"close to every attraction by the subway"
the hotel location was great as the subway station steps away and can take you to all the attraction and museums but its so bad hotel the beds are not comfortable and the elevators dont work at allGenuine Expedia guest review
"Could update room doors"
All in all always a pleasant stay. This time there was quite a racket in the hallway as doors did not buffer sounds at all. Some gents yelling about "I don't eat Chinese food!" or something like that. The others calmed him down, but in middle of night, was a little scary.Room was comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convnient to Dupont Circle metro and neighborhood"
The hotel was clean and comfortable but in need of a redo. Carpets, bed skirts, carpet etc need to be replaced. It could be a really nice hotel with some TLC and updating since the location is awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, close to Dupont Circle but..."
Travelling on my own with a young infant and the first thing I encounter are heavy manual doors and stairs down to reception with no ramp. Easy enough but impossible with a bub and luggage. Later, when bub was asleep and I was hungry, I discovered there is no in room dining. Had to go without dinner. Disappointing.Genuine Expedia guest review
We needed a same day room reservation and Hotels.com did not disappoint. Location for Embassy Row was excellent just a stones throw from Dupont Circle. We showed up around midnight after a long drive and unfortunately the hotel did not have our reservation. I had to get on the phone with Hotels.com customer service so that they could re-fax the info […] over to the hotel. Turns out their fax machine wasn't working properly. Then we find out that overnight parking is $40 a night, luckily there was metered parking close to the hotel but I needed to feed the meter at 7 am. Ugh. Next the hotel could not produce a room key for us because something was wrong with the system so we needed security to escort us to the room. Finally we arrive in the room at 1am and it was tiny but we're not picky, just tired. I got into bed and it was comfy. Turned on the TV and of course it was broken. Didn't have the energy to call the front desk. The ac/heater blower was very loud in the room but we were able to sleep through it. This place was in a good location and it was clean so we may stay here again in a pinch. Hopefully they can resolve the issues mentioned. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok hotel, fair price"
Check in was a mess, we stood in line for over 45 min but received free parking for the inconvenience. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was the same everyday but nice. Room was dated and not exceptionally clean. There was a disgusting thick coating of dirt and dust on the air vents and mold in the bathroom and on the window. Room was on the smaller […] side but met our needs. We could hear other guests in the halls and tvs from other rooms. Hotel was average, nothing special. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Amazingly friendly and helpful staff."
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The only thing I found odd was that my room didn't have an alarm clock but I guess that's what cell phones are for these days.Genuine Expedia guest review
"High-quality room, great location, nice staff"
This is not a luxury property, but it is a high-end, comfortable one for an affordable price in a great area for walking and browsing eclectic stores, residences and the real D.C. Staff is nice and attentive. Breakfast is included, but I didn't have a chance to try it out. My wife and I honeymooned here nearly 30 years ago, and the upper-story rooms […] overlooking the side streets are comfortable. I've used the hotel on and off since then for business trips. It's gone through various chain affiliations, but keeps on surviving. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel has it all, as far as I'm concerned! How nice it was to be able to use the internet in the business center AND print in there withOUT paying an additional fee! All you need is your key! And the complimentary hot breakfast was really convenient and quite good! The service was great! The room was clean and comfy, even if a bit on the small […] side! The TV had the NFL Network! And the price was so right! Great neighborhood, too! Convenient location! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything goes except for Wi-Fi"
I would have rated you five out of five had it not been for the poor Wi-Fi speed. I mean seriously, it's the capital of 21st century America and the Wi-Fi speed is slower than some dial up connection in an under developed country.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A political hotel"
The hotel was OK. However, they removed FoxNews channel from the offered channels. They kept all the liberal channels - CNN, MSNBC, HLN. Had I not been so tired upon arrival, I would have left the hotel when they informed me that they do not offer right leaning news channels. The breakfast was the poorest one I've seen. Not coming back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel with excellent location"
The hotel staff was helpful and efficient. I was traveling with my 80 lb. lab and they were extremely accommodating and helpful. The hotel was very clean and a great location for access to food and the metro. The only negative point was that the room was a little on the small side. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to D.C. It was a great […] stay for the money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fix the Toilet"
With the exception of a toilet that malfunctioned, my stay at Embassy Row was quite pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well located, near metro"
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable, a little dated and run down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable but outdated"
Valet parking and all employees we encountered were outstanding. Location was just right for our needs. Continental breakfast very basic. Rooms need updating (no mini-bar, leaking sink, bathroom mirror for handicap only). A bit pricey for what you get. On a plus side they were dog friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Three Day Weekend at Embassy Row."
This is a boutique hotel in great neighborhood. Boutique (smallish) is better in my opinion: The staff recognizes you and is more accommodating. This staff is very good. Rooms were well appointed and clean and in very good condition. Our room was in the rear, with a view up the hill north of Mass. Ave. This location was very quiet. The Metro is one […] block away. The Phillips Gallery around the corner. The choices of restaurants in the neighborhood is superb. The complimentary breakfast is good & fresh & well cared for. I would definitely return to this hotel and I highly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

All good at the Embassy Row Hotel. Clean comfortable room. Good service from staff. Excellent breakfast comes with room. Super convenient location. One block from Dupont Circle Metro stop.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location is the only good thing"
Location is excellent. Staff are good Rooms are dirty , dusty Beds are not comfortable The tv is so old , it's almost black and white .Genuine Expedia guest review
A great location and value. Will stay here again. Staff was very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok hotel, close to metro and dining"
I stayed in room 706 in a queen bed, there was a constant motorized noise, room overlooked an atria. Room felt cramped, full length mirror was behind the bathroom door. The elevator was quite a distance from my room. The Continental breakfast was poor. Poor choice of hotel for an extended stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Embassy Row Hotel"
Our stay at Embassy Row Hotel was very pleasant. Every person that served us greeted us with kindness and joy. They were very pleasant and helpful. It is a very beautiful hotel. The breakfast was great. They are surrounded with places to eat, a CVS store across the street. It is in a. Great location. We plan to stay again on our next trip to DC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location. clean. nice staff."
