VALUE FOR YOU MONEY
IT WAS BEACH FRONT PROPERTY PRETTY CONVENIENT TO CROSS THE STREET TO GO TO THE BEACH. A BUNCH OF RESTAURANTS AROUND THE CORNER & SHOPPING FOR NIC NACS. THE HALLWAYS ARE OUTDATED BUT I WAS SURPRISE TO SEE THE INSIDE A LITTLE MORE MODERN, BUT OVER ALL GOOD FOR THE MONEY.

Just OK
Our room was on a floor that was basically a construction site, as all other rooms were clearly opened and under renovation. We actually saw men working, and it was quite noisy. The hotel had only one working elevator. On our second night we were frightened by someone knocking on our door. Alarmed since we were the only guests on our floor, we called the lobby desk, and were told they would send someone to check it out. When we called to find out what happened, we were told that we now had a neighbor who had probably knocked on our door. Strange huh? Needless to say, we slept with a table and chair pushed up against our door. The breakfast was alright, they had a great selection of fresh fruit and some yogurt, but the hot items were not that great. Although the hotel lobby was attractive, and seemed to be newly renovated, our room was old and outdated.

Brazil...Go, NOW if you can....
Our stay was AMAZING... I decided to go on Sunday for Monday bc there's no VISA free right now due to the Olympics coming in August. Ivan and other front desk staff were AMAZING. ..Any issues was taken care of quickly. The FREE bkft was more then enough and the wifi wofked very well. Next time i will booked an Ocean view room....see i will return before Sept 18th.

Shower did not work and took days to fix
Stayed here for thre days. Complained about the shower when arrived, as it was not working...only drops of water. The next day, they did not come to fix. Complained again day 2, nobody came to fix. Complained again that night while leaving. My mother stayed there. She went to sleep at 10 pm. Someone enters at 11 pm to try to fix and wakes her up. The floor was under construction where we stayed, most likely to renovate the beach view rooms for the Olympics. Complained again when checking out. They said at best they could do was give some visiting friends a breakfast that were going to meet me at my hotel. Pitiful service and issue resolution. I love Rio. I love Copacabana and Ipanema. I love the location of this hotel. Unfortunately, you are better staying at Miramar or another hotel even at a $50 premium in price. It will be worth the extra cost.

Book a room with a Balcony and the Ocean View :)
We stayed in a suite and I would recommend booking the Deluxe Double Room (with Balcony.) I really enjoy the free buffet breakfast and the staff is pleasant. There was a slight confusion with reservation but the hotel fixed it. The WiFi was free, but connecting is a bit challenging (as your are disconnected when your device sleeps.) I will be back!
