Hotel was close to the airport so that great.But I hate hate hate all the parking fees in San Franciso.

Located right on the cable-car line on California Street, the Omni San Francisco stands two blocks from Chinatown and four blocks from Union Square. North Beach, the city's Ferry Building and the Embarcadero shopping district are within five blocks of this hotel, while the Moscone Convention Center is eight blocks away.
Hotel Features
Bob's Steak and Chop House serves steaks and fresh seafood throughout the day in a casual dining atmosphere overlooking Montgomery Street. Leather upholstery and plasma televisions complement the adjoining lounge that serves cocktails and offers the restaurant's menu. Wireless Internet access is provided in the hotel's public areas. The 1,500-square-foot health club contains cardiovascular equipment with personalized LCD screens, and yoga mats.
Guestrooms
The Omni San Francisco's 362 smoke-free guestrooms feature classic 1920s decor with high ceilings and two-poster headboards. The Omni guestrooms offer wired and wireless Internet access for a fee, cable on LCD television, and MP3 clock radios. Beds are dressed with 320-thread count Italian linens and down comforters. Marble bathrooms contain bathrobes and magnifying mirrors.

Bob's Steak and Chop House - Ground-floor steakhouse with white tablecloths, polished wood paneling, and a wall of windows along Montgomery Street. Several small alcoves for more private dining. Prime aged beef, fresh seafood, chops, salads, and rich desserts. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served.
Bob's Bar - Corner bar with comfortable leather chairs and two plasma TVs. Cocktails, beer, wine, afternoon tea, and cappuccino. Lunch and dinner served from the steakhouse menu. Open from late morning to late evening.
The Omni's 1,500-square-foot fitness room provides free weights, cardio and strength-training equipment, yoga mats, a plasma TV, and individual screens for treadmills. Get Fit Kits for use in guestrooms are available at the front desk, and include a floor mat, two dumbbells, and elastic bands.
Jogging, cycling, and rollerblading are popular along the Embarcadero, five blocks away. The hotel is eight blocks from Yerba Buena Gardens, which includes a historic carousel, bowling alley, ice-skating rink, and children's play area.
Four miles away, the Presidio Golf Course is a public 18-hole course deep inside the city's verdant park near the Golden Gate Bridge. Golden Gate Park has walking and running trails, a playground, gardens, and tennis courts.

The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.

"Business and Pleasure"
We were very pleasantly surprised as the Omni was not our first choice but our friends choice. The staff was exceptional. Rooms need a bit of updating as wallpaper is coming off the walls in some places. The be was comfortable. We were very glad to have robes and the location perfect.

"Close to everything"
This hotel is located within walking distance of everything in San Francisco. The hotel staff are very friendly and available to help with any requests. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in the future.
"Close to the Ferry building/Embarcadero"
Our stay at The Omni was comfortable and exaclty as expected. It met expectations across all fronts. Only reccomendation is to fix the key entry to the rooms. Each time we returned from outside the hotel we had to get new keys made because the keys were deactivated while placed in your purse/handbag. Comfortable, clean rooms and attentive service. Only improvement would have been the location of the room. My room was on Floor 4 looking down onto Montgomery, and it did not allow a view to the sky based on the surrounding buildings.
"Best place to Stay"
It was the best experience I ever had. From the front door with the bell hop collecting all my bags to checking with a free glass of champange to free hot fresh brew coffee deliverd to my door every morning. It was awesome.

I was very pleased with the Omni. The staff members at the front desk were extremely pleasant and helpful, and we had a nice personal welcoming note from the maid staff in or room. The room was very large and comfortable, as was the nice king bed. "Omni San Francisco Hotel"
This is a high-end luxury city hotel. We got a very good internet rate, but valet parking was very expensive. Our room was just renovated 2 months ago and looked brand new. Cleanest carpet I have ever seen in a hotel. Our room had no view but I guess that is what you get with the discounted rate. They had turn down service which included milk and cookies! […] Upon arrival, my 5 y/o daughter got a toy backpack with some token toys which she really loved. Make sure you sign up for their guest loyalty program which is free, but you get complimentary wireless internet as a member. It's better to do it before you get there. The location is great if you like to eat in Chinatown. Only 2 blocks away. Dim sum at the Great Eastern Restaurant was very good. PS-If you have more than 2 kids sharing your room, well, you might want to walk in separately since it is against their policy, even though it says kids under 18 can share available bedding. What a fantastic hotel and experience! We took the kids on a spring break trip to SF and chose the Omni based on the positive reviews. The reviews were correct--it is a great hotel. The location was great--right on the California cable car route and a couple blocks from the Powell and Hyde route. The staff were all fantastic including everyone at the […] Concierge desk. They helped us book our City Tour through Tower Tours and a day trip to Napa/Sonoma. They also had discount coupons for a bike trip across the Golden Gate bridge (a must-do) Everyone from the maids, bellmen, desk staff could not have been nicer. "What a disappointment!"
I have stayed at several Omni hotels through the years and have always found them to be clean, well-staffed, providing the best in customer service. Imagine my surprise when I stayed at the Omni San Francisco with two family members, at my recommendation, and found none of these attributes applicable to my stay. Upon arrival, our room had one king […] bed instead of two queens, as reserved on my hotels.com confirmation. The front desk said there were no more queen beds available, so two of us had to sleep on pullout beds. They then said that it was illegal to have three people in a room because of fire codes, but that they would let us go ahead and stay together. On our first night, we ordered room service, which took over two hours and didn't arrive until after midnight. Unreal. Retrieving our car from the valet each day took at least 20 minutes even though we called ahead, and on the last day of our stay, it took nearly 45 minutes to get our car out of the garage. There was one poor bell captain running around like crazy to get guest bags downstairs. While extremely kind and attentive, he was no doubt exhausted from the constant running around and lugging everyone's bags to and fro. This is a beautiful hotel, and I remain a fan of the Omni chain. It's woefully apparent, however, that the hotel manager is not doing a good job in keeping the place properly staffed to provide the good service that Omni is known for (and that guests pay top dollar for.) I'll be a skeptic on Omni for a while. For the price you pay, even through this website's discounts, the service is not up to standard. Read more

Great location, view of the bay from room, short walk to Chinatown and great restaurants. In the financial district, so a little pricey (especialy valet parking) but that's San Francisco. Very friendly staff. We stay there every time we visit SF.
"NEW Favorite Hotel in SF"
My husand and I go to SF regularly and have stayed in countless hotels and vacation rentals and the Omni was a pleasant surprise. The room was quiet, the staff friendly and the bar inviting. The biggest surprise was the discounted parking on Friday and Saturday nights. We have found a new favorite.
nice hotel. The only negative was when I booked this room I asked for 1 king size bed we ended up getting 2 full beds
