Guesthouse Inn and Suites - Lincoln 40.85507, -96.64849

We arrived to a room with a ceiling tile missing in the bathroom, that clearly had been removed to access some pipes. Burned out light buld next to the bed. The bathroom appeared to have been "wiped down" and there were vacuum marks on the floor. The sheets felt/seemed clean, the blanket was highly questionable and the bedspread was iffy as well. The hotel is very old and very run down and not maintained. People appear to be living here as their "home" or perhaps they are staying on vouchers from the county. Turned out later that the whole carpet was wet/damp and by the time we got back later in the evening the room reeked of sewage. We did not place anyting on the floor the whole time we were there, wore our shoes and brought a blanket in from the car. Repulsive, disgusting almost went and slept in the car.

We received a smoking room which they said I need to take up with hotels.com, they had nothing to do with it and that was all that was available. They room was old and run down. Overall I wouldn't go back there. The common areas looked pretty good but the room was in poor condition.

Hotel is very run down and outdated. Got there only to be told that non-smoking rooms were out and I was stuck with a smoking because I was last one to get there. Carpet was dirty, scribbling on back of bathroom door. Would not recommend unless major renovations are made.

Hotel is dated. Swiming pool is attractive for families or groups with children. However, is noisy on weekends since pool stays open until 11:00 P.M. If you want an indoor pool - consider. If not, look elsewhere.

not bad for the price

Really the only reason i would stay in this hotel again is because of its location to the havlock social hall, a lot of my friends have their wedding receptions there and its the most convienent hotel in that area. Other wise for the money i would rather pay a little more and stay downtown.

The Price was a bit high I think, but it was also a home game weekend so all hotel reaise there prices. The Room wasn't bad at all. Not 5 Star but not trashy it is an ok place. Hot tub was small but nice. The pool area was a little chilly and the water was a little cool. But the people were friendly and it was Quiet even with Husker Fans swarming the place after a win.

This appeared to me to be an old hotel that had been bought and remodeled a little bit. We were in a non-smoking room, but could still smell a little bit of old smoke. The pool looked like it used to be outdoors and they built a big roof over it enclosing a big area. The water was too cold for me to get in. The hot tub felt great. The door to our room was hard to shut- you almost had to slam it. We slept in, and felt that it was pretty quiet. We weren't bothered by other people. The carpeting was pretty dirty. The bed sheets were just flat sheets (not fitted) and didn't fit the bed very well. The shower head was too low for me, but did have good hot water.

From the outside and the surrounding neighborhood, it was a little scary looking. We made sure to park directly under the big sign and the lights to deter from a break in. If you are under 5feet tall then the shower was made for you. The hotel needed a lot of updates and repairs, (stains on the carpets, stains on the ceiling, lots of rust, scratches on furniture, etc.) The pool looked nice but no one ever swam in it. The mini-golf consisted of 5 hand-made holes by the pool, that again no one used. Same w/ the arcade. We won't choose this place again.
