Great place to sleep, but no luxury hotel, duh! The front desk people were OK, but not amazing. It took be almost 10 minutes to check, only because no one was at the desk. One of the cleaning ladies had to find the clerk for me. Breakfast was a joke! Only cereal, boiled eggs, and frozen breakfast sandwiches. This hotel was perfect for me. Close to my son and in a great neighborhood. The room itself was small, but I spent very little time there. For the price it can't be beat. The staff was first class. Especially the weekend desk manager. He ensured I had everything I needed for my stay. I will definitely use Microtel in the future.

For those who have not stayed at a Microtel, the rooms are micro and there is not much walking space around the bed. The TV is perched atop the closet and a microwave oven sits precariously on the edge of the desk that has the side cut off at 45 degrees to allow adequate walking space without bumping into the furniture. There is no fridge. There is […] a safe in the closet which makes hanging long coats a challenge. Rooms and common areas are kept clean. Bed is comfortable and A/C works well. Comfortable for one or two nights stay. If you need to work in the room, it is cramped. Internet via Wi-Fi and Ethernet socket. You must provide your own Ethernet cable. Connection is fast and not severely crippled as in other hotels that provide free service, but charge for an upgrade to a faster connection. Breakfast includes cereal, muffins and coffee. If you want something more substantial, I suggest you do a web search for breakfast restaurants in the area. Laundry facilities are available and no coins are needed. Staff members are very helpful and courteous. If you plan on a longer stay, I suggest you book a suite that is comparable to a regular hotel room. I would stay here again for the great location and accommodating staff. Read more

The hotel is nice. The only issue with the room was part of the bottom frame was bent out at the head of the bed. Luckily you couldn't hit your foot on it or anything due to its location. Hotels.com should have higher standards. This hotel was not dirty it was filthy. It smelled terrible in the entire hotel. The room I was checked into didnt have a clean floor, bed or shower. I was given 3 keys to check out 3 rooms, all 3 rooms had dirty floors, hair on the bed & shower. Checked in and clerk did not acknowledge me at all. Helping phone customer. Poor communications skills. Got to cramped room, another couple knocks onnthe door. They were given the same key! Bathroom fair, tv horrible, bed a brick. Stay away from this substandard property.

The room was larger than I had anticipated with lots of useful space. The only thing I didn't like was that there is a very small number of channels to choose from on the TV. We're used to unwinding at night by watching TV and the channel choices were very limited. All of the staff were courteous.

This is a really cool hotel. Me and my girl stayed here for a good five days and it was Perfect. The rooms have a very modern look and feel to them just as staying in the W. of course there are still some outdated furniture but it all blends in pretty well. Your gonna enjoy it!

We needed to book a hotel because we were helping a friend who had a very early procedure at a nearby hospital. I chose this hotel in particular because the photos led me to believe that we would have a sitting area to lounge in until bedtime. This was particularly important since our friend is rather large and he would be more comfortable lounging […] on a couch. The hotel also offered small appliances, such as a refrigerator, to keep our friend's medication refrigerated. When we arrived, we found that we were not given the room with the sitting area. Rather, we had just the two queen beds and no couch at all. The only seat was a simple office chair. To add to our dismay, we found light bulbs that were burned out (which could not be replaced until the next day), crusted puke on one of the "comforters" (which was little more than a heavy sheet), a toilet seat that would not stay lifted, a bathroom that had mold growing at the ceiling, and a wet floor near the refrigerator. While we waited downstairs in the lobby for our food delivery, the hotel staff couldn't switch off the "night lock" on the main entrance door. The hotel staff was so inattentive, that we ended up played doorman to the hotel guests. Then we had to help the hotel staff improvise a solution to keep the main entryway open. The next morning, we found the breakfast area surprisingly small with a limited selection.To top it off, the packaged sausage biscuits that clearly said, "keep frozen," were room temperature. The reviews were ok since we were looking for a less expensive hotel since we were making a quick stay-over in the area. The hotel has a nice outside appearance and the inside is inviting (maybe recent remodeling). I was surprised the bedroom was on the smaller size...definitely not a deal breaker since we arrived late and were leaving in the morning […] before 7:00 am. Reason for writing a review: the bed was definitely on the "firm" side of things. My wife liked it...just not my style. The room was clean & service was good. Didnt get a chance to enjoy pool while we were there so I dont know about that part..It is located in a busy city area, but wasn't disturbed a bit. The only problem was I thought the room was very small, so if you have a problem with small spaces, make sure you dont get stuck in one of their small rooms!
