (waffle with imitation syrup). As he swabbed back and forth, he even struck my foot with the mop (said nothing). This is just poor when you consider how much the room cost. Not at all worth the stay. "Very Deceiving Picture"
We only needed a room for one night and made a reservation at the last minute; I guess you get what you pay for. Not impressed at all. The coke machine on our floor made a humming noise all night, luckily for us it was at the other end of the hall. The "continental breakfast" was disappointing also. My husband & I are from here, been out of town for […] an extended stay. We had to come back to the area for a few days & decided to get a room instead because we have people staying at our house. This motel is very old. Blankets had big burn holes in the. The Jacuzzi did nothing but shoot dirt out the jets even after filling and draining several times. we had no HBO, No phone in the room. The coffee pot still had coffee grounds in the pot from prior customers. I am so disgusted and very upset at the money I spent to stay in a room with a Jacuzzi […] that I couldn't use. I let them know how I felt when I left and she told me she would let someone know. WOW!!!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Dirty sheets; one set of towels for 2 adults and one towel had a gaping hole in it. Not much interaction with staff but clerk was pleasant. Absolutely would not recommend this hotel. The staff was nice check in and out. The hotel pictured was not where we stayed. It was dark and no direction in the parking lot. There were no towels in the room and no WiFi. Spider webs on the ceiling.Genuine Expedia guest review

I was greeting with a nice desk clerk, fresh coffee and easy check in. There were construction workers there that were upset about something and used profanity. The room however was not comforting. The heater vent had white dirt in it that blew out when the heater came on. The bathroom had mold growing up the walls. The lights in the hallway were dark. "Not worth saving a few bucks"
The only good thing was the desk clerk was very friendly and nice. I just needed a room over night and tried to save a few bucks. Boy did I regret it. This hotel was nasty. My bed linens had burn holes and stains on them and the bed wasn't even made neatly. In the bathroom there was mold growing around were the grab bar attached to the wall. The light […] fixtures were missing bulbs. The elevator was filthy. My room was next to the elevator so I had to listen to it clang and bang all night long. Stay away from this place or you will regret it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was going to write a scathing report because of the terrible service. But I'll temper it, and just say the experience was bad. Had to wait an hour for a room then the room I get wasn't even ready bed was slept in. I did get another room but wasn't satisfied but I was tired so I sucked it up. I HAVE BEEN TRAVELING (BUSINESS & PLEASURE) FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS AND THIS HOTEL RATES AMONGST THE WORST THREE !!! - LOCATED IN A BACKYARD - LOBBY AREA DIRTY AND UNSECURE - SMOKING ALLOWED EVERYWHERE IN THE BUILDING - THE ONLY 'PLUS' WAS A HELPFUL 'RECEPTIONIST/ROOM MAID' WHO FOLLOWED UP ON OUR REQUESTS - ROOM KEYS WERE WRONGLY PROGRAMMED (1 INSTEAD […] OF 2 DAYS) SO WE HAD TO GO BACK TO THE RECEPTION LATE AT NIGHT - WAKE-UP CALL NEVER CAME IN ON THE SECOND MORNING (WRONG PROGRAMING) - WE HAD TO 'RUN' FOR TOWELS AND GLASSES (ROOM WAS SET UP FOR ONE GUEST . . . "Do Not Stay Here"

My wife and I stayed at this facility for one night (two weeks ago). The second worst hotel I have ever seen (the worst being a Days Inn in Durham, NC...owned I think by the same hotel group)--and I have stayed in hotels around the world...everything from top line to budge hotels. I will review the hotel as we drove up. The parking lot was trashed and poorly lit. The pool (which IS LISTED as an amenity on the hotel's website) was covered in green algae. The reception area was dank and musty (but the clerk was friendly). The elevator barely functioned and the carpet was nasty....the elevator smelled terribly. The hallways smelled of smoke and the carpet was awful. Our room was simply horrible. It smelled like an old tennis shoe. The carpets were stained. The AC register had what looked like food particles in it. The bedding was barely made....the bedding was old and disgusting. We used our own blanket and pillows from our car. The walls had some kind of stains on them. The bathroom....well.....oh my. The towels were STAINED and we could not tell if they had been cleaned or not. The walls were stained and the caulk over caulk over caulk in the bathtub was mildewed, stained, and falling out of the cracks. In a word, disgusting. For the price, we did not expect much...except a clean room. They failed. I cannot see how this place passes any inspections. The staff tried (as opposed to the manager at the Durham Days Inn that was rude and did nothing) but it appears that this place is being run into the ground. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is simply awful in every way.

