This is an older hotel with a B&B feel. It was just fine for 2 adults but I wouldn't stay if I were traveling with kids. Smaller rooms and no pool. While the owners were very nice, friendly and helpful, the room was a bit seedy. There was some peeling paint and places where there were mismatched tile and dents in wall, cracks in floor etc. Not charming, seedy.

I wanted to experience downtown St. Pete but got a scolding from the hotel manager. I had just finished driving from Ft Lauderdale and wanted to stop and get dinner. While at dinner got a phone call from the hotel manager because I had not checked in. I can understand her desire to know where I was because she lives on site and it was after 9:30. Versus […] kindly asking when I might be getting to the hotel I got scolded for not calling to tell her that I was going to be checking in after 9. After the beat down from the manager she texted me instructions to enter the hotel and my room. When I arrived there was a key in the location provided and I proceeded to go to that room. When I got to the room I noticed that the door had a do not disturb sign. Went to check why and was again scolded now because I got there too fast and that was not my key. The rooms are small and could be considered cozy, but not suited for a business traveler. The beds are old, possibly left from the inns previous life. The shower floor was dirty or just old and falling apart. Inside the medicine cabinets was 50 years of dirt and grime. The TV on the wall was smaller than my laptop screen and across the room. No Irons in the room so had to go downstairs to check out the ironing board and iron. If you want to experience a B&B this might be a great place, but if you are traveling to St Pete I would stick to the chain locations for better accommodations. Read more

Americas Best Inn was so conveniently located that my car never left the parking lot. Was able to walk to the Dali museum, coffee house, water front, restaurants and bars. Great neighborhood and EXCEPTIONALLY friendly staff. Would stay again when in St Pete.

This is a very pleasant B&B style small hotel well-situated in the heart of St. Petersburg. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and the general feeling is one of warmth and family. The breakfast in the lobby is especiallly nice, as is the afternoon wine and cheese. We will return.

We like the location. It was an easy walk to restaurants, the Tampa Bay, and other attractions. The hotel is old fashioned and has some personality. This was a small place. Not your normal "Hotel". More like a cute B&B. Very comfortable and clean. My husband and I stayed here while we were in Florida to get married. The caretakers, Jessica and Brian, were friendly and made our stay a little nicer. We would certainly stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The owners were quite friendly and accomodating, making recommendations for the area and making us feel very comfortable at the Inn. The continental breakfast and evening happy hour were quite nice. Our room as well as the rest of the hotel was very clean. The Inn is older so our bathroom was a little small […] with not much counter space but that was the only thing I could give a negative on and really that is such a small thing that it does not keep me from recommending this hotel. We were in town for Ribfest which was within walking distance of the Inn. We walked to the movies and dinner one night. The town trolley stops in front of the Inn every 15 mins which makes it nice to access the museums and restaurants that are little further away. We plan to stay at this inn again in the spring. I would recommend this hotel if you like the bed and breakfast atmosphere. Read more

The room was extremely clean and the staff very nice and helpful. I really enjoy staying in smaller hotels with unique rooms and the rates were excellent. The ONLY complaint that I had was that the bed was not very comfortable. (Hard mattress) But for a quick 2-day stay it was perfect!

I loved the hotel , even though its older construction very quaint and nice. Owners where very nice and welcoming BUT they should really invest in new beds! The mattress was old thin and squeeky, and the end all we look for is a NICE BED and clean rooms.

This is a family owned and operated small hotel. Brian is friendly, making you instantly feel at ease. The hotel has 40ish decor, simple, clean. Both my wife and I were not sure about what we would meet when booking a non-chain hotel/motel. I must say that I was so wonderfully surprised. The hotel is really a bed and breakfast that cannot meet the definition since it was never a residence. The couple running the hotel live there with their two small children. The kids were watching tv with the […] guests and even snacking in their pajamas. The furnishings were antique and I loved the old wooden radios on display in the hall. Photos and paintings on the walls in the halls were interesting and represented local talent (and were for sale). I asked about whether or not I could bring my bike next time I come and was told that I could and many people did. St Petersburg is an excellent place for bike riders. The breakfast was ample and healthy. I expected that. I did not expect a "happy hour" in which white and red wine is served free of charge with peanuts and other snack food. The people who seek and find such places are special and we enjoyed conversations over breakfast and happy hour with all sorts of very smart and interesting people (like my wife and myself). I would, in short, go back in a heart-beat and paln to do so for my next state board meeting of ACLU, which often meets in St. Pete. Read more

LOVED the inn! The inn keepers were friendly and professional, more than accommodating. I truly enjoyed the evening and wish I could stay longer. My only tiny objection is the bed I slept on was too firm for my taste. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience.

We basically just stayed here over night for a baseball weekend. Everyone at the hotel was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. And the hotel was located nearby a free trolly stop to take us over to the stadium. Would definately stay here again the next time our team is in town :-)