right next to Dupont Circle and its metro stop. 5 stops from Union Station. lots of restaurants near by. room was great. no minibar. breakfast is poor if you dont eat pork. free wifi. recommend to othersGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very convenient location, very central"
Everything was excellent except an agonizingly sloooow Internet connection.Genuine Expedia guest review
My friends and I had a great stay at the hotel! It was convenient to the metro and many restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel and food- one bad think lousy free internet room connectionGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location in terms of restaurants and transport. Good hotel at the price - clean, comfortable, helpful staff. Beds, linens, pillows all comfortable - an important aspect when traveling. Good for business or leisure when on a mid-range budget. Breakfast a nice perk. Internet however was slow when I was there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in a great neighborhood"
Great location. Central to Metro, restaurants, shops and Embassy Row. Lovely property and well kept. Breakfast was a typical bad American version of a meal that included a lot of artificial cereals and danish and eggs that were very greasy. Adequate at best.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, Little Else"
This place looks great on the outside and is in a great DuPont Circle location very close to the metro. Beyond that, everything from the rooms to the elevators is dated and needs updating -- the first hotel I've stayed in memory that did not have flat screen TVs. There is no bar, no restaurant (outside the free breakfast, which was the same every day), […] bare bones fitness room. Not what I expect from a city hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The Internet connection in the hotel barely functions. This is a major issue for today's traveler, particularly one on business. For this reason I downgraded my overall review of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
no towels upon taking firs shower, first morning. Repair on bathroom wall was unfinished. Toilet rocked when you sat on it. Desk staff were excellent as was the doorman etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Location to all of DC"
This hotel is fantastic. Great location, wonderful breakfast, they held our bags even after checkout so that we could explore the city. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
excellent hotel but wifi service is terrible...not strong enough to work withGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Internet access is horrificly slow"
Internet access is so slow as to be unuseable. I worked the issue, talked to tech-support, and it was clearly the hotel not buying enough bandwidth going upstream.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, wish hotel was great"
Hotel location was great, but expected much better finishes and service from a hotel on embassy row. Beds were nothing special, bathroom was clean, but small and with old fixtures. Hotel was just ok.Genuine Expedia guest review
Well, they have good price. That is why I took the deal, have been here before and I know what to expect....Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Subway"
Great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Internet was horrific -- almost non-working"
Internet access, so vital, was horrific. Analysis showed (and I talked to their tech-support) that it was their contractors problem. The hotel is not paying for enough bandwidth to provide even basic internet service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nothing fancy, but convenient and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms and furniture are old.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was okay"
My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. Overall the hotel wasn't bad, but they were a few kinks. Water pressure in the shower wasn't good at all. I went to the front desk multiple times. When I came back to the hotel room from being out all day it still wasn't fixed. I called and they finally sent someone after that 3rd time. Heater in the […] room was so so, the room was cold. Everytime we turned the heat on, there was this loud noise and the room was still chilly. The lighting in the room wasn't good either, only time it was good was durning the day. Do to natural lighting. For the price we paid, the hotel could have been a little better. However great location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Embassy Row Hotel"
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast area. Quiet. Many professional/business people. Close to all sites in DC. Good restaurants in the vicinity. Would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable Hotel, Perfect DuPont Circle Location"
The Embassy Row Hotel is perfectly located, very near the DuPont Circle Metro stop and just around the corner from the Phillips Gallery, a handsome neighborhood. It's also near the Textile Museum and a few other cultural highlights, plenty of nice restaurants and other conveniences, and very convenient to transportation to anywhere in DC and surrounding […] suburbs. It's well maintained, clean, with a pleasant desk staff, good free wi-fi, an ample breakfast. The only downsides are that the room was a bit small and there is no fridge, but on balance, this is a great choice for a DC stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Metro. I would stay here again."
Friendly, clean, very convenient. It would have been nice if they had a restaurant or change of breakfast menu but it wouldn't keep me from coming back.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location for hanging out with friends and/or going for a run through the city. Valet parking was pricey at $35 a night, but was convenient since we needed to get in out quite a few times. Breakfeast was not much but was available and gym was small but manageable as long as no more than 3 people are in there at the same time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad Internet WIFI"
The hotel WIFI for guests was very slow, it often locked up, and caused errors on my computer (DNS Cache Attack). The TV was locked onto sub-titles which was irritating, they supplied a non-OEM remote control, and the TV did not have a workable timer shut off feature.Genuine Expedia guest review
Courteous service. The rooms were OK. The walls will let you hear you neighbors, but nothing too extreme. Best part was the neighborhood - many restaurants and places right next to the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"THEY DID NOT HAVE ROOM AND DINT GIVE MY MONEY BACK"
NO ROOM AVAILABLE. DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I will be staying here again"
Great location, good room and ok service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Older TV and furnishings. Fine place to stay for value. Breakfast is included but not very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel close to a Metro Station"
Despite the fact that Washington D.C. was closed, we had an enjoyable time. The hotel was right at DuPont Circle which enabled us to easily go visit the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
