If you want a more quiet experience in South Beach, this is a good choice. Rooftop deck overlooking ocean is a great spot. Good fitness room, nice pool area. Courtesy chairs, umbrellas and towels at beach. Wireless worked well. Breakfast at Front Porch cafe nearby is better than hotel restaurant. I like the location on South Beach. It is close to shopping, the beach and the bus line. The lobby is pretty busy and with the restaurant out front it could get congested but it is kept pretty clear. Wonderful boutique hotel. May not be for everyone, if you prefer a more traditional hotel with large rooms, pool, etc, this is not for you, if you like comfortable, cozy, and upscale service and surroundings, you will love this hotel. Great location and great roof top deck.

The Betsy is a lovely hotel, the staff is very attentive were helpful to us. The room was on the small side, but had the most comfortable bed ever. The hotel has a lot of boutique style touches like a small library in each room, really nice bath products and original artwork throughout the hotel. The on site restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food […] is really good (unlike some of the other tourist trap style restaurants on Ocean drive that are just as costly!) The rooftop is nice for lounging and sunbathing and has an excellent view of the ocean along with a bar. This is a well run and beautiful hotel. It is on the north end of Ocean ave in south beach and away from the noise. The hotel was built in colonial style in the 1920's and has been restored well. The lobby is very classy with whites and blacks. The roms are beautiful with views of the beach. The service was first class.

The Betsy is one of the nicest hotels on Ocean Drive. The staff remembered us from a prior visit and the service was excellent. The room was nice, but the bathroom fan didn't work so the bathroom was very foggy after a shower and the water pressure was just ok. Overall a great place to stay.

The Betsy Hotel was everything we expected! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The roof deck was fantastic. We ate dinner at the hotel once during our stay but it was the best dinner of the week. Our room was wonderful and kept very clean and the service was excellent!

The hotel was very nice. Customer service was outstanding. The restaurant was incredible. Downside is that for the cost ($$$$) the rooms were small with no drawers, no chair and a walk in shower that is problematic. There were also no real amenities. The pool was tiny and not used the entire time we were there by anyone. They would have been better […] off to make that area a nice courtyard with plantings, tables for outside seating of the restaurant, etc. I can't say enough about the staff however. Very nice boutique hotel, great area with a park at the front door an a minute walk to the beach. The restaurant is extremely good for any of the meal (we had breakfast and dinner and we were extremely satisfied). Very close to all the Miami Beach action but far enough not to hear any noise at night!

Overpriced. I am biased, because I am used to being spoiled when I travel. I like to be treated politely and with great customer service. My biggest complaint was the customer service. People were rude, and stared at my husband and I if we weren't dressed a certain way. We came in from the beach and someone stopped me to ask if we "belonged" to the […] hotel. The Betsy was small and eco friendly (not my thing). No shower door, no options to watch movies in the room, tiny room, hallways were hot, crappy pool. They did have books and games for rent and purchase (again, not my thing). The pool is enclosed by walls, so not the best space to get sun. Beach was close and was much better than going to the pool. The restaurant was good - BLT is recommended. Overall I would rate this hotel a 4 out of 10. I have never provided a rating before, but I felt strongly enough about this one to say something. While we were there in August, there were lots of jellyfish in the ocean. From the moment we entered the hotel we were impressed Not only was the decor impressive, but the attentiveness of the front desk person was impressive. We arrived very early, but they showed us to a nice changing room and took our bags. We went to the beach while we waited for an available room. My wife and I haven't had a vacation in six years because our son was battling cancer. He is doing fine so we wanted to get away for a few days, relax, and recharge. The Betsy was perfect! We enjoyed a dip in the pool but spent most of our time across the street relaxing on the beach. Chairs and Umbrellas set up for hotel quest made beach time very comfortable. A short walk took us to the party spots on Ocean Drive or to the shopping and fine dining on Lincoln Road. We really enjoyed the pizza at Spris, the bistro food at Paul's, and the italian at Deluca's. The wife is already trying to recreate the bean's and rice from David's Cuban Restaurant. We walked off all the food window shopping on Collins and Washington Ave. My brother lives in Miami and we have already recommended family stay at the Betsy when visiting the area. This is an amazing hotel. The property is great, appealing, and the staff and service are great. The drinks at the lounge bar were superb and the rooftop was a great experience and the food at the BLT was wonderful every time we had it! I recommend it.