I asked the night manager last night if he had any discounts and he said he may. When he showed me room he said how much was I looking to save and exposed himself in the room he was showing me. I hurriedly left the room (and stayed there because it was late and he already took my credit card info but was afraid all night he would bust in!!! OMG
"Do NOT Stay Here!!!"

My husband and I booked a night here to stay then visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the next morning. The hotel was cheap so I wasn't expecting much. I told my husband before we got there not to expect anything spectacular because it was only 1.5 stars and it was cheap, but it should be suitable for 6 hours of sleep. I thought that all the reviews I was reading were just people being ridiculous. We were about to find out how right they all were! The hotel is very small and the parking lot is small as well, which isn't a huge deal. The lobby of the hotel wasn't too bad, but the TV in there was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. We checked in and went up to our room. We checked for bed bugs, which we do at every hotel after I got bed bugs at a HILTON. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. We checked the sheets to make sure they were clean, they were not. The pillows had what looked like dried blood on them, there was a dead fly in the sheets, and the sheets were stained as well. We called the guy at the front desks and asked for some clean sheets. We figured this was a reasonable request. He comes up to the room, which no sheets, and says, "So the sheets aren't clean enough for you. Let me see." He then walks into the room and we show him what we were talking about. He goes, "No, these sheets are clean, they are just not clean enough for you." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My husband then told him that they did not look clean. He said that the sheets were cleaned every day and that "this is a 1.5 star hotel, if you want something nicer I'll give you a refund and you can go stay at a four star hotel, we are just a 1.5 star hotel, this is what you get at a 1.5 star hotel. These sheets are clean, they're just not up to your standards." I then asked if we could just please get clean sheets, we could put them on ourselves. He told us no. Needless to say, we left that hotel. I can't believe the hotel owner thinks it is okay to put dirty sheets on a bed and the customer service was horrible! Never again.

This was the worst place every that I will not even give it the lowest rating. We arrived at approximately 5pm and our room was not even cleaned. Door was standing open and beds not made. Maid mad our beds quickly with what looked like dirty, used sheets. That was all that she did. There werentowels in the bathroom but also looked like they were used and then folded up again...very stained, or something. Coffee pot had half a pot of coffee left in it from someone before us. Toilet paper was almost gone with no other rolls in bathroom. Electrical outlets don't work properly. Plugged phone in over night and was not charged in the morning due to loose plugs. Curtains falling down. Continential breakfast...what a joke. Coffee so strong you could've sliced it with a knife, no juice in machine. Our keys were only programmed for 1 night and had reservations for two nights. We had the do not disturb sign out so the maid didn't go in the room while we were gone, but to our surprise someone was in the room while we were gone...things were moved and towels were missing. Swimming pool was green. Will advise folks not to stay here. It was like a druggie motel. They had excuses for everything that we complained about.
"Like staying at a dungeon"

I wasn't expecting too much for the price. Just a clean room. My 7 hour stay from midnight to 7a.m (couldn't wait to leave!!!!) revealed the following....Dark hallway due to broken ceiling fixtures, two lights out in my room, broken tv, broken remote, only one hand towel in bathroom (took until next morning to get just one bath towel for two of us), broken clock, dirty carpet, pubic hair found on sheets, disgusting breakfast room with almost nothing you would eat. Furthermore, I had a prepaid reservation, but the night clerk still insisted in charging me again (disputed charge w/ credit card co.). The drivers license scanner was broken, so they took a photocopy of my license and said that state law required them to keep it for a year, even though an electronis copy would have been far more secure. The exterior photo that Americas Best puts on their website has been photoshopped to hide the poor condition of the parking lot and to erase other obvious signs of exterior deferred maintenance. If you stay here, at any price, it is your own fault.
"OK for very cheap"

