The management is very professional and welcoming. The rooms supply all your needs, fridge, aircon, microwave, plasma t.v. Updated bathroom. Could use better lighting in bathroom for mirror. Pool kept nice and clean. My room was on the ground floor near the office and the maintenance closet so it was a little noisy but overall it is quiet. Is a short walk to the boardwalk. We never used our car. This was the second time we were there. It's like a Hyundai. You can't beat the price for what you get.

Enjoyed the stay. Only having stayed at many Courtyard facilities, I was a little disappointed not to find a frig, micro etc, in the room. Bathroom sink area a bit smaller than most. Other wise a nice stay.

It was a pleasant stay, and not bad for the money. (Given, of course, that the dollar is fast becoming worthless, and so prices for everything are wildly inflated.) This place must have been pretty nice twenty years ago. Now the signs of wear are evident everywhere... the carpet is worn and a bit ratty, the porcelain was chipped and stained in the sink, and everything seemed just... tired. Still, it was comfortable and clean, and I'd stay there again unless I found a better deal nearby.
Location.
Located near the high-tech firms in Silicon Valley and six miles from San Jose International Airport, Moorpark Hotel is also located two miles from the stylish Santana Row Shopping Village, which offers a European-styled shopping experience.
Hotel Features.
This member of the Joie de Vivre family of boutique hotels uses dark woods and rich leathers in the hotel public areas. The two-story lobby includes a large fireplace and a small library. The billiard room is another comfortable venue, providing contemporary lounge furniture and ambient lighting. The courtyard includes a heated outdoor swimming pool and spa tub. Pool cabanas feature complimentary high-speed wired Internet access. A fitness center and business center are available for guest use. Very nicely decorated hotel with nice features in the rooms and lobby. Nice breakfast. Fun features like a pool table on the second floor. Had some difficulty getting a taxi but all the staff were extremely helpful.

What can I say about the Moorpark? First of all, I was able to get a discount off of hotels.com for booking more than 1 night. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was very courteous. They answered all of my questions in a professional manner. Once I got into my room, I noticed how comfortable the beds looked. Got a room with 2 queen beds - as was […] still roomy! Got a chance to use the hot tub and pool as well. The location is right off of the freeway, next to restaurants and a shopping center. Close enough to Santana Row and the Malls. "Pleasant surprise"
Close by major freeway from airport. Just exit saratoga on 280. Easy access from Sunnyvale and Cupertino. Front desk is very friendly. Early check in without waiting and later changed to a better room location. Full breakfeast in the morning. There is a new grocery store across the street. Only 2 miles from santana row's shopping and restaurant. The […] room is a suite with large sofa. Very roomy and quiet. The only short coming is no public transportation closed by. room was great. Very quiet, large, had all the amenities. Had a "hot" breakfast but it wasn't hot. However, there was plenty to choose from. Had a garage to park in which was great

"Excellent Hotel"
The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Staff is exceptionally personable and accommodating. They offer a full array of guest facilities, including a nice fitness room and even a billiards lounge. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the San Jose/ Saratoga area; it's an exceptional value for a reasonable price.

I love the Joie de Vivre hotels!!! They'll have a theme. Moorpark feels like an upscale hotel, right by Santana Row. Very clean, very comfortable, very accommodating. Front desk called once we're in the room to make sure everything was okay... they don't even do that at Pebble Beach. Quiet, nice grounds would definitely stay again! We spent 2 nites while attending the Cique du Soleil Michael Jackson show at H P pavillion. Excellent hotel service and very attentive to our needs. Courteous people right down to the maids. "Nice hotel for the price, near Mitsuwa Marketplace"
We found this hotel out of random going through the hotel.com website. And it turn out to be fabulous find! Our rooms were normal size for a double queen. The pool was medium size but the chairs were soft and displayed nicely. What I like the most, it was across the street from Mitsuwa Marketplace, where we shopped and eat often. My only complaint was […] our check-in took a bit longer than normal because the front desk clerk had a couple of admin problems, and promised that we would get the pool view but turned out that the clerk placed us at the wrong side (facing the parking). The clerk called later to apologize but we settled in to the room and decided to keep it. Overall, very good rooms, location for the money. Read more

I arrived late and had to leave the next morning, but I found the Moorpark to be an excellent location for business in Silicon Valley - right off I-280 - comfortable, clean and efficient. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and delicious. I will be back.

Stayed at the Moorpark Hotel while visiting family in the Santa Clara area. The hotel was easy to find off the freeway, close to food, was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

This is a lovely hotel, spacious rooms, and excellent friendly customer service. The pool and hot tub were clean and inviting and everything was as good or better than any traveller could ask for. "Nice place for a short stay"
The hotel is conveniently located in San Jose.. We stayed there for three nights.. At the first place, it was clean enough for me.. As a person living in SoCal, free parking, along with free wi-fi was a big plus for me.. I drove to San Francisco couple of times, and location was okay for that.. One of the not so great things was the not-so-user-friendly […] air conditioning.. When it was a little chilly, it was a big deal to heat up the room.. Controls were not easy.. Also, there were three of us staying there and all the room services, including towel sets, slippers, and beverage service were provided for two people only. Although we stayed there three nights, this was not fixed.. All in all, none of the above was a huge deal and we did not complain to management for them.. "Pleasant Stay"
Having spent the night in this establishment was extremely rewarding to both my wife and I. The location was the utmost important reason for us spending the night there. The room was spacious and extremely clean that hotel staff was very personable and pleasant to talk with while rergistering.

Overall I felt that the decor, comfort, and staff were all very accommodating. However, the downfall to my stay there was that the walls and floors are so thin. I could hear everything going on in the hall and in the floor above me. In addition, you can hear a loud buzzing sound when another room uses their heater. "Not safe"
The hotel was not even close to being full the night I stayed, yet they gave me (a woman traveling alone) a room adjacent to the hotel's back door and across from the laundry room. It didn't occur to me to ask for a different room until my sleep was disturbed several times by hotel guests using the back door .. around 3am! Aside from the hotel letting […] guests use the back door after hours (seems highly unsafe to me), the door to my room didn't seem to block any of the noise from the hallway. I won't stay here again. As always, my stay was wonderful. VERY clean, VERY neat, quite, comfy beds & bedding. I love that they have a restaurant & lounge. Many properties of this size don't have those amenities. Any time I'm in the area, this is my choice place to a great nights rest, and be treated like family. Highly recommended!

"Moorpark Hotel in San Jose"
Not quite as nice as we expected. Our bed area was fine, but bathroom needed some attention to the tile and had no fan. No major complaints and no big hoorays.
