Unfortunately when we checked in our room was filthy. I had to call the front desk 3 times before our room was cleaned (which ended up being 10:30PM), that was a 5 1/2 hr wait.The carpet had huge black stains on it (it looked like it had never been cleaned). There is a world of difference between rooms at Bally's. I've stayed in Dennis tower before and it's nice. This time we got stuck in Claridge tower since we got a cheapo room rate. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. It was super-outdated, basicly no updates from about 1985. At least they kept it relatively clean. I was under the assumption that we would be staying in the Dennis Tower when we arrived. Check-in took almost 1 hour (standing on line). There were room service carts in the hallway for 2 days (untouched). The Claridge Tower is outdated. The TV channels were all blurry. The refrigerator is hidden either as a nightstand or under the TV disguised as a […] dresser. The pool closes early by 6pm. We did not get to enjoy the pool at all. There should be more floor attendants to help give you directions on where to go & how to get there. The pool is located in the Dennis Tower. This Tower looks like it has the nice rooms they website shows you in the pictures. And let me just say, the walls are paper thin!!! You can hear EVERYTHING!!!!! I will not go back unless they promise to put me in the Dennis Tower. For Casino playing, you definitely want to go to The Wild West!!! Read more

I Booked the Ballys hotel but when I checked in we where in the CLAIRADGE tower which really meant we where in the Clairaige hotel that is now connected yo Ballys with a walkway. The room was comfortable but I didn't get what I thought I booked. They also charged a $5 fee to get into your room before 3:00 even if it is ready. The hotel in a total was very good but the interior corridors and hall and elevators are in serious need of remodeling and deep cleaning. Room was very nice and extremely comfortable and staffing was superb.Overall I would definitely return.......

The hotel is in a great location. There's not much more going for it. The bathroom was offal the tub wouldn't drain properly, whoever renovated the ruby room bathrooms did it as cheaply as possible. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Good hotel. Big. Nice. Greatly recommend. Wonderful location. Only problem I was I needed silverware in the middle of the night and the front desk couldn't provide it and too service was closed. Had to search the hotel for a single fork. Also I asked for my view to be changed but I wasn't accommodated. Me and two friends decided to stay for our one night down in AC. the rate was fabulous considering we only booked it a few days prior . thankfully, we got there early and were really excited to find we'd gotten a pretty high up floor. however, when we got into our room, there wasn't even a fridge. it took 7-8 hours before a repairman finally came to […] the room. then it was later on that we realized there was a serious problem with a lack of air conditioning in the room. another repairman came in and asked us if we'd like to be accommodated into another room seeing as this was a "frequent problem in such an old building". we went downstairs and waited another hour in line (there were only 4 of the 10 tellers available on a FRIDAY NIGHT) and were put into a much nicer room. there was no additional charge but by the end of it, we were exhausted from moving all the things around to two different buildings. other things to consider - the parking wasn't included, 15 per car. the beach was literally 3 minutes walk from the hotel which was great and there was a lot to do in the hotel's immediate vicinity. over all though, would not stay there again. I stayed here and absolutely loved it! If your going to Atlantic City and your looking for a fun time, this is it. It has a nice, updated casino and great nightlife. The "Wild West Bar" is great for partying. It also very centrally located. The Bally's Beach Bar is also a great spot to party with alternating live bands and DJ's. Stayed first night at another nearby hotel... decided to stay for second night but seeing as it was the holiday weekend nothing was readily available. Utilized hotels.com to screen 3.5 stars and above and Ballys was the only one nearby with rooms open... They charged a rate in line with a 3.5 star hotel but did NOT live up to that rating. The hotel […] is convenient and clean but I would rate it below most Motel 6's I've stayed at. Heck room still has a tube television. While I don't mind staying in a room of this caliber, I would prefer to not pay luxury prices when doing so. The hotel needs some serious renovation to even get to the 2.5 level. for the money, couldn't beat this! we had a BEAUTIFUL modern fresh clean new feeling room.... the rest of the hotel could use a bit of a face lift but it's still really nice. the check in line was ridiculous but once up front it was quick to get in. the location to the boardwalk is perfect, and it's connected to a few other casinos.

Nice, clean, big room for a great price mid week. Decor is somewhat dated but I wasn't expecting pure luxury at that price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue is that walls are super thin and its easy to hear noise from the hall and room next door. Also doors are big, heavy and slam shut loudly. Great location right on the boardwalk.