The rate on this hotel was very inexpensive- almost half anything nearby or in Cleveland, so as the saying goes, you get what you pay for - I needed a room as I was running the Cleveland Marathon- needed to be relatively close so I would have time to drive in and park before the race prior to 7am- so that is why I chose this hotel - The hotel is quite a way down Brecksville rd- almost to where it becomes I-77 again- we missed it the first time by as there is a Mexican place right in front of it- RIght next door is a dump or quarry or something- shielded fairly well by the trees in the parking lot- but we saw a stray cat as we went in and when we mentioned it to the manager she said, "oh yeah, there are 4 of them" The main doors were broken so the side door is taped so it always opens- so no secure entry - this door opens right to where the elevators are- The manager was nice and got us an extra blanket- which was not folded, however when she brought it to us The room had a microwave (older turn the dial style) Mini fridge 4 cup coffee maker- only one packet of coffee and it was decaf the bathroom was very shabby- one set of thin, small towels- the hand towel had holes I turned on the hot water and the handle came off in my hand- luckily I could screw it back on the sink stopper was closed with no way to open it, but I could pull it out the front panel of the sink was missing- the area around the tub was stained- not inviting for a shower- no bath mat The pillows were flat and the pillow cases and sheets had holes the blanket seemed ok - the furniture was dusted and the carpet looked freshly vacuumed- but we still didn't walk barefooted - our window overlooked the parking lot, so we could see our car There is supposed to be a breakfast in the morning but since we left at 5:15am I didn't see it OH and whomever else was on the floor decided to come in at 2am and yell at each other up and down the hallway - not really the hotels fault but not good for sleeping! Overall, if you just need a place to sleep for a night, its fine- would not stay there more than one night at a time for sure- It is just run down and a little shabby- I just find it hard to deal with linens with holes in them-

As a touring comedy hypnotist, I search for the cleanest, affordable room I can find as I perform throughout North America & pay for my own accommodations America's Best Hotel in Independence Ohio came up as a cheap room that was only 15 minutes from my After Prom high school show at the Independence Ohio Civic Center. The hotel - Basic, Very EZ check-in & check out. Friendly helpful staff. Location - safe. Great mexican and american restaurants in immediate area. The room was clean, very comfortable king size bed, ok shower, nice TV PLUS fridge. Minuses: YEP , you smell smoke in hallways... Also, the heater smelled of smoke the 1st couple times it kicked on. After that, it was fine. BEST FEATURE ... well... the old stucco walls reminded me of vacationing in Cuba resorts ... lol, I travel a lot and find that most negative reviews are from people expecting 5 star treatment at 1 star prices. This motel is a good cheap nights stay if your just passing thru. Good overnight crashpad. My Rating - $65 room at a $59 price ;-) North America's Most Hilarious Hypnotist, JimmyG! www.hypnotistjimmyg.com www.facebook.com/JimmyGsHypnoticComedyShow

Please find somewhere else to stay... this place is ran horribly. The room we were given had no coffee pot, towels, or working fridge. We were moved to another room but it had no working remote control,,,it was cleaned fairly well. when we laid down and pulled the covers back the bedding had too many wholes to count the pillows were not comfortable, our bedding was then changed. We could not wait for morning to come so we could leave!
"So Bad we didn't even stay there!"

Was just going to spend the night and all we needed was a clean place to sleep and shower and get going the next morning; The outside of the motel should be a clue on how bad things would go. Entered the dark lobby and no one was there. Waited 5 minutes for the clerk to show up. Checked us in and we went up the elevator to our room on the 4th floor. The door open, went in and in 1 minute decided there was no way we were going to stay there. This old Days Inn looked like it was renovated taking a half a day at the most to do so. Back to the empty lobby we went to check out and had to wait 20 minutes this time for the clerk to show herself. Thank God there was no problem getting credited for the room. Oh by the way, the breakfast nook was about 20 feet by 15 feet with what looked like only one table and chair there. Spent a comfortable and relaxing night at the Hyatt House. Great place!
