Pleasant enough, not really the right location for where I was working. Staff nice: friendly and helpful. Breakfast standard German continental buffet - ok. Free internet and worked perfectly which is good. Think they do room service until 11pm which is better than most in this price in Munich. Arrived late and left early so not able to evaluate all facilities but it was fine for the one night I was there. Location not great from my point of view so unlikely to return but would still recommend to others.

Good hotel. Clean, safe, parking garage (for a fee), great service. A bit of a ways from downtown (Marianplatz and such) but the U-Bahn is practically on the hotel's doorstep and a day pass on the train is only 5 euro so that is not a problem at all (and you will probably want to have a day pass to use for other destinations anyway). Would stay again.

We found this hotel very easily using the train map.It is very inexpensive to travel from the airport to the Hotel which is right beside the U6 at Harras. The breakfeast was excellent and the staff were so helpful. It is rather isolated from many shops and restaurants but it is so easy the take the U6 or the S7 to downtown Marienplatz. Even a taxi to eat out would be quite inexpensive also. Top tip if staying here. First buy you travel pass at the airport then take the S8 and change at Marienplatz for the U6. No taxis required. We would use this hotel again for a city break.

This business hotel is located in Sendling, near West Park, on the south side of town, six Metro Stops from Marienplatz, the town center. We initially thought it was too far from the city highlights but would go back because of the quieter, convenient neighborhood & the good value. Parking was 15 Euro per day. I would encourage Hotels.com to improve the directions & map in the listing. We've previously stayed in the Hauptbahnhof area, which is not exactly a tranquil, safe area anymore.

I enjoyed my stay at the K&K. The room was a little small but it really didn't matter because I was by myself. I found myself hitting the walls at night because of the twin bed. I opened my window in room 518 and realized that there were huge spiders outside of the window so I closed it. I checked in on 25-11-2009 and the weather was pretty mild (52 degrees). I tried to turn on the air to get it moving around, but nothing really happened. Breakfast was a little to expensive $15/euro, so I decided to eat McDonald's which is 2/minutes away if you walk. The U-6 is right there so 7 minutes you are at the city center and having a crap load of fun.

The hotel was much nicer than we had anticipated. We stayed in a double room and had plenty of space to move around. The complimentary internet was nice and the shower felt like those in the states. We didn't notice much to do around the hotel, but it is about a 1 minute walk to the Harras Metro stop which means only a few minute ride to the center of the city. We did not opt for the breakfast with the room. On-site it costs something like 20 euro's (it was a Sunday, so maybe it was supposed to be a brunch.) Either way, it was not worth it at all. That was the only real negative we could come up with for that price. The room was also very quiet since it is in a more quiet area of town.

Not in the best of neighborhoods but one block from the Harras rail stop - very easy to get to from the main Munich rail station or old town area. If you are going to or coming from the main train station, use the BOB regional train vs the underground subway to avoid stairs at the main station. This hotel is not in central Munich but is right across the street from an elevator which takes you directly to the U-bahn or S-bahn; therefore, you can be in central old town Munich in 10 minutes. Our room was prepaid through hotels.com and was a great value for this 4 star hotel. The bedroom was large, especially by European standards and had a separate entry and luggage storage area and bathroom with tub/shower combo, soaps, shampoo, lotions, fingernail file, cotton balls, shoe polish pads. There was a mini-bar with enough room for storing your own items, a safe, and plenty of storage shelves and closet space. The bed was firm but comfortable with excellent sheets. We did not pay the very high breakfast price but used room service once and found the food excellent and a good value. There is a McDonalds in the same block and a large three story supermarket in the next block. A bakery , deli, and fruit/vegetable booth are also in the same block. The hotel offers free coffee and tea in the lobby area all day, and a bowl of apples is on the desk for guests. The staff was very helpful with every requests. We stayed here for a week and were very glad we had picked this hotel instead of paying a lot more for the same thing in central old town Munich. Transportation was excellent and easy.

It was my first trip to Munich and I must say, for the price really can't beat the K & K. We are already planning a trip back for Oktoberfest and will try to book this hotel. The staff was very helpful as my German is only on a third grade level ha ha! They all spoke English very well, helped us plan tours around Munich, gave directions to all the main attractions, etc. The location of the hotel is very convenient as if you walk out the front door the UBahn station is barely fifty feet from the door. It took us a few minutes to find the K & K to start with but that is because we didn't have the UBahn stop. To get there from the airport take the S8 to the Marienplatz and then get on the U2, the U2 goes two directions so look at the map for the Harras stop off the U2. If you go there it will be easy to find, simply take the lift up from the subway (as opposed to the stairs) and once you come up to the street level look left and the hotel is right in front of you. The room was spotlessly clean and offered free internet downstairs as well as free printing. Very helpful for planning trips. The room was also very large for a European hotel...larger than the other two hotels I stayed in during the trip which were both about the same cost. Bathroom was large also. I really have nothing but good things to say about my experience with the K & K!
