"Comfortable- Staff Re Charged Me & I Paid Expedia!"
Title says it all comfortable clean in a nice area. But staff at front desk are not that smart. Waiting on my refund of over $250 to my bank account. I chose the hotel because it was conveniently located to Atlanta and because it had a business center. Unfortunately, the hotel only had one computer and the printer was out of ink. I booked this hotel because it seemed like (although it said) managed by Wyndham. From the photos on internet, it looked fairly new. However the room was a bit old than I expected from Wyndham management. so that was a little disappointment. One more thing I had to mention, the cleaning lady didn't closed the door properly when she left. So I came back […] to my room, the door was unlocked and anyone could go into my room by pushing the door. Luckily nothing were stolen from my room so I didn't report it. When guests book through a third party, it is the responsibility of the third party to provide and input the guests' information into the reservation as accurately as possible. Sometimes mistakes are made and it is difficult for a Front Desk Agent to locate the reservation in our system. This may require a call being placed to the third party company and yes may take a bit more time.
Other than the mattresses needing to be a little more comfortable, the room was good! Clean, good showerhead (a BIG deal for me). Wish there had been more channel choices on the TV, but wasn't a priority. Wireless wasn't working for some reason, and I had read this complaint in an earlier review as well. "Not worth my money"
My stay was an experience to say the least! Upon my arrival there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell that was left up front only to be greeted by a less than enthusiastic front desk employee. Customer service clearly was not the primary focus. The first room I was given had a dirty bathroom. There were towels on the floor, the soap was used […] and the tub had water in it as if someone had just gotten out of it. The second room I was moved to had broken lights in it. I called down to the front desk requesting to have the lights fixed but was told that maintenance was no longer on site. The third room I was moved to appeared to occupied by someone else. The television was on along with many of the lights in the room. The fourth room was finally ok. "Waste of time and money"
When I arrived at the hotel, I asked to check in and the front desk computer took 20 minutes to start up to check me in. After being told my card declined to pay the $100 fee for booking through Expedia although my bank showed that the funds were pending already, I was given my room key. No "sorry for the inconvenience" or "I'm sorry about how long […] this took." Nothing. After seeing the room, I knew I had made a mistake and immediately checked out. However, we all know that we do not live in Utopia and things unfortunately happen. However, if is even more disconcerting when a guest leaves a negative comment and review such as this one when the hotel is clearly not at fault. This guest's credit card declined (that means we are not holding any of their money) for their incidental charges and they could not provide any other method of payment for the incidentals and they were embarrassed. I understand that. But the negative comments are certainly not warranted and are totally misleading to the general public.

Had a huge hassle at check in since the reservation was in my wife's name and they could not have been more unpleasant. Room was OK but below expectations. Will not stay there again. Since we stayed there on Christmas Day there was no room make up and they did not post any notice or forewarn us. I remember well the situation and as I explained to you at the time, we can only check in a reservation, if the person's name who is on the reservation, is present. It is a HUGE security risk to do otherwise. I understand how you may have been inconvenienced, however I nor my staff was unpleasant in the slightest during the process. We were apologetic and tried to resolve the issue as quick as possible. We even attempted to contact Expedia and speak to your wife as well to obtain approval to check you in without her presence. Which we did. Unfortunately, when guests get upset about something they view as negative, even though it is not the hotel's fault, their perception and opinion of the staff/hotel also remains negative.. In spite of that fact, we will be dedicated to accommodating and providing the highest level of customer service to our guests, and at the same time keep their safety and security at the highest level as well.

Overall, great location. It was literally within minutes of my destination. The room was very competitively priced. However, my biggest qualm about staying with your chain again is your staff! I checked in about 1130pm. By that time the lobby had closed and entrance required room key access. The Microtel was across the parking lot from the hotel where my conference was, and so, in the interest of saving money, I booked it instead of that hotel. We had two rooms booked (one for our friends). Our friends opted to stay elsewhere. Our AC unit knocked while on so there was a constant knocking if you wanted to have the room cooled off. The room toilet had a stain ring in it and the tank would turn on until it reached the proper level at certain intervals. We noticed it the second night after returning […] to the room. Check-out morning at 9:30 the cleaning staff was knocking on doors and asking if clean towels were needed. We could hear that question from the end of the hall all the way to our door. We had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle and we still got a knock on the door; asked if we needed clean towels, if we were checking out and if so, what time. At that point I went down to the front desk and complained. When we asked for a reciept, we were told to go to the website to get it. Not good in our opinion. I'm sure you would like to know why we stayed. We checked in late and were tired. We had nothing but good experiences on previous stays and we are/were only in the room to basically shower and sleep as we have a pretty hectic schedule when we stay there. We were told we would be contacted by a manager about our complaints, but we still have not heard from anyone. We probably will not be staying at the Microtel Perimeter ever again.
