I am a return guest to the Estherea. The hotel is quite enjoyable. One can tell that it is a labor of love on the part of the owner and staff. Some visitors from abroad my find the room size cramped but this is, in my opinion, more of an issue with European hotels and less with the Estherea. The Estherea is in a great location, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it highly.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! My only suggestion would be to give more detailed instructions on how to arrive from the airport to the hotel. It is not included in the hotel shuttles and we had a hard time finding out how to take the public transportation. Ended up taking a taxi which cost €40. But it is worth the trouble. Very nice hotel and includes a nice breakfast. We would definitely stay again if visiting Amsterdam.

Only stayed here 1 night - it was convenient and cheaper than the airport hotels for an overnight. Right acrosss the street from the central train station (5 minutes walk), 4.40 Euro and <30 minutes to the airport, lots of restauraunts in the area and plenty of shops - conevnient for luggage as well! Free wifi new TV's. Would stay here again.

This hotel is good value for the money. The room was big, clean and we had a great view of the canal. The hotel is very close to tram stations, restaurants and super markets. We would definitely consider this hotel again.

The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Great view of the canals & friendly staff. The windows completely open which was great! The room was quite comfy (& clean) for a hotel of this price range. I only stayed one night, so I can't vouch for how it would feel for an extended stay.

The hotel is located in great location and if what you are looking for is a small room with bed then this is your choice. Extremely small and noise all day and night. I could not sleep the 3 nights I was here but again it is located in great area.

I've seen some rather unfair criticism of this hotel. Yes it’s basic, but it is clean and it’s situated in a great place. I wouldn’t take my wife here for a romantic break, but we were three lads out on the town and it was fine.

L'hôtel a vraiment une bonne situation. Ses environs sont très sympathiques. l'Hotel est propre. Nous avons eu la chambre 401, avec malheureusement un bout de salle de bain, qui abritait la baignoire, affaissé à cause du toit. Pour mon copain qui mesure 1m90 c'était un peu compliqué. La chambre est petite, mais agréable et suffisante si l'on ne passe […] pas tout le séjour dans l'hôtel. Je pense tout de même qu'il est trop cher pour ce que c'est. Bokade detta hotell baserat på att det på bilderna såg modernt och fräscht ut samt att läget var centralt och trevligt. Tyvärr visade det sig att bilderna varit mycket missvisande och att det som såg ut som ett ungdomligt och fräscht hotell egentligen mer liknade ett standardmotell. Rummet var mycket litet och dåligt städat. Det fönster som fanns i […] rummet satt så högt uppe på väggen att jag var tvungen att stå på en stol för att kunna se ut över den annars mycket fina utsikten. På väggen bredvid sängen satt två döda flugor som någon brytt sig om att ha ihjäl men inte plocka bort. När jag efter första natten gick ner till frukosten blev jag även där besviken. Osten hade tagits in och ut ur kylen så många gånger att kanterna torkat, kaffet var gammalt och smakade frystorkat, brödet var torrt och allmänt var utbudet ganska snålt. Read more

Sentral beliggenhet nær Rembrandt plass med mange restauranter og barer. Rent og pent, bedre enn forventet pris og stjerner tatt i betraktning. Men små rom og litt lytt mot korridor og mellom rommene. Samtaler i korridor eller høylydte samtaler på andre rom var fullt ut hørbare fra senga kl. 2 om natta... Rommet var forhåndsbetalt via Hotels.com men […] det påløp et lite gebyr "tax" ved ankomst. Likevel godt fornøyd med oppholdet og føler at det var valuta for pengene. Fik et lille bitte værelse med et vindue der sad helt oppe under loftet, så vi kunne ikke kigge ud!! Derudover var der ikke fri parkering som der ellers stod på siden, og det endte med at koste os 65 euro for at holde der i 2 dage.... havde vi vidst det på forhånd havde vi valgt et andet hotel. Dog ligger hotellet et perfekt sted - tæt på alt men aligevel […] roligt. Synes heller ikke personalet klarede det specielt godt... så alt i alt har jeg ikke lyst til at bo der igen. Read more

Die Lage des Hotels ist klasse, wenige Meter von der Altstadt weg in der Nähe des Münzturms. Vis-à-vis befindet sich ein coffee@company, toller Kaffee zum Frühstück mit Gratis-Wifi für eine Stunde. In der Ecke hat es zwei schöne kleine Bars und kleine hübsche Strässchen. Ich würde das Hotel für einen kurzen Amsterdam-Besuch wegen der tollen Lage wieder […] wählen. La posizione dell'hotel è ottima e la colazione servita discreta ma le camere sono medio- piccole ed il bagno, almeno il mio, veramente angusto! Personale formalmente cortese. Consigliato a chi sà adattarsi e/o per brevi soggiorni.

unser sehr kleines zimmer hat uns völlig ausgereicht. bad und zimmer sauber. sehr gute lage - also auch bei veranstaltungen mitten drin...wenn bekannt, ohropax nicht vergessen!

Das Hotel befindet sich im Studentenviertel mitten in der Stadt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind von hier aus auch zu Fuß zu erreichen. Übernachtung und Frühstück ist in Ordnung, wer mehr braucht???? Zimmer und Bad recht klein.
